Her water broke, she’s in labour we need to rush her to the hospital. I said as Jeffrey carried Emily in his arms and rushed to his car then we drove off to the hospital.
The nurses brought a stretcher and went straight to the delivery room as Jeff followed them but when they got to the door of the delivery room,he was told to wait outside.
Mum, Emily is just 7months pregnant why is she delivering now? Jeffrey asked almost sobbing.
Relax Jeffrey,she went through so much stress this past few months,we should pray the baby survives it. I said as Jeffrey hugged me.
Mum I can’t afford to lose either of them. Jeffrey said sobbing on my shoulders.
Shhhh. I said patting his back.
*** JEFFREY ***
In some minutes later the doctor came out with a bright smile on his face then I rushed to him.
Doc, how’s my wife and baby?I asked curiously.
They’re doing just fine. Congratulations Mr Remirez,your wife just gave birth to a baby boy although the baby is premature because of the early delivery stress but the baby is very healthy he doesn’t need to be in an incubator, he’s good to go. The doc said smiling.
Thank you so much doc. I said as I shook hands with him.
You’re welcome,the nurses will get you the prescribed drugs Emily has been transferred to the ward. Doc said.
Ok doc. I said smiling as mum looked at me.
Congratulations Jeff. Mum said as I hugged her.
Mum we should go see the new member of our family. I said smiling.
Yes my son. I should call Emelia and pempem to tell them about the good news. Mum said as she dialed their number.

Claudia I want this project to be ready in two days time. I said to my assistant as my phone rang.
Hello Pamela. I said.
Emelia, Emily has put to birth. Pamela said joyfully.
Pamela you’re joking right?I asked then I heard a baby crying at the background.
Oh that must be Jeffrey’s baby,I will be there in 20mins,you guys are still at the hospital right?I asked smiling.
Yeah. Pamela said and I hung up.
Claudia,you won’t see me at the office today so take care of things here. Bye. I said smiling brightly as I took my hand bag and left for the hospital.

Congratulations Emily,you did it. Look at my grandson he’s so cute. Mum said smiling as she touched his cheeks.
Tarah! Jeffrey shouted as he came in with flowers and balloons.
Jeffrey flowers and balloons. I said smiling.
Yes sweetie they’re all for you and my son,more are on the way. Thank you so much Emily for giving me such a wonderful gift. Jeffrey said as he pecked me softly on the lips.
Wow, Pempem you missed alot, this room is filled with happiness. Emily this three red rose flowers are for you and Jeff while this third red beautiful rose is for my cutie grandson. Congratulations to the both of you. Pempem said as he peeked Jeffrey and I then gave the rose flowers to me.
Thank you pempem. Jeff and I chorused.
Wow my grandson is a cutie pie. Pempem said as he touched his cheeks.
Pempem what do you think will be a his name? Mum asked Pempem.
The naming will be done by Aunt Emelia because Pempem named me and Joan. Jeffrey said jovially.
Good choice Jeff. Pempem said smiling.
What’s taking Emelia so long. Mum said looking at the door.

When I entered into Emily’s room at the hospital all their eyes were on me.
No offense please, there was a little traffic. I lied.
Fine. Pamela said looking away.
Congratulations to you two. Come inside. I said to the guy outside and he came in with lots of balloons and flowers decorated in the name of Jeff and Emily. The room was covered with balloons.
Wow. They all chorused in surprise.
It’s beautiful aunt Emelia. Emily said smiling.
I know you would love it. Wow my grandson is so cute. I said and carried him in my arms.
Aunt Emelia we all have decided that you should name the new member of our family. Jeffrey said smiling.
Of course,I will do that with all pleasure. His name will be Jeffrey Remirez Junior. I said smiling as I looked at him.
Wow he’s smiling I think he likes the name. Pempem said with a smile
Jr my grandson. Pamela said and pecked his forehead

Wait a minute. Emelia said laying Jr beside Emily on the bed as she brought out a little box from her bag,she opened it and brought out a silver necklace.
Wow Emelia. I said looking at the necklace.
This is my gift to Jr. Emelia said showing us the necklace
OMG Jeffrey Remirez Jr is written on it. Pempem said smiling.
Yeah when Pamela called me I went straight to the jewelry mall to make this necklace for Jr. Emelia said smiling.
But Emelia who told you his name will be given by you?I asked still looking at the necklace.
Emily told me two days ago. Emelia replied as she wore Jr the necklace.
It looks so beautiful on him. Jeffrey complimented.
