THE WENDELL’S MANSION***
Vince storms inside the house angrily and Odessa who was watching a home video spranged up on seeing him.
“Vince” She called him, but Vince throws her d.eadly glare and Odessa swallows hard.
“Is everything okay?” She asked hoping to get a positive response from him.
“Tell me Odessa how can everything be okay when that son of yours has chosen to countlessly disgrace me!!!!” Vince yells at her angrily.
“Wh… What did he do?” Odessa asked stuttering.
“This is why I keep saying your useless, Carding takes after you, you both are just useless!!”
“Vince!!”
“Why? Am not wrong am I? Carding can’t even make a successful presentation without being timorous, his so dumb just like you”.
“Can you for once stop, you and I know Carding doesn’t want to take over the company, but you keep controlling and pushing him to do what he doesn’t want and you expect him to be perfect”.
“And what is that son of yours Good at, His only good at hanging out with his friends, he has nothing to show for except for his handsome face… He has no dream for the furture, his just like you who have nothing to show off”
“Can you for once stop belittling me?” Odessa said as her eyes turn red.
“And why shouldn’t I, Do you have anything to be proud of? You don’t right? All you know how to do is sit at home with your fish brain just like Carding… You both are so useless!!!” He spats and climbs the stairs to his room.
Odessa blinks back her tears, sitting back in the sofa.
“Ma’am are you alright?” One of the maids asked, her name is Cecelia, she’s Odessa personal maid. Odessa looks at her and fakes a smile.
“I’m okay Cecelia, Continue with what you were doing” She said, and Cecelia nods going back to her chores.
Odessa let out a sigh and immediately puts Carding on call, the phone was ringing but no one was picking. She called him up to ten times and yet he didn’t answer the phone.
Odessa sighs fraustratingly.
“Where could he be? I hope his okay” She muttered with a worried face.

Paige and Carding runs towards an alley and after a few steps, Paige stops running panting heavily.
“I… I… think he stopped chasing after us” She said trying to caught her breath.
Carding looks at her, and she was still holding his hand, he let out a cute smile.
“Are you alright?” She asked looking at him.
“Yes I’m, Why did you lie that you were the owner of the car?” Carding asked.
“And you were also stupid to have believe me” Paige said.
“What? I? Stupid?”
“Yes. I mean how could you have believe me so easily that I owned a car, from the way am dressed you could have sence that I can’t even afford a tyre talk more of affording a car” Paige said.
“Thanks for f.ooling me then, Can you let go of my hand?”
Paige looks at her hand that were still on his and quickly let go of it.
“Thanks” Carding said and Paige looks at him.
“For what?”
“Thanks to the ¢razy stunt you pull ealier, I feel so much better now” Carding said.
Paige smiles.
“I told you that you were definitely going to be okay, My words never lie” Paige said demonstrating, and Carding smiles.
“Is that man really your Dad?” Paige asked and Carding looks at her.
“I didn’t mean to intrude but…. I just happened to see him lashing out on you ealier, and being a curious person I just want to know if his your…..”
“Yes, his my Dad” Carding said cutting her short.
“Then if his your dad, Why is he being mean to you?”. Paige asked.
“My Dad wants me to take over the business”.
“Wait. Your Dad is the founder of Deloitte Conglomerate?”
And Carding nods.
“Wow that’s means your loaded with Cash, Can you spare me some change?” Paige asked and Carding looks at her.
“I run all the way from your Dad’s company down to this place, I only had one hamburger when coming to Chicago, and the excess run have flushed the hamburger out from my tommy”.
“Are you hungry?” He asked.
Paige looks at him and nods her head.
“Yes, am so hungry, and I feel am going to die soon” Paige whines and Carding smiles.
“Your funny…. Come with me I know the best eateries around here” He said.
“Your the real deal, I love you” Paige said smiling
“Huh?”
“I love anyone that offers me food, even if is goat that offers me food am going to love it…. So which way should we go? Right or left?” Paige asked pointing at different direction.
“Right”
“And right we go” Paige said jumping on toes as she takes the right part.
“She’s crazy” Carding mutttered with a smile before joining her.

SUPREME EATERY***
“Wow Chicago meals are always the best” Paige said and she keeps shoving the food inside her mouth, shaking her head and h!tting the table as well.
Carding looks at her.
“Where are you from?” He asked.
“I’m from everywhere” She answers taking a full Creamy chicken wings inside her mouth.
“Everywhere? Meaning?”
“I don’t stay in one place” Paige answers and Carding looks at her as she ate.
“Why’re you looking at me?” She asked and Carding shakes his head.
“My Mom is from Chicago, if you that’s what you want to ask” She said eating.
And Carding nods.
“Can I have more of this?” Paige asked showing him the empty plate of spaghetti.
“Sure” Carding answers and Paige smiles enchantingly.
“I love you I swear” She said giggling.
“Do you always tell everyone you love them?” Carding asked.
“Yes. I told you earlier right, I love anyone that offers me food”.
“Don’t you think is a little bit awkward?”
“Awkward? How?”
“Never mind” He said and signals the waitress to come over and in no time, another plate of spaghetti sauce was placed on the table for Paige.
“Smells so yummy” She said hitting her cutleries on the table, dancing with her Head.
“Your crazy you know that right?” Carding asked.
“I know I graduated from the department of craziness, So there’s no use telling me” She said and began devouring the spaghetti sauce.
Carding looks at her and smiles.
“So what do you want to do?” Paige asked eating.
“Huh?”
“From your response ealier, it shows your clearly not interested in your Dad’s company, So what do you want to do?” Paige asked and Carding looks at her.
“What with the staring for?” She asked.
“This is the first time someone will be asking me what I really wanna do”
“Really?” Paige asked and Carding nods.
“Then am overwhelmed to be the first person to ask, So what do you love doing?” She asked.
“I want to be a soloist” Carding answers.
“So what’s stopping you?”
“My Dad. I possibly can’t go against him, he has my life wrapped around his fingers” Carding said.
“Too bad then… But I have an idea” She said with a smile and Carding looks at her.
“Which is?” He asked.
Paige stood up to her feet and takes his hand.
“Come with me”
“Wait. Where are we going?” He asked.
“Just come with me, I promise not to sell you” Paige said.
Carding pays for their food and leaves the eatery with Paige.

“What’re we doing here?” Carding asked looking around.
“Is a studio” Paige said.
“I know but why’re we here?” He asked looking at Paige.
“To do what you really want, even if is just for a day” Paige said.
“Not interested” Carding said turning to leave but Paige blocked his part.
“You can’t leave” She said spreading her hands widely.
“Look Miss, Being a soloist can never work out for me”.
“And why not?” Paige asked.
“Because at the end of the day, am still going to do what my Dad wants, There’re lots of piled up documents I need to go through…. Am leaving” He said and tries to leave but Paige k!cks his knee.
“Ouch… Miss!!!”
“Sorry, but my talent is interfering in people’s business, we’re already here, and there’s no turning back, Yes our Parents always have our lives wrapped around their fingers, but shouldn’t we be given a day to do what we really want?”
Carding looks at her.
“I may not know you, But I want you to do what you really want, even if is just for today” Paige said, and Carding looks at her.
“Don’t look at me and get to work” Paige said, and Carding takes in his lips.

“Are you ready?” The studio operator asked Carding.
Carding looks at Paige who was sitting next to the studio operator and nods his head.
“Begin” The studio operator said and musical instrument began playing;
I was looking at my dream, that’s being deemed
Far away
And I was standing blankly
I don’t have anything left anymore
I thought about giving up everything, but
I am standing up again
Even today step by step
I step forward carefully
My heart is full of tears
But it’s an excitement that I’m embracing
I am staggering and shaking
But I step forward towards
The dream that I am going to meet someday
As his sang, Paige’s eyes were on him.
“He has a beautiful voice” She said to herself and slowly smiles.
