CHAPTER 36
Suddenly we heard whistle, we sat up, we looked up and saw two securities running down to us,luckily the first one we saw before wasn’t with them.
“Did you just come out of that hole?” One with a brunette hair asked us.
“Something like that” Alex replied.
“Something like that? Dude just say yes or no” the other one insisted.
“Yes” Nicky answered.
“But it’s OK, we are scientists sent by the government to check out what’s down there, since the first scientists that were sent didn’t do much job” one of Alex’s guards stated, we laughed.
“Guys stop it, where are your manners?” Alex said to them amidst laughter. “We are sorry sir, but he’s right, we are scientists, and we finally Found out what Is down there” he added.
“So what’s down there?” The brunette asked.
“You do not wanna know, at all” I said to him as I shook my head, everyone laughed except the securities.
“We gotta go now, we are tired” Alex stated.
He stood up and drew me up, Nicky and the guards stood up as welland we walked out of the park.

“Can I see the orb?” Alex asked Nicky.
She took it out of the pouch and gave it to him.
“It looks like water in a bulb” I commented and he chuckled.
“I think it’s beautiful” he stated
“She said that the mermaids refused to align with her, does that mean that she wanted us to partner with her?” Nicky asked in disappointment.
“Who, Dracula? Come on Nicky, don’t let that bother you” Alex comforted her.
“Nicky don’t mind the b*tch, just relax and enjoy the flight” I patted her shoulder, she smiled at me.
She fastened her seat belt and closed her eyes to sleep, Alex drew me closer to himself, I chuckled.
“Must you always hold me like I belong to you?” I asked him.
“You belong to me, I belong to you, we belong to each other, that’s the reality we both can’t change” he breathed out, I was so tempted to kiss him but I didn’t wanna make the first move.
“I like that reality” I flirted, he smirked and winked at me.
“And that’s why I will always hold you and never let go” he assured me, I melted in his arms.
“Will you two cut it out and sleep?” Nicky screamed at us.
We laughed. “Jelly” we fired at her.

“Hey babe wake up, we are home” I heard Alex’s voice calling me, I opened my eyes and realized that the jet has stopped, I looked out the window and noticed that we have arrived at their private runway.
“When it’s time to sleep, she will be busy playing love but when it’s not time to sleep, she’ll be snoring like a sick pig” Nicky humored, I felt like k*lling her.
“I don’t snore” I argued.
“Yea right” she rolled her eyes, Alex and the guards laughed.

We got out of the jet, I was expecting to see Alex’s parents and some guards standing here to welcome us but no one was there, not even a car.
“That’s weird” Nicky complained.
“Didn’t you notify them of our arrival?” Alex asked the guard.
“I did that, but that was around 3:am, it’s 6:am now, maybe they are still sleeping” one of then replied.
“Are you even listening to yourself, my mother will never hear that I’m coming back from a trip and wouldn’t run to welcome me even if I was gone for just an hour, and she will definitely drag her husband with her. Something is not right” Alex insisted.
“Do you think….” I wanted to ask the worst question that I don’t even want to believe.
“Could it be that….” Nicky added.
Looking at our faces, Alex understood what we were talking about.
“He wouldn’t dare” he breathed out in anger and walked out, we ran after him.
When we got to the pack, everywhere was so quiet which is unlike the pack. There’s always movement in the packbut right now it was so quiet.
“Nicky, you guys should go back to your rooms, I’ll go and check on my parents” Alex instructed.
“But….” I tried to argue but he was already gone.
“It’s OK, he will be fine, I’m sure there’s a perfect explanation of what is going on” Nicky assured me.
“You think?” I asked and she nodded with a smile but I know that deep in her heart, she also doesn’t seem convinced that everything is alright.

We got to the room, she shut the door, we both sat in the bed with worried look.
“Come on Nicky, you and I know that there something seriously wrong, I mean did you see how dry the passages were, no single soul was passing by, it’s as If this place was abandoned and hour ago” I said to her.
She shrugged. “I know something is wrong Andra, maybe that’s why I had that weird feeling before we left for Transylvania, but we can’t just start roaming about, we have to wait for Alex to know what next to do” she stated.

We became quiet, a few minutes later we heard a knock on the door, I gripped her arm in fear.
“It’s ok, I’ll go check who it is” she assured me.
She stood up and walked to the door, she took a deep breath and then opened it. Alex stormed into the room.
“Jeez Alex you scared me” Nicky complained.
“I’m sorry, but listen to me, no matter what you hear, stay here, do not come outside ok?” He instructed.
I jumped out of the he’d and ran to him.
“Alex what’s going on?” I asked in fear.
He sighed deeply.
“Caspian is here isn’t he?” Nicky asked him. He nodded slightly.
“You both should stay here, he rounded everyone at the field and….”
As he was talking, the door flung open and a musclar handsome guy walked in.
“Sire, you are here?” He asked and gave Alex a bear hug.
“Martins, Caspian didn’t capture you?” Alex asked in happiness.
“No, your father insisted that I hide and help you fight him when you return” the martin guy stated.
“What’s the situation right now?” Alex asked.
“He Captured everyone, I don’t know how they got through the gate, I believe there’s someone in the ICT room that opened the gate for them” martins replied.
“Lenny’s brother is the only lycan in that CT room, the rest are werewolves and none of them knows the password” Alex stated.
“Maybe he was just trying to help his sister” one of the guards said.
“I know he’s your friend John but he betrayed the pack and there are consequences” martins stated.
“What’s the way forward then” the other Second guard asked.
“Caspian has gone to far, and it is high time I break him” alex snareled as he looked out the window.
“Alex what will you do to him?” Nicky asked quietly which got me confused, why is she asking.
Alex swiftly turned to her and asked my thought “why do ask?”
She shrugged “nothing I just….” She sighed deeply “nothing”

Alex stared at her softly for a while, he sent his head and shut his eyes, he walked to her and hugged her and then whispered something into her ear, she nodded like a baby and for a second I felt jealous but I shrugged it off.
But still, I don’t understand why Nicky is so concerned about Caspian.
“Let’s go” Alex said to his guards and walked out, they followed him.
As soon as they shut the door, I heard a crack sound indicating that they lock it from outside.
I curled myself on the bed and prayed for his safety while Nicky paced around the room.
I decided to ask. “Why are you so concerned about Caspian anyway?”
She shrugged.
“That’s not an answer girl” I insisted.
“Because I don’t know the answer, I don’t know why. I don’t know why I’ve been thinking of him ever since the day he gave us a lift….”
“Which he ended up kidnapping us” I yelled at her.
“Then why am I so drawn to him, why do I yern to see him everyday and why does it hurt so much that don’t see him, questions I cannot answer Andra, and I’m scared of what the answers might be” she cried out.
I ran to her and hugged her, now I know why Alex hugged her, he knows the answer and I think I know too but I didn’t wanna believe it.
How can that even be. Now I know that we can’t run away from our destiny, neither can we change it.
The door Swung open and two men in leather jackets Walked in. Each of them was holding 48 police special pistol.
“They You are” one of them stated. “Finding you Two was pretty stressfull” he added.
We didn’t need to be told that they are Caspian men.
“Move, come on let’s move it.” The one pointed out.

They led us to the field, everyone was tied up.
How were they able to subdue them all?
“Ever heard of tear-gas?” One of the men asked me and laughed.
I looked around for Caspian and Alex.
I saw them, alex was holding Caspian’s neck about to break it.
“Alex!” Nicky screamed at him.
He looked up and saw us. He and Caspian were looking so blood*, they must have had a serious fight.
He eye brows crashed together in fury, before I could blink, he already tore the two men into pieces, I like it when he does that, I smiled a bit.
“Let me go” I heard Nicky scream. Another Caspian’s guard was dragging her towards him.
Alex snatched her away from him.
“If you wanna take her, you gonna have to go through me” Alex insisted.
“Darius you’ve gotten everything you wanted, I’m tired of fighting you and shedding the blood of my own people, you’ve chosen to he human and nothing I do will change your mind, I’ve given you all you wanted, I’ve called it truce between us, you can have your life as you want it, you’ve deprived me of many things but please can you not deprive me of the onlg reason why I’m fighting so hard not to breath my last breath” Caspian cried out.
I felt tears slide down my cheeks, Nicky looked up at Alex with pleading eyes, he nodded at her, she smiled and nodded back.
She ran to Caspian and gently put his head on her laps, she tried to use her dress to clean the blood on his face but Manuel rushed out of the crowd and stopped her.
“No, you will get him infected, let me get my first aid box” he stated and rushed off.
Alex and I walked down to them, Alex bent down and touched Caspian’s head.
“I’m sorry for hurting you brother” he apologized.
