CHAPTER 17

Audrey stared at the duo, her eyes digging holes into their souls. She needed no soothsayer to tell her what was going on between them.

“I’m coming, Axel. I’m…” Axel removed his hand at once.

“Why did you stop?” She asked breathlessly.

“We’ll continue later” Axel simply said. He brought out a handkerchief and cleaned his hand with it before disposing it away.

The girl smiled and left him alone.

Audrey used that opportunity and went to sit beside him.

“Are you free today?” She asked.

“No”

“Why?”

“Do I need to tell you what I do with my life?” Axel asked.

“Are you planning to fk that girl?”

“You know you can’t do that to me, Axel. I’m here for you, do you have to go to other girls too?” She half yelled.

“Am I the only one fking you?” Axel asked emotionlessly.

“What?” Audrey stuttered.

She gulped down nothing and stood up slowly.

“If not then keep your mouth shut and don’t dictate my life for me”

“Sorry” she mumbled before walking away.

“Bch” Axel brought out a box of cigarettes and at that time, the professor entered.

He put the ¢igarettes back in his pocket and brought out a book.

Even though he’s a playboy, he doesn’t joke with his books. He’s brilliant as fk!

“Are you hungry?” Lauren asked Melanie. They’re busy taking a walk around the school.

“I’m not,” Melanie replied sullenly.

“You can’t keep doing this to yourself, Melanie. Have you had your breakfast this morning?” Lauren asked.

Melanie looked away without saying anything.

“Like seriously, are you trying to kill yourself? Just because of those that don’t worth your time and tears? Those a$sholes that are busy eating their a$s out?” Lauren yelled.

“Lauren,” Melanie called slowly, holding her by the arm.

“Sorry, I was just mad. Don’t starve yourself, okay?”

Melanie smiled before resting her head on her shoulder.

“Thank you” she whispered

Lauren placed her hand on her hair and patted it slowly.

“So, should we visit the cafeteria?” Lauren asked.

Melanie raised her head from shoulder and nods her head

“Good girl. Momma is proud of you, alright?”

Melanie laughed softly and Lauren joined her.

“Melanie!” Paisley called behind them.

Lauren and Melanie turned watching as Paisley walked towards them.

“What do you want from her?” Lauren asked.

“Stay out of my best friend’s business” Paisley said to her.

“Best friend?” Melanie scoffed.

Paisley held her hand.

“Melanie, I know you’re mad at me right now, but we’re still friends. I’m your best friend”

“Stop saying that word, it irritates the h’ll outta me!” Melanie snapped angrily.

“You’re nothing but a betrayal, a bch, a who.re, a hoe!” Melanie spat angrily.
