CHAPTER 18
Slowly, Paisley’s hand left hers as she stared at Melanie in shock.
“To think you have the gut to smile at me, the gut to act like my friend when you’re busy doing sht behind my back. Isn’t that disgusting?”
“Aren’t you ashamed of yourself? Of all people, you decided to do this to me. To top it all, you never felt remorseful. Paisley, I’m so disappointed in you” she shouted angrily.
“It was your fault anyway!” Paisley suddenly shouted.
“My fault?”
“You never gave him what he wanted so he had no choice but to come to me. You were always acting like a good child and that pissed me off!”
“He wanted sx and you deprived him of it, I gave him what he wanted so this isn’t my fault. It was your fault Melanie”
“Are you listening to yourself at all? Can’t believe you can be this shameless” Lauren shook her head in disgust.
“My fault you say?” Melanie chuckled slowly.
“You know what, let’s end it here. This so-called friendship, let’s end it here. I can’t continue to be friends with a person who $tabs me in the back.”
“Let’s go, Lauren” Melanie left immediately.
Lauren faced Paisley.
“Your actions now proved to me that you never loved her in the first place, you’re just a pretender” She said and went to meet Melanie.
Paisley folds her fist tightly, blinking her eyes rapidly.
A single tear slipped out of her eyes and she wiped it off before leaving the place.

THREE DAYS LATER***
It’s been three days since the incident, Paisley never talked to her after that day and Melanie didn’t too. They were like strangers to each other now.
Melanie came out of her room and at that time Axel did too. They both locked eyes before Axel finally walked away.
Melanie got outside and met Ace waiting for her, she rolled her eyes before walking past him.
“Are you leaving for school?” Ace asked.
Melanie ignored him and continued walking away, not glancing at him for once.
Ace went to her and hugged her from behind, resting his head on her shoulder.
“I’m sorry, Melanie. I’m a jerk, I shouldn’t have done that to you, I’m so sorry” He apologized.
Melanie sniffed her tears before moving out of his hold, she faced him.
“Sorry, you say? You were dating my friend behind my back and do you know what that means? It shows you have no single respect for me!”
“It shows I was nothing but a toy to you and do you know what hurt the most? Giving my vrgnity to a scvmbag like you!” She shouted.
Tears fell from her eyes and she did bother to clean it away as she continued leashing out her anger on him.
“If you had done it with someone else, it wouldn’t have hurt this much, but my friend…. Not just my friend but my best friend!!” She shouted in tears.
Ace quickly pulled her to a hug.
“I’m sorry, please forgive me baby” he begged.
Melanie struggled to free herself from his arms to no avail, his hold was tight around her.
“It’s rather clear that she wants you to leave, why do you keep forcing yourself on her?” Axel asked behind them.
Melanie used that opportunity and pulled free from the hug.
Axel walked to them and hold Melanie’s hand, dragging her to his side.
“Let’s go, Mel,” he said to her.
He made to drag her away when Ace caught her other hand.
“Don’t interfere in this, Axel. It’s none of your business” Ace said.
Axel chuckled. He faced Melanie
“Mel, it’s up to you. Would you like to go with him or me?” He asked, staring directly at Ace.
