I screamed and moved backwards in fear as I shouted “Stay away from me, you mon$ter!”

“What..what are you talking about?” Annie furrowed her brows in confusion.

I shifted back in fear as Annie still has a confused look on.

She isn’t my friend. She is my enemy! She wants my downfall.

“Camille, I don’t understand you again. What is wrong with you?”

“Please, Just leave me..I want you to stay away from me” I said.

“You have been acting really weird lately and honestly, it is becoming annoying. Firstly. You smashed my phone for no reason, now, you are drinking..like, I don’t get.., when did you start drinking. I feel like you are not the camille I know..This, this lady in front of me right now is someone else” Annie retorted but I wasn’t even listening. Her presence is scaring me right now.

“I just want you to leave, please” I pleaded.

“Camille “ She said softly as she made to come closer to me but I shifted back In fear.

“Did something happen?” She asked worriedly staring at me intently.

“Yes..” i whispered.

“Did I cause it?”

“Yes”

“Oh…what did I do?..” she asked raising her brows.

“I can’t..just leave…”

“So you aren’t going to tell me?, camille, we have been friends since like forever!”

She really needs to understand I don’t care about all these. She should just leave me alone for Christ sake!

Annie looked at me as her eyes were already red. She sniffled and stood up.

“It fine..am going to leave you alone since that is what you want” she looked at me and then added.” And I hope you sort out whatever it is that is bothering you”

With that, she left closing the door quietly behind her.

I heaved a sign of relief immediately she left. The dream feels so real. But Annie is my best friend. She is nice, caring and harmless. Why is she evil in my dream.

Is she just pretending? Is she really supporting Asher’s in real life.

All these is driving me ¢razy!

Dreams do come to pass, I heard and the thought of it scares me.

Not Annie, not the gurl I trust and cherish. Let the dream not be true.

Is this what she would have said if I had told her about Asher?
She is wouldn’t mind ? She would have advised me to remain in an abusive marriage.

Oh God! Her words. That is exactly what she would have said.

Am really happy I haven’t told her. Now, I know her true colors. I just have to avoid and maintain my distance with her.

I am also going back to New York. Time to face Asher and my punishment.
Will leave L.A tomorrow or the day after. I can’t continue hiding from him and he definitely would find me if I stay longer and my punishment is just going to be too much.

I just sat down thinking..about Annie, Asher and lastly, my miserable life.

AUTHOR’S POV

Mr Campbell is trying to persuade Scarlett. She didn’t let him in or talk to him the previous day which was on the wedding day.

Mr Campbell have been trying to talk to her but she just don’t want to see him.
She finally let him in and crossed her legs seated on the bed as she waited for him to talk.

“You really don’t have to leave yesterday” he said calmly.

“Why wouldn’t I? I was embarrassed. I was very embarrassed by an unknown woman I don’t know from Adam on my wedding day.” Scarlett said in anger.

“I don’t even know her..I don’t know who she is..”

“Of course you do, how else does she knows your full name?” Scarlett asked.

“Anyone could have find out that. Scarlett, you need to reason this okay, lots of people are jealous of you and many people don’t want you to get married to me”

“Including your toxic children” Scarlett said inwardly and then scoffed.

“The point is someone must have sent the woman or she is just one of the toxic people that wants your downfall and unfortunately, she succeeded.”

Scarlett raised her brows thoughtfully. His words sounds convincing enough. “That true, but I couldn’t go on with the wedding at the moment. You should understand that..”

“I understand…we could fix another date, that is if you are still interested..” he said.

Why won’t she be? She need to get married to him so as to collect his inheritance. She wants all and she is going to succeed in doing that and the first step is getting married to him.

“Where is the woman?” Scarlett asked instead as she remembered me Campbell ordered his bodyguards to drive her out.

“They…let her go” Mr Campbell gritted her teeth still angry at his bodyguard stupidly.

“What!, are you kidding me?!, where are they? I want to see them, right now”

“Scarlett, have taken care of them, don’t bother yourself”

“No, No, No!, I don’t care! A woman practically destroyed my wedding and they just let her go just like that and you expect me not to do anything. I want them now!”

Mr Campbell nodded and placed a call for them to come. The lady in front of him, that is not even up to the age of his first born is driving him crazy. He is in love with her or lu$t but wherever it is, he love it and don’t seem to care.

He doesn’t care if she is his son’s ex. He actually don’t give a dmn!

The first time she seduced him, he couldn’t resist her and they both had sex. She was still in a relationship with Harry then.

She then told him she doesn’t love Harry again and wants him instead. He was smitten by her already and would do anything just to have her. So when Scarlett suggested they get married, he had no choice but to accept.

Some minutes later, the three bodyguards entered Scarlett’s room and bowed down their head.

“Are you guys dumb or your brain just suddenly stopped working?” She asked them in anger.

They said nothing and just bowed down their head as their feet felt wobbly while mr Campbell just watched.

Scarlett moves closer to them…”Look at me” She said and they did so immediately.

“You guys deserve to die, do you know that?”

They pleaded with their eyes as they were scared to talk in order not to make her more angry that she is already is.

$LAP!

She $lapped the first guy really hard.

$LAP!

She did to the second guy.

$LAP!

and the third guy.

“Next time, before you do something, you would lrwrn to use your brain. Now, leave my room !”

“We..we are sorry!” The first guy said as he couldn’t wait to get out and nurse his hurting cheek.

“You stay in here for 10 seconds more, you are dead!” Scarlett deadpanned and they hurriedly left the room.

Scarlett huffed and faced Mr Campbell. “Now, we need to find out who the woman is”

“Just forget about it okay, she won’t dare come back” Mr Campbell assured.

Scarlett scoffed. She is going to find who the woman is herself.
