He had never forgiven her for what she did and that was why he had given her child away as soon as she was born.

She had thought that as years past. He would be in regret for giving his grand child away but he isn’t. She thought as she stared at him.

“I will surely do that do”She heard Gerald reply and she knew then that she had had it with everyone.

“Why would you do that?”she said suddenly as all eyes turned to her.

“Why would you look out for me when am just your employee? Do you do the same for everyone else?”She asked starring at Gerald who was also starring at her back.

“What are you saying Arabella?”Her mother whispered at her and she threw her cutlery down on the table.

“Have had enough of this nonsense and I would like to leave “Arabella said as she stood up .

“Arabella stop right there!”her father called making her stop immediately.

“Don’t be rude and come back to the table”He said and breathing out an angry sigh, she turned to stare at her father.

“And watch how you and mom try to sell me to Gerald. I would rather leave than to watch that”She said as she turned to leave again.

“Arabella to my study”Her father commanded as he stood up, heading to his study.

She didn’t want to follow but seeing Gerald made her feel embarrassed at having to have him watch the fight going on between her and her parent.

As soon as she got into the library. She was welcome with a slap. It isn’t the first time her father will hit her and so she is used to it.

“How dare you try to ridicule your mom and I?”He asked starring at her.

“And how dare you try to sell me off to Gerald? You have no right to do that when I can certainly take care of myself!”She yelled at him in return.

“Your future is the only thing we are thinking of. When will you stop being ungrateful and try to accept the help we are giving to you”He said.

“Help? Just when I needed your help and support what did you do ?”She asked glaring at him.

He looked away from her and went to his desk where he sat on his seat before answering her question..

“If you are talking about what happened years ago. You should quit it now.

Its been a long time and you should forget it” He said dismissing it as if it was nothing, infruiating Arabella more.

“How can you say that? I thought that while all this years have passed you would feel a little guilt at having done that to her but still you don’t feel a thing”She said.

“Why? Why should I feel guilty when I was doing the right thing for……”

“You weren’t doing the right thing for me. I had gone to that party without your permission.

I had slept with a stranger and had gotten pregnant.

I should have been the one you punished but you had to take it out on that little girl! My daughter who I had given birth to had to pay for what I did”

“You didn’t even let me see her properly. As soon as she was born. You gave her up for adoption.

I couldn’t do anything because i was just a child myself but I wanted my daughter with me”She said as the tears Kept coming.

“Stop being a fo®l. You were happy to have the child out of your life. Having her out of your life made you who you are today.

Did you think anyone would have offered you a place if they had known about your dirty past?”Her father said.

“I never wanted it! I never wanted to be famous. I would have been contented with my daughter and whatever job I get. Your greediness led you into taking away my child from me.
