Georgia smiled at the Comment
“Thanks, you ain’t looking bad yourself”
Damien smiled back with a nod as they took couple of steps away from the men and women who had gathered around
He saw her took deep breaths of relief
“Ain’t I your saviour, that was why I never liked associating with business and rather bury myself in my doctor job”
He commented, he only came tonight to represent his father who was the one dealing with the business part of the family’s inheritance but was too sick to attend.
Georgia couldn’t agree less
“How are you Georgia?
Damien asked seriously
He knows about how Dylan had been treating Georgia ever since he woke up, it was as if all his affection for her had been transferred to the lady from the Summer’s, what was her name again?

Georgia paused then smiled
“Very well, we are fine”
She was referring to both she and the baby, Damien knew.
She is a strong woman.
that was what Damien had come to conclude about Georgia.
She is a fighter, but he knows it was all a facade, the bold front, the relentless lady she had become was all a mask.
Deep inside was a weak woman who needed protection and love and kindness
He saw the way her eyes glistened under the chandelier lights.

“You know” She said trying to change the topic “being a doctor suites you and glad you really knew what you wanted”
Damien chuckled
“I know right and it’s good to have supportive parents too, I’m a one lucky dude when it comes to that”
Georgia gave Damien a wrinkled look
“Dude…. seriously, are you tryna rub it on my face that I was quite unfortunate with that one?
She asked mouthing over to a spot which Damien slightly looked over to see Mr Sterling who was currently smiling at what someone said.
Damien chuckled.
He knows about Georgia’s feud with her father, who doesn’t.
“He’s smiling so hard, I’m afraid his mouth’s gonna hurt”
Damien joked making Georgia to laugh
Georgia searched for her grandpa around and saw him speaking with Mr Hart, from the smiles and laugh they shared, one could tell that those two were friends.
All these while Georgia was oblivious to the look she was receiving from her ex fiancee, Raymond.
His eyes travelled to her face and neck and chest and downwards
No matter how less revealing the dress she wore was, he was still affected by her.
He looked around and couldn’t see Dylan anywhere around her
That was strange, did they break up?
He thought
As if a movie director suddenly yelled action, the whole hall seemed to grow quiet, you could feel the pin drop silence.
Georgia suddenly scared about this sudden silencer where everyone was looking at the entrance, turned her head slowly, almost afraid to look.
Her fingers gripped the champaign glass she was holding
At the entrance to the hall, Dylan clad in a black tuxedo, a double breasted Jacket hung perfectly on his broad shoulders and his trousers emphasising his narrow waist, looked nothing but dangerously handsome with his her combed neatly to a side.
Her breathe hitched and in her wealth of emotions, her heart seemed to stop when she noticed the person beside him whose arm was linked around his.
