Episode 20

Arthur’s Pov:

I quickly carried her in my arms and rushed straight out of the mansion.

She was still unconscious with her eyes shut.

I carried her into the car as I drove out of the compound.

What the hell was she thinking when she took the ab®rtion pills?

Does she want to get herself killed?

What the heck is going on in that stupid head of hers when she thought of killing my child?

Questions kept running through my mind.

I need to rush her to the hospital,,, she’s already losing so much blood due to her stupidity.

I got to the hospital as soon as possible since it wasn’t that far.

I parked my car not minding the bad position where I parked it.

I carried her out and rushed into the hospital.

“Someone please help’ I shouted as I got into the hospital.

Some of the nurses quickly provided a stretcher and she was carried into the emergency room.

My shirt was already stained with the bIood on her night gown.

I just hope she doesn’t lose my child because of this ¢raziness of hers.

I paced around the place impatiently.

I can’t wait to hear from the doctor if my child is still safe or not.

Natasha’s Pov:

I was rushed into the emergency room and the doctor rushed in with the nurses.

“She has lost a lot of bIood doctor” The nurse pointed at my stained dress.

The doctor quickly placed the stethoscope on my chest.

“This is really strange” She turned to the nurses.

I quickly got up from the bed as they all gasped in shock.

“What? Why are you all behaving like you’ve seen a ghost?” I snapped rudely as they shook their head.

“I thought you were unconscious a while ago and…..” The doctor stuttered in confusion.

“Arghhhh…. Just shut up already! This is none of your business” I groaned as I rolled my eyes.

“Then maybe we should tell your husband so that he will quit worrying” The doctor said.

“What? Don’t you dare do that! Just get this freaking needles off my hand” I yelled as they took the syringes off me.

The doctor signalled the nurses to leave.

“What is this game that you are playing ma’am?” she asked as I smirked.

“It’s a good thing you know that it’s a game…. Am not crazy to try killing myself” I scoffed.

“So why don’t you tell your husband and…..” She began.

“Oh please… Your opinion is not just needed here as a matter of fact I want him to still believe that am in a very critical condition” I said.

“But Ma’am this might tarnish the image of this hospital if it gets leaked” She worried.

“Who will leak it then? This is between you and I right?” I asked as she nodded her head.

“Good…. I hope your stupid nurses won’t say a word too” I added.

“They won’t but I don’t think I can help you with this plan of yours” She shook her head in disagreement as I gulped hard glaring wickedly at her.

“You don’t know the stuff I am made of doctor! I can make your hospital collapse in just a snap….I am Natasha the only daughter and heir to Marshall’s” I bragged as she gasped.

“Please ma’am I beg of you just spare me” She cried.

“Then do the needful….. I promise you no one is ever going to find out unless from you” I assured her as she agreed.

“Alright” She nodded slowly.

“Good! I want you to go out there and tell him that I am in a critical condition and that am emotionally down and needs love and care for the baby to grow healthy…. Make it look real doctor… Don’t fail me” I ordered as the doctor agreed to my terms.

“$10000 for you” I assured her before she left.

Arthur’s Pov:

The emergency room threw open and I rushed straight to the doctor..

“Doctor! Doctor how is the baby?” I asked anxiously.

The doctor breathed heavily as she adjusted her stethoscope.

“Well you see sir her condition is so critical and she almost lost the baby but thank goodness we were able to prevent that from happening” She started.

I breathed deeply in relief.

“Oh really?” I gulped.

“Yes but as for your wife,,,, she’s emotionally down so for your baby to grow healthy in her, she needs your love and care else you might end up losing the baby” The doctor advised.

I sniffed hard.

“Alright doctor…. Can I go see her?” I asked.

“Not yet! We are still taking care of her” The doctor said as I nodded.

And the doctor walked away while I sat heavily on the chair.

Thank God the baby is okay now.

How on earth will I show Natasha love when I truly don’t feel a thing for her.

Aliyah’s Pov:

It was time for bed…. Almost past 8pm and it was raining.

I fed baby Arya with the bottle of milk but she refused to drink the milk.

She has been crying since the evening.

I couldn’t help but sob as she cried too.

You wouldn’t blame me,,, I’ve been been a mother so everything seems so strange and new to me.

Why isn’t she eating?

And why does she keep on crying?

I was so confused…..

She still didn’t stop crying.

“Baby Arya! What’s the matter with you?” I sobbed wishing she could speak.

An idea popped into my head.

*What if she’s sick?*

I rushed to the baby drawer and took out of it a baby temperature checker.

It was among the gift my unknown gifter gave me.

I read the cautions and found out that to check the baby’s temperature I will have to place it under the baby’s arm.

I quickly rushed to my crying baby and did exactly as it was said.

Oh my gosh!

She was burning up with fever.

I gasped…..

Suddenly she started convulsing.
