Episode 26
“What are you talking about sis? What do you mean I can’t be with Leonard? I thought you were trying to pull my legs, to see how I’d react if you objected to my relationship with Leonard, but sis, are you being serious with me? Like are you going to fight against my happiness?” Valerie asked her sister, almost in tears.
Tricia was getting agitated with the scenario playing out. She had been very furious with her sister earlier because she was imagining that valerie was playing games with her, assuming that she liked Leonard.
But from the way the ever playful Valerie was looking, she could tell that she wasn’t playing. And when she thought of it, it would have been better if it was really a stunt she was pulling.
How would she explain to her sister what it meant to be with a man who hadn’t really gotten over his wife? What would be the fate of her sister if Leonard eventually got back with his wife? They weren’t divorced after all
Would her sister be mentally prepared to face the troubles that, that kind of entanglement can bring? And knowing how her sister gets when she likes something, how was she going to get her to forget the idea of being with Leonard?
“Valerie, there are some things about relationships and love affair that you may not understand. So even if I spell them out now, you’ll still not be able to grab the totality of what I’m saying.
I want the best for you dear sister, and that’s why you should let Leonard go at this stage when you can” Tricia told her sister calmly.
“No sis, you don’t want the best for me. You want to keep me perpetually sad and bereft of the joy of togetherness. I don’t want to believe you’re doing this to keep me away from him when you already have your man.
I don’t want to agree with what my head is telling me right now, but sis, I’m not leaving Leonard for you! Please focus on Vince and leave Leonard alone” Valerie told her sister, raising her voice at her for the first time.
“Oh sweet heavens! You think this is about me? You think I’m advising you now to let Leonard go because I somehow want him? How preposterous!” Tricia scowled, getting annoyed by her sister’s accusation.
“Oh please sis, I’m not a baby, I can tell you like Leonard, and I know the reason you’re not fully with him is because of Vince. Why you’re trying to stop me from being with him even when you can’t let Vince go is what I don’t get!” Valerie fired back.
“Watch it Valerie, you’re going overboard now! I never told you I was leaving Vince for any man alive, not Leonard, not twenty of his kind!” an angry Tricia warned her sister, her eyes glistening with tears as she spoke with untold pains
“Oh I get it sis, you want to keep Leonard as a side kick, you’ve always wanted Leonard so much, but you love Vince as well. Is this not selfishness? How can you have a man as cool as Vince and want to keep my Leonard as a side kick?” Valerie accused her sister again, and Tricia lost it.
She h!t her sister hard on the face. “How dare you Valerie? How can you imagine such v!le things in your heart and have the temerity to voice it out in my presence. Have you lost it?” she fumed
“You h!t me sis, you slapped me because I refused to allow you have my man as a side k!ck while you keep yours? And you think I’m going to cower to your intimidation? You think I’m going to run into my shells because you’re bu11ying me? No sis, I’m not leaving Leonard, not for you, not for anyone” Valerie told her sister, while holding the cheek that still burned hot from the slap her sister had given her.
“See what you’ve made me do Valerie. See how you’ve made me lose my cool with your rants and irrational accusations! You need help, and I’m going to get you that help, I won’t stay and watch you fall into a pit. I’m sorry that I h!t you kiddo sis, truly sorry, but you got me too angry. I’ll come back later when you’re ready to listen to the voice of wisdom” she told her sister and turned to walk away.
“Don’t come back sis, don’t come here to lecture me ever, because no matter what you say, no matter the story you cook up eventually, I’ll never let Leonard go. I won’t let anyone take him away from me” Valerie screamed at her sister.
Tricia shook her head as she walked out of the room. She was worried for her sister. She needed to get help, to get her understand her fears about this relationship she was running into with Leonard.
Meanwhile, while the two sisters argued about Leonard, some kilometers away, two villains were talking about Leonard too. But while the sisters were talking about letting him go or not, the other two ladies were planning how to get him trapped.
“Thank you Mary for all the help you’ve given so far. Jeremy was thrilled to find out that I’m Pregnant. According to him, he’d never gotten anyone pregnant all his life, and had even been thinking something was wrong with his reproductive system” Vivian was telling Mary excitedly.
“Wow! That’s good news. I’m so happy for you.” Mary told her, giving her a warm hug.
“No Mary, you haven’t heard the good news yet. He wants me to officially get divorced with Leonard because the wanted to have his first child from his wife. Jeremy wants to marry me and give my child and I the status” Vivian said, giggling childishly.
“It’s a lie! You can’t be serious! You’re so lucky Vivian, see how things are falling in place for you. See how beautiful your life is turning when one would have thought you’d be mourning” Mary told her friend.
“You can say that again! God is really on my side. My mum is going to be shocked to see the turn of events. She’s going to be surprised at how I managed to give my child and I the status we need” Vivian bragged.
“Oh how I wish my case is as sweet as yours. How I wish mine has got a successful and desired ending like yours” Mary lamented.
“You don’t have to sound that way! You know I’m capable of doing what I’ve promised you. I told you I’ll deliver Leonard to you, and those two sisters can’t get in line of my plan, because Leonard is still my husband after all” Vivian consoled her friend.
“I just hope this works. I don’t know why I’ve been this unlucky with Leonard. First it was the ev!l friend of his, then he got married to you and didn’t want me for anything. And when I had schemed so much, when I had worked so hard to get him, at the very verge of getting him all the way, those ev!l sisters came along” Mary said, totally exasperated.
“Don’t worry your pretty self Mary, all you should be thinking about now is how to nurse your pregnancy and how to adjust to living under Leonard as a married woman” Vivian declared.
“One of the major reason I decided to stay with you these past days is because I wanted to be close to the house, because I know when he’s returning, and I know what to do to get him where I want. Believe me Mary, in the next two days, you’d have Leonard’s progenies in you. That I can assure you” Vivian smirked in self confidence
“That sounds relieving. I’m almost blown away by the thought of having Leonard in my arms. But how can you tell he’s not already in the arms of that CEO?” Mary asked
“The CEO is certainly not a problem to you Mary. I can emphatically tell you that she’s too in love with her man.to think of another man. In fact, I’m.80% sure he’s in his room mulling right now” Vivian asserted.
And true to her assumption, Leonard was in his room, only, not mulling over anything, but having Valerie give him a ¢razy lap dance
