“Aaron what are you talking about?, What do you mean Tessa shot Olly?, With which gun?” I asked unbelievably
” Chairwoman, Please believe me, she Shot young master, I submitted the gun to the police already, I suggest the fingerprints on it should be scanned and let’s see who it belongs to” Aaron replied and the police brought out a gun wrapped with an enormous hanky, not even a pistol, it’s a long gun it was handed to one of the doctors and he left for the scanning
“Aaron how can you do this to me?, I thought you were a good person but you turned out to be worse, how can I shoot the love of my life?, I can’t be that heartless, I love Olly with all I have even if our love is restricted, I still love him, how can you tell such an incorrigible lie, please believe me everyone, he’s lying” Tessa defended
I patted her shoulder
” No matter what the results of the scan is, I believe you” I assured
Sam walked closer to Aaron
“Just looking at you I know you’re lying” he said
” The scan result will confirm that” he replied and looked away
How can Aaron change drastically?, Who’s beyond all these drama
I just hope my son is fine, I hope he’s fine
Just then, Nora rushed in
“What happened to Olly?, I heard he was shot?, Just who did it?”
“This ingrate did it” chairman said, pointing at Tessa
” Don’t you say that again!” I said to Alec’s face as Nora went closer to Tessa, she made to pull her hair but Tessa ducked and grabbed Nora’s hand
“Let go of me you bch!, After trying to kill my husband you’re trying to hurt me too!” She whimpered
Tessa let go of her hand and sat on the ground again, wailing uncontrollably
“My son is not your husband!, Get that into your empty skull! ” I snapped at Nora and she rolled eyes at me
The doctor who went for the fingerprint scan came back shortly
“After the scan, we detected that the fingerprints on the gun belongs to miss Tessa Romero” he said and Tessa jumped up in tears
He showed the papers and it’s truly her but I know this can’t be true… Tessa???
“All of you are lying!, Why is this happening? Wae!, I’m innocent and it’s all blatant lies! ” She ranted and stumped her foot on the ground
The doctors came out of the theatre with a sour face
“Sem (doctor), How was the surgery?” I asked
“How’s my son?” Chairman added
” The surgery went well and we were able to remove the bullets but…
“But what?” I interrupted
“He fell into coma right after the surgery” he replied and I sat on the ground
“this is not real!” I yelled as tears gushed out
“It might take long before he wakes up but he’ll Surely wake up” doctor said
“how long?” Chairman asked
” A year or so” doctor replied
” I’m doomed!, A year is too long!” I want to see my lovely Olly talking again!, I want to see my son walking and smiling!!” I yelled and nearly cried out my eyes but it’s useless
Mr Robert rushed in
“Daddy!” Tessa exclaimed and is about to hug her dad when the cops held her
“You’re under arrest for attempted murder of Olly Silverado” the cops announced and held her hands back as she was handcuffed
” Will you please leave her alone?, She knows nothing about this! ” I shouted
” Will you shut up Yvonne!, She tried to kill our son and the fingerprint scan just detected it was her, what else” chairman silenced me but I refused
I drew closer to him
“I know you had all these planned with Nora, and soonest, your secret will be opened! ” I spat in tears
“hey Yvonne, Don’t wet us with spit” Julian spoke for the first time
That infuriated me and I gave her a resounding slap
“How dare you?” Chairman asked
“Who’s daring who?, I’m telling you seriously that you’ll regret this! ”
“appa take care of yourself, dad, dad!!!, Dad!!! ” Tessa yelled as she’s being taken out by the cops
“Tessa!, My daughter is not a killer!, Please have mercy!, Have mercy on us!” Robert pleaded as he knelt in front of chairman
Why do I seem powerless and helpless in this?, Why are they hurting so much?, Why is Olly in coma?, How did they plan all these?, What the hell just happened!!!
“This will be the last time you’ll be seeing your daughter” chairman replied and left Robert kneeling
“Happy crying chairwoman” Nora said before leaving
“I’ll be the next chairwoman, that position doesn’t suit you” Julian said and smiled devilishly, she Left
I helped Robert up
“Chairwoman my daughter is not a killer, they’re taking her to jail”
I stared at this pitiful father and more tears gushed out of my eyes
If only Aaron has not stood witness, I would have been able to help but in the case of a witness, it’ll be hard
Olly this isn’t the right time to land in coma

I was taken to jail immediately on the orders of chairman, they took my clothes and gave me the jail wear
I put it on in tears as I reminisced on the last hours I saw Olly

I banged my fist on the cell gate and cried bitterly, I’ve had a taste of h.ell, bitterness and sorrow gave me more than a bite,

I rubbed the earrings on my ear and cried, Olly is my Everything
I kissed the bracelet and my tears doubled, why is life treating me so badly!!!, Why do I have to land in jail for a crime I never committed???

I’m boiling right now and can’t seem to be able to control my tears, so is the others, we’re all crying as we sat all-over the place
“Who could have done this?” Sona talked

” And Aaron is so unbelievable, how can he stand as witness for what he knows is not true” Becca said
” You know when the dev1l decides to use a person, he’ll do the needful, Nora would have bribed him hugely” teddy replied and sniffed
“my friend is going through a hard time for the crime she didn’t commit!, How can she be treated like that cos of a trashy fingerprint scan?, My friend is not a criminal!, Can’t they just pity her dad?, Tessa is the only one he has and now they took her away from him all because of a crime she didn’t commit” Tamara said as new round of tears fell from her eyes
“hush dear, hush, everything will fall back to place ” Dino consoled
” I don’t think so, for the fact that there’s a witness, the cops will hold unto that, and the fingerprint scan too, I don’t think there’s a way out, and the chairman has many connections with the police, do you think that’s not a good bonus for him?, I’m just full of pity for Tessa, she has suffered enough than to go through this” Garrett replied
” Jung Nora, no, bitch Nora!, She’s such a dev1l!, I wish I can just str@ngle her!, I wish I can give Aaron’s body to the fishes, behead the chairman, And Julian, I want to twist her neck!, I’m sorry Becca if you think I’m talking ill of your mum but it’s what I really wanna do!” Loretta snapped
” I want to do more than that, like I want to kill my mum and Be the one to direct her to hell myself” Becca replied
” I just wish Olly hadn’t landed in coma, I wish he hadn’t, Tessa won’t be in this mess” I lamented
” So what do we do?” Dino asked

“I want to see my daughter” I said to the cops in duty as I got to the station
” Not allowed” he replied
“What are you talking about?, How can you arrest her and forbid me from seeing my daughter?”
“it’s the chairman’s order”
” What!, Are you joking right now?, I want to see my daughter!”
” Throw out this man” he ordered and two constables came, they dragged me out of the station and I cried bitterly

“Has Tessa unni really been arrested?, She didn’t do it right?, Why would she be arrested then?’ Nicky asked as I paced round the living room, thinking of what to do
“Tessa is innocent but some certain set of people are behind this including the chairman”
” You mean dad!”.
” He’s even their leader”
” Why is he doing this?*
“Coz he doesn’t want your brother to be with Tessa”
“And Oppa is in coma, I really miss him already, I hope he wakes up soon” she replied and tried to fight back her tears but it poured
I wiped them and hugged her
I don’t even know what to do, chairman is way more powerful than I am

“Jerome you fked up big time!, I asked to shoot Tessa but you shot Olly!, I never asked you to do that!* I yelled as we got back home
“Calm down Nora, it was a mistake cos Olly blocked her immediately he saw the light, and I’ve already shot”
” Cut the crap!, Are you this unprofessional?, Jerome you disappointed me”
” But you don’t love him right?”
” Does that matter?, I’ll have to wait for the time he wakes up to meet up with my plans, the doctor said it might take a year and I’m always quick to run out of patience”

” So if I haven’t searched for Aaron’s number and call him, what would have happened now?, If I haven’t bribed Aaron heavily do you think we’ll be here?”
” But how did you do the fingerprint scan?”
“that hospital is owned by my godfather, immediately I heard Olly was rushed there, while bribing Aaron, I gave him the gun which has no fingerprints at all and told him to meet with chairman and tell him the lies, then I called the hospital and told my godfather who’s the chief doctor and gave him all the information about Tessa, he framed the results, case closed” I replied
” Bravo!” He exclaimed
My phone rang, it’s Julian…

?? You got it, you did a good job today, you deserve some accolades
?? I know right?, Why don’t you talk to chairman about Yvonne?, She should be forced to sign over NYO, that’s what’s giving her the guts to slap you, if NYO conglomerates is taken from her, you’ll automatically become the next chairwoman… cheers to that

“Hi honey” I hollered as I entered chairman’s office

“Thanks…I have something to discuss with you”

” Isn’t it high time I become the chairwoman?, You divorced Yvonne already and she’s still the chairwoman directing NYO,I can be the chairwoman too you know”
” It’s like that because we started it together and NYO is her share of the company”
” Then you can just force her to sign it over, just send some thugs and they’ll get any body weakening perfume that’ll make Yvonne do whatever they say, she’ll sign it definitely”
“Now that I think of it, it’s great, she should pay for slapping you, I’ll do what you suggested, NYO should be taken away from her, she should be relieved as the chairwoman” chairman said and my lips curled into a smug little smile as I squinted discreetly before hugging him
