Episode 2
After all, raising a child was enough hard work already but for the help of Lara’s younger sister Lola who was currently staying with them, raising Jojo as adorable as she was would have been a nightmare. Lola was currently
an undergraduate at the state university; Lara who was currently funding her education insisted that she attended lectures from home especially because she needed to keep a close eye on her and partly so that she could help
take care of Jojo. Even though both were sisters, they were complete opposites of each
other, Lara was calm, focused and homely, she enjoyed spending time with her family and hardly attended any social functions except it was very necessary. Lola on the other hand was wild, she was a party animal who was never absent from the club every other Friday night. Lara had tried her best to change her
but all her efforts had failed. She wore skimpy clothes to school and around the house and would get very furious anytime she was scolded. Jeff had complained severally about her indecent dressing and wild behaviour but any attempt to correct her always led to a
fight. He only tolerated her because she was
Lara’s only sister and sibling and being orphans, they had no other family besides themselves. Despite her wild nature, she was
gentle and caring when it came to looking after Jojo, that was the only thing that gave Lara and Jeff some relief. In Lara’s opinion, all the wild behaviours Lola had been exhibiting were just
acts of rebellion because she couldn’t always
have things her way like she was used to since their parents died. Lara never stopped blaming their late parents for spoiling her now that they were gone, she was the one that had to deal with Lola’s misbehaviours. What Jeff and Lara didn’t know was that apart from her many vices, Lola was also in a serious relationship with a deadly cultist Deji popularly known as
DJ on campus. He was the head of one of the most dangerous cult groups and was
famous for his numerous conquests in various clashes with members of other cult groups. As you might have already guessed, he was very violent; though he had a very soft spot for Lola, but when he was mad at her he would pick the nearest object to him throwing it at her even if it was a brick, he would beat her black and blue at other times yet she would always go back to him, no one could comprehend their relationship and none of Lola’s friends could
interfere, they could only watch in silence
and pray that one day he wouldn’t kill her in anger and only realise when it was too late.
Lara on the other hand enjoyed her fairytale marriage with Jeff, everything was going blissfully until one day, everything changed for the worse, her once fairytale marriage became a horrible nightmare and it all happened in the twinkle of an eye……
