MARRIED TO A STRANGER EPISODES 27 – 32

Episode 32

But I haven’t done anything wrong” Franklin argued struggling to free himself from the inspector’s grip”, you’ll explain that to my boss when you get to the station” the inspector replied forcefully placing his hands in handcuffs, “it’s in your best interest not to resist arrest” he warned as Franklin tried his best to wriggle himself free. After much struggle, they successfully arrested Franklin and took him to the police station, one of the inspectors briefed the DPO about all their discoveries for the day, he seemed shocked at their findings, though it wasn’t the first time he had witnessed friend turning against friend, he had even seen siblings related by blood turn against each other. “Where is the young man?” The DPO asked, “I’d like to speak with him myself” , “he’s in the interrogation room” one of the inspectors replied, “although judging from what I’ve been told, I doubt he’s responsible for the murder” the DPO said, “yes there’s that possibility sir, but still, we can’t be too sure he knows nothing about it, who knows? He might have hired someone else to do it, maybe the person hadn’t informed him yet for whatever reason.” “You have a point there” the DPO replied, “let me speak with him first, I’ll conclude on what to do with him afterwards” he said getting up from behind his desk and walking towards the door with the inspector following behind.

It usually took him a little longer than usual to move about because he had a major gait problem, he walked with a limp; one of his legs had been damaged by the polio disease he had as a child.

Polio is a contagious viral illness that is so. severe that it could cause paralysis, difficulty breathing and even death. It is caused by polio virus which can be found in the faeces of an infected person and can spread to others through poor hygienic practices, for example not washing hands after using the toilet and then going ahead to cook food for others. etc, it is a highly contagious virus that can be transmitted through food and water or direct contact with an infected person. Thankfully, there is a polio vaccine that prevents against it which can be given to new born babies from the age of two months and adults alike. Practicing good hygiene also helps to prevent its spread.

“So why did you do it?” He asked without wasting anytime when he got to the interrogation room, it was a small dark room with no windows and a little light bulb hanging from the ceiling. Franklin was sitting on a chair in front of a small table where he placed both his hands which were still handcuffed, he looked very sober, staring at the floor as they walked in,“I know I wanted Jeff killed” he had been thinking to himself before the inspectors came in to interrupt his thoughts, “but I didn’t do it!” He said to himself, “sniper totally denied knowing anything about the murder and he sounded sincere.” “Oh no!” He thought when he heard the door open and raised his head to see the three policemen walking in, “How do I prove to these people that I know nothing about his murder?”, “what if I can’t prove my innocence and I would be sentenced to many years in prison? Or worse still a death sentence?” he thought looking horrified, “No!No!no!” I can’t let this happen he thought to himself shaking his head.
