Sophia contemplated over her decision. But shoving all other thoughts aside, she gathered her courage and tiptoed back to the guest room where her husband and Eva were sleeping.
Guilt and pity is all she feels towards Eva. And now it has to stop. Because of her husband’s cowardness, she can’t let an innocent girl suffer. It’s not fair.
As soon as she pulled out the basic phone from Adrian’s pocket, she rushed back helding her breath.
Sighing when she came back to her room, she took out her phone and searched for King&Co. In the search result, she found office landline number and left no time in dialling.
Her heart was thumping hard and harder because of nervousness.
“King&Co. Stella this side. How may I help you?”, A lady’s voice, which sounded little bit stressed and restrained was heard through other side.
“Hi, can I talk to Mr. King?”
“What’s the purpose?”
“It’s an emergency”, Sophia gulped. Her hands sweating.
“I am sorry-”
“Please. Please let me talk to him. It’s really an emergency”, Sophia pleaded.
“Give me a minute”, Stella said and after few seconds she told Sophia that now she is on the line.
“He-hello?”, Sophia stuttered.
“Who is this?”, A manly voice said. Her veins tensed at an intimidating voice.
“Umm…. Hi, my name is Sophia Vasiliev. I called to inform you about your wife.”, She spoke, carefully choosing her words to sound more trustworthy.
“Eva?”, Aaron whispered. His voice heavy with emotions. Sophia sensed the pain and sadness in his voice.
“Uhh, yeah. She is right now here.”, Sophia said. Her breath hitched when she heard a silent sob from other side.
“Wh-where? Pl-please tell me. Please”, Aaron pleaded.
“I will send you the address. But please don’t come right now. Can you come in morning?”, Sophia asked while biting her lips, trying to stop her tears, as she could still feel how hard Aaron is trying to hold himself back.
“Yeah. Sure.”, Aaron whispered.
“Thanks. And please don’t tell anyone that I called you. Please I beg you”
“Don’t worry. I won’t.”
“I will send you the address”, Sophia mumbled, before she could cut the call she heard him whispering thank you.
Immediately she sent him address. After switching off the device, she silently went back inside guestroom and kept the phone back in her husband’s trouser.
“Sorry”, she whispered before leaving the room.
Adrian opened his eyes as soon as she left. Turning, his eyes fell on Eva’s sleeping form. He smiled.
“I am proud of you”, he muttered under his breath, remembering his wife’s beautiful face.

“Stella, tell Mr. Fredrick to get my jet ready. I am leaving for Moscow right now”, Aaron hastily said before getting his blazer and rushing out of his office. Adam followed him, and both entered elevator.
“I will handle everything here. You just focus on getting Eva back”, Adam smiled rubbing Aaron’s arm. He nodded while smiling through watered eyes.
Something heavy lift off Adam’s chest seeing his bestfriend smiling. After a month he was seeing that smile and he couldn’t thank god enough.
Aaron left towards airport while Adam left towards Chloe’s office.
Though happiness is never permanent, the smile it brings on our faces is worth waiting for.

Finally after 10 hours and 30 minutes flight, Aaron was breathing same air as Eva. His happiness knew no bounds. He couldn’t stop his lips from lifting up in smile. As he walked out, his steps faster and faster with each passing seconds. Every female turned to look at him twice. The man was walking charisma, his steps confident, muscular body flexing with each move, and a swooning smile intact on his face.
He sat inside Mercedes which Stella had prepared beforehand for his luxury. Telling the driver address, he told him to drive as fast as he could.
His feets were tapping in excitement. Heart was palpating in nervousness. Hands were shivering and mind was imagining countless scenarios.

“Diana?”, Sophia called out as soon as she entered kitchen.
Eva looked up with raised eyebrows. “Yes?”
“I will miss you”, she smiled while Eva’s face contorted in confusion.
“Why? Am I again being sold somewhere?”, Eva said bitterly before concentrating back on pancakes. Sophia scoffed.
“No. But you will see!”, She gushed before leaving kitchen quite enthusiastically.
“Is she okay?”, Anna muttered, her eyes lingering on doorstep in concern.
“God knows”, Eva whispered.
They arranged dining table and soon everyone was seated for breakfast. Eva served and then stood back.
“Prepare me another tea. This has more sugar than necessary”, Mr. Vasiliev said sliding the tea cup aside. Eva nodded before going back to the kitchen.
“Sir?”, A guard called out gaining everyone’s attention.
“What happened?”
“Some Aaron King is here to meet you”, he said while staring at his feet, scared of his boss.
Mr. Vasiliev frowned while Sophia gulped. She was debating over whether to dance in happiness or cower away somewhere in fear.
“Aaron King? The businessman?”, Adrian nodded over his dad’s question.
“Why is he here? Send him in”, he ordered to guard. He was excited. Such big businessman came to meet him at his house, definitely he is here to offer some business venture.
Aaron dashed inside, his apprehensive eyes roaming around in search of one person. Everyone immediately stood up while Mr. Vasiliev took the initiative to come further.
“Mr. King, it’s a pleasure to have you. How may I help you?”, He spoke trying to cover his happiness and somewhat greediness.
“Diana?”, Sophia called out looking over towards kitchen. She knew whom Aaron’s eyes were searching for.
“Mr. King? Can I as-“, Mr. Vasiliev was cut off by the sound of broken glass. Annoyed, he turn to look at frozen Eva whose eyes were wide and lips were quivering.
Eva couldn’t believe her eyes. Is this really happening? Is Aaron really standing infront of her within five feet distance?
Aaron’s heart bloomed in happiness. The lonliness long forgotten.
Both stared at eachother, letting their eyes talk. She forwarded her arms, wanting him to embrace her. He left no time to walk towards her and pull her in his arms. Eva broke out in loud sobs. The salty tears wetting his grey shirt. The emptiness both felt when they were apart was now filled with their togetherness.
The one person his dream kept repeating was now in his arms, filling the void space. As his body demanded her more close, he tightened his hold around her.
“I missed you!”, She whispered before pulling herself out so she could look at his face. Cupping his cheeks, her eyes lovingly stayed on him.
The truth of her life was right infront her. She smiled through her tears. Her fingers trailed on his face, feeling his every inch. Assuring her mind that he is really here.
Tiptoeing she k!ssed his nose. Then his forehead, then his cheeks and lastly his lips. “I can’t believe. You are really here”, she spoke while he nodded. Tears running down their eyes.
“What is happening here?”, Mr. Vasiliev spoke grimacingly, Eva froze on her place. She quickly hided herself in Aaron’s arms.
Sensing her fear, Aaron shot a glare at the old man who then gulped in fear.
“The woman you are treating as a fucking maid is my wife!”, Aaron gritted out. Mr. Vasiliev gasped, his eyes nearly bulging out of their socket. “A piece of advice to you old man, stay out of my way else it will take just few minutes for me to crush you down”, he threatened menacingly in low voice.
“Get her passport and everything else!”, He said turning towards Anna who scurried out as fast as she can. After getting Eva’s stuff she came back, and handed it to Daniel who stood beside Aaron.
He carried Eva in bridal style, she immediately nuzzled her face in his neck, trying to hide herself as much as she can. Before leaving, he sent a thankful smile towards Sophia who gave him secretly a thumbs up.
Mom would be so proud of me , she thought remembering her late mom. Whom she never made proud but now that she had chance, she did.
“This is not over!”, He warned Mr. Vasiliev who was busy staring at his feet.
Coming out, he first made Eva sit in backseat who clutched his shirt in fear of losing him again. “I am here”, he smiled before settling himself down beside her. She immediately crawled up on his lap, tightening her arms around him, resting her head on his chest.
Aaron showed the text address of hotel which Stella sent. The driver nodded in agreement before turning and reviving engine.
Touch was all needed for both of them to comfort each other. No words were exchanged and they loved it that way. Eva’s hands kept roaming around his shoulder and arm, feeling him contradicting under her touch. She wanted to confirm herself, prove herself that this is not a dream but a reality.
Beautiful reality.
They reached hotel in no time. Aaron helped Eva to get down. She immediately looped her arm around his forearm tightly.
“Suite booked under Aaron King”, he said to the receptionist who nodded before checking the registration on her computer.
“Here. Enjoy your stay”, she said after handing him card key. Aaron nodded and told Daniel to get his room key before walking towards elevator.
As they waited until elevator ascended up and opened, Aaron kept doing affectionate gestures for Eva to make her feel safe and loved.
Once they were inside, he took his suitcase from bellboy and closed door. Turning he saw Eva admiring the room.
“How’s it?”, He asked, she nodded appreciatively with smile.
“I will get fresh, okay?”, Aaron said, she nodded and went towards balcony.
He took out white t-shirt and faded blue ripped jeans from his suitcase before entering bathroom.
After fifteen minutes when he came out, his eyes roamed around and found her still standing in balcony.
“Eva?”
No response.
“Eva?”, He called out little loudly incase she didn’t heard but still no response.
“Diana?”, With fear encrypted on his mind, he dared to call her with the name she was living with since one month, and she turned.
When realisation dawned upon her, her eyes widened and tears pooled in them. Regretting his stupidity, Aaron quickly went by her side.
“I am scared, Aaron. I don’t want to lose my identity”, she weeped inside his arms, he rubbed her back to slow down her sobs.
“Hey, look at me. You are Eva Collins King, okay? And no one is gonna change that!”, He said sternly to prove his point, she nodded while wiping tears with the back of her palm.
“C’mon, let’s go out. I am hungry. Wanna have brunch?”, He smiled goofily, she chuckled before nodding.

She is finally with me. But I am surprised at how much she had paled and grown thinner. She looks malnourished.
My poor baby. I will be sure to destroy that old man! Fucking asshole!
“Go get changed”, I said handing her bag in her hand. She went inside bathroom.
To invest my time somewhere else until she comes, I took out my cellphone and called Adam.
“Hey dude! You got her?
Is she there now? Chloe and Liza wants to talk with her. Can you video call? W-”
“Calm down. Calm down guys!”, I chuckled as I could hear screams of Chloe and Liza from background. “She is in the bathroom right now. And I will video call you tonight. Okay?”
“Why?”, The trio from other side groaned, I snickered.
“Because we need more couple time!”, I deadpanned and heard them sigh. “I will be sure to call you tonight”, I said before bidding goodbye and hanging up.
The bathroom’s door unlocked and I looked up only to have my jaw dropping as she came out wearing the most revealing dress I have ever seen.
“What the heck are you wearing, Eva!”, She flinched at my voice and I cursed myself for being so harsh. “I mean, that’s so short. Go wear something else, honey”, I said softly.
“I don’t have anything else to wear”, she whispered. My hands balled in fist. Gulping down my inflaming rage that I felt towards Xavier and Vasiliev, I took a deep breath.
“Give me five minutes, okay?”, I said before taking my wallet and leaving the suite.
Once I came down, I asked for women’s boutique nearby. A localist helped me with directions.
As I entered in, a sales lady came for my help. I told her Eva’s measurements and she handed me one by one different types of dresses.
After paying, I came back. Once I entered our suite, I found her watching a random show on television.
“Here. Change into one of this”, I said gently smiling at her. Her eyes twinkled seeing so many dresses, digging through them, she took out a baby pink jumpsuit and went in.
“Aaron, how do I look?”, She smiled and I was blown away. This was the first time she smiled so happily ever since we met. Else either she is crying or smiling while crying.
“Perfect!”, I gave two thumbs up, she chuckled.
“Let’s go!”, Grabbing her wrist, I dragged her out.
We decided to go out for breakfast. She pointed out a cute cafe right across the street, obliging with her demand we went there.
“What would you like to have?”, A waitress asked us.
“Butterbrots, cottage cheese pancakes and one latte!”, Eva said while nodding to herself, her eyes concentrated on menu card.
“Sure. What about you sir?”
“Same”, I said and she nodded before scribbling it down on her notepad and leaving.
“So? Where should we go after this?”, I said rubbing my palms together.
“Ummm….. Red square! I want to see it! Sophia said, it’s really very beautiful”, she smiled showing her white pearly teeth. I chuckled at her excitement. Her eyes were shining and glimmering in an enchanting way.
“Your wish is my command!”, I said dramatically bowing before her. She giggled before slapping my hand playfully.
“Here’s your order”, the waitress smiled while placing our order on table. “Enjoy”, she said before walking away.
“Eat and then we will talk”, I said while sliding four pancakes two butterbrots on her plate. She nodded before digging in.
After having breakfast and paying, we left and sat inside car. “To the red square”, I said to the driver.
Eva’s hand was enveloped in mine but her eyes were admiring the view outside. She kept pointing out the monuments and landmarks that were amusing to her.
“Look at that!”, She said, her finger pointing towards a statue, I smiled while looking at it.
Once we reached Red Square, Eva dragged me out. She kept twirling and running around, pointing out this and that.
When I found her busy in clicking pictures with my phone, I went to throw my coke can in dustbin.
“Aaron! Why did you left me there all alone!”, She screeched accusingly after forcing me to look at her.
“No Little Warrior, I just came here to throw this empty can. I am sorry”, I said wiping her fresh tears.
“I was so scared.”, She sniffled.
“I am sorry. Let’s go and click some more pictures. C’mon”, I tugged on her hand and dragged her back.
After spending two hours there, it was almost two in afternoon. As Eva felt hungry, we went to have lunch.
“Let’s go now”, I said wiping the corner of my mouth with napkin before I asked for bill.
“Where?”, She gushed looking at me with hopeful eyes.
“Hotel”, I said in duh tone and her face fell.
“Why?”
“We have to leave for New York at nine tonight. C’mon, let’s go!”, I said standing up, she pouted in dismay but nonetheless stood up and walked out. Not to forget, keeping an eye on me that I am in close proximity with her.
When we reached hotel, she huffed. I sighed in defeat. “Is there any good place around here, where we could spend time until night?”, I asked driver.
“There’s one amusement park within fifteen minutes distance. Would you like to go there, sir?”, He asked and I saw Eva hiding her smile. I nodded.
“Happy?”, She bobbed her head up down enthusiastically.
I got two tickets and then she literally pulled me inside. Her eyes roaming around in sheer excitement.
“Lets go on that pendulum type ride!”, She spoke while pointing towards a ride. I nodded and we went to stand in queue.
After fifteen minutes, “That was great!”, She chirped while I nodded, a clot of uneasiness forming in my stomach.
“Now rollercoaster!”, My eyes widened and I immediately took a seat on nearby bench.
“You go, I will wait for you here”, I said pushing her towards queue.
“Why? Come with me. Without you it’s no fun”, she said shooking her head.
“I will wait for you here. You go and enjoy”, I said giving her an encouraging nod.
“You are scared, aren’t you?”, She smirked. I blinked.
“Wha- No! I am not!”, I lied.
“You are! Look at how much you are sweating!”, She said wiping my forehead.
“It’s because of sun! God! It’s so hot here!”, I said prying her hands off. She chuckled.
“Sun? Aaron, it’s close to six.”, She said sitting beside me.
“So?”
“Nothing. You are just scared.”
“I am not!”, I denied.
“You are”
“I am not!”
“You-”
“No, I am not!”
“Then prove it”, She said shrugging her shoulders.
“Fine!”, I gritted out and left to stand in queue. She followed after fist bumping in air.
After the horrible experience of that shitty ride, I sat down on the bench from where I decided to go in that hell.
“You look pale”, she commented after eyeing me for few seconds.
“Shut up!”
“Just admit it. You are scared”, she said glancing around as I glared at her.
“I am not!”, I said through my clenched jaw.
“You are.”
“I am no-”
“Fine. Let’s have another round. What say?”, She smirked.
“I am scared”, she burst out laughing. The passers-by eyed my weird creature who kept laughing unworried of her surrounding.
We came back after enjoying sunset in Ferris wheel. After dinner we retired to our hotel suite.
“You enjoyed?”, I asked while back hugging her. She nodded before turning in my embrace, her eyes glistening with unshed tears.
“Why are you crying?”
“I don’t know.”, She chuckled after rubbing her eyes to get the rid of tears.
“Can I k!ss you?”, I asked, worried if she is okay with sudden physical intimacy.
“Please do”, she whispered and that was all needed for me to capture her lips with mine.
D@mn! How much I missed these soft lips. Her hands wrapped around my neck pulling me closer. I bit down on her bottom lip slightly, she moaned in response.
“I love you”, I mumbled in between k!ss.
“I love you too”, she replied the words I yearned to hear since one month!
