Brittany froze on the spot…
“Marijuana? What do you mean? Thats not my suitcase” Brittany said, already trembling.
“Then who suitcase is this? My mom’s?! You brought it here” The security man fired.
“Please follow us to the police station” The other one said calmly.
Brittany looked so confused… What’s going on?!
They handcuffed her and took her away, carrying her bag along. People looked at her as she was taken away. Some even began making videos and pictures.
In no time, it was already trending online with different rumors about it..

“…And like that we can make a lot of sales and revenue by shipping our cargo to USA” Oliver concluded
His workers clapped for him at the beautiful presentation he just did. His phone suddenly began ringing.
“Excuse me..” He muttered and left the meeting room.
“Hailey?” He said she he picked.
“Oliver! Your daughter is failure!! How can she tarnish our reputation like that” Hailey yelled through the phone..
“What do you mean?” Oliver said, utterly confused.
“You haven’t seen the news have you?” Hailey said.
Oliver just hung up and went to check the news. Pain gripped him on the chest at what he saw.
Brittany Rodriguez: Arrested at Mexico’s airport.
He immediately ran out of the area.
Hailey brought down her phones from her cheek when Oliver hung. She smirked, playing with her phone.
“Mom! Did you see the news!?” Valerie rushed in.
Hailey immediately pretended to be shocked too as she nodded.
“Yes… How could she? I thought I raised her well” Hailey said.
“I don’t want to believe this mom… No” Valerie said and ran out of the house.
“Val!! Baby!!”

“I’ve spent more than an hour with you. Need to be going,,, have a press conference to attend to right now” Nick said and stood up.
He saw people murmuring while looking at their phone and that prompted him to bring out his phone.
The first notification that popped up was Brittany’s arrest.
“Wow..” Nick muttered.
“What?” Kenneth said and came closer to see.
“What?! Brittany got arrested” Kenneth exclaimed.
“You know her?” Nick asked.
“Of course… We sometimes did collaboration few years back” Kenneth said.
“That’s my brother’s fiancé” Nick muttered.
“I know… Why is she being arrested?” Kenneth asked and Nick just shrugged.
Kenneth pinched his brows, looking worried..

POLICE STATION**
“On the CCTV footage, we see you entering the airport station with this suitcase till you got to the security guard caught you” The cop interrogating Brittany said.
“Of course I entered the area with the suitcase but trust me I didn’t have any idea of how those things got in my bag.” Brittany said.
“You know you’re not making sense right now right?” The cop said sternly…
“If you have no idea, then who would have placed them in your suitcase.. Who?!”
“I… I don’t know” Brittany looked down.. Her hands were handcuffed.
The cop looked at her for awhile before walking out of the interrogation room.
A tear dropped down Brittany’s eyes. She was so scared right now, who could have done this to her?

“Britt?!” Oliver ran in the police station breathing heavily.
He held a cop’s shoulder.
“Where’s my daughter!!” He asked.
“At the interrogation room sir” He replied.
He released him and began searching for where that room could be and that’s when he saw Brittany coming out of the room with her hands handcuffed and a cop pushing her
“Britt!!” Oliver exclaimed.
“Dad!!” Brittany finally teared up and ran to Oliver’s embrace.
“Dad!! I swear, those narcotics aren’t mine… I can’t do such things dad!!” Brittany cried while shaking her head.
“I believe you my daughter… I believe you” Oliver kissed her hair.
“Britt!” Valerie ran to them
Hailey was behind her too..
“Val…” Brittany whispered.
Valerie made to go to her but Hailey held her back by the wrist.
“I never knew you can stoop this low Brittany” Hailey said, still holding Valerie back.
“No, I didn’t do it mother” Brittany said.
“Don’t call me that ever again!!” Hailey snapped.
“We need to take her away now” The cop interrupted them.
With a heavy heart, Oliver released her. The cop took her away as she looked back at them in tears…
Oliver turned and glared at Hailey before storming out of the area.
“Dad!” Valerie went after him.
Hailey just smirked on her spot…
“I’ve been patient for quite long.. Let the game begin” She smirked and left too.

HAYES VILLA**
“What!! You kept seeing that wretched girl despite my order!!” Xavier yelled at Aidan.
Aidan just stayes quiet…
“Just look at it!! You jeopardize my plans!! My plans of being richer!!” Xavier yelled at the top of his voice.
“Your plans dad!! Your plans…not mine.. Since I was in college you knew I was in love with Sandy and we were dating but you forced me to break up with her and go after Brittany… All that because of your selfish interest of gaining more wealth by getting me married to one of the richest family in Mexico” Aidan snapped.
“How dare you raise your voice on me” Xavier growled…
“I’m just tired of pretending… I’m tired!! I want to be happy!!” Aidan said.
“Beside it’s trending in all news that Brittany got arrested.. That’ll surely tarnish her reputation so no need of me getting married to her. I can finally be happy with Sandy” Aidan smiled.
“What? Arrested!!”

THE WHITE HOUSE**
“Babe!!” Ruby smiled and kissed Kenneth on the lips.
“You came” Kenneth smiled..
“Yeah, I missed you so much” Ruby pouted and hugged him.
“Me too” Kenneth said and kssed her hair.
“I saw the news about Brittany Rodriguez… I’m sure Valerie must be sad right now, too bad I didn’t see her when I went to their house” Ruby pouted.
“It’s okay… If Brittany is innocent then she’ll be proven such okay?” Kenneth cupped her cheek.
Ruby nodded and smile before holding hands with him, they went in to his room.
“Where’s your dad and mom? Wanna say hi, it’s been long I’ve seen him” Ruby said.
“He’ll be back soon” Kenneth replied.
“Cool.. Hope you know I’ll sleep over” Ruby said.
“Like I said I’ll let you leave at this hour of the night” Kenneth smiled and kssed her forehead.

POLICE STATION**
In one of the prison cells in the station Brittany sat down on the floor, hugging her knees tightly.
There was no bed, no blanket only a bucket at the corner of the cell and the night was a cold one. Completely different from the life she use to live.
Brittany just stared at a particular corner of the cell room, lost in thoughts.
So much has happened just today… So much that she doesn’t even know what to feel again.
The cops told her that tomorrow a procedure will be taking place tomorrow for her case and just the thought of it sent shivers down her spine.
She laid down on the cold floor and hugged her body tightly, closing her eyes as sleep took over.

NEXT MORNING**
The noise which was being made on her cell bars woke up
Brittany opened her eyes and sat up. Her whole body was aching like cràzy right now.
“Time to head to the court little Missy” The female cop said.
Brittany stood up from the floor as the female cop opened the cell for her.
She got out and they handcuffed her before leaving the police station with her…
