Chapter 46
A slow music began playing and those interested to dance walked to the dance floor.
“Mind if we dance?” The guy who left with Savannah said.
She forced a smile and nodded. She only used him to get away from Kenneth but he’s getting too clingy.
They walked to the dance floor and he held her waist while she placed her hand on his chest. They began swaying side to side.
Kenneth just stared at them from where he was sitting. His eyes was particularly focused on the guy’s hand on Savannah’s waist.
He sighed and looked away and it wasn’t up to 2 minutes before he looked back at them.
“Babe!” Ruby exclaimed and sat on his thigh, blocking his vision.
“Let’s dance” Ruby said.
“Ruby we need to talk.” Kenneth said.
“That’ll be later. Come!, let’s go!” Ruby pecked his lips and pulled him up.
They both went to the dance floor.
Savannah looked their way and sadly looked back to her dance partner.

“Stop marching my foot!” Evan frowned.
“No, I didn’t!” Ashley denied.
“You did.. You could have just said you don’t know how to dance rather than smashing my foot with your elephant foot” Evan said.
Ashley stepped really hard on his foot.
“Ouch…” Evan winced.
“Now I did it intentionally” Ashley smirked.
He pulled her closer that she crashed on his chest..
“You’ll pay for this” He smirked.
Ashley smirked and stuck out her tongue. They kept dancing while glaring at each other. Ashley suddenly tripped on her long gown.
“Ahh!” She shrieked when she began falling but Evan caught her by the waist and pulled her up.
She crashed back on his chest and looked up at Evan with parted lips. Evan’s throat blopped up and down as he gazed at her lips, he licked his lips too..
“Why are you staring at me that way? Let me go” Ashley frowned.
He got back to his senses and released her then suddenly left to who knows where.
“What’s wrong with him” Ashley wondered.

“Won’t you stop frowning like that?” Nicholas broke the silence.
“I’m not frowning” Brittany said.
“I can see in your eyes that you wanna murder me” Nicholas said.
“Good thing you know” Brittany said and Nicholas chuckled.
“I prefer this side of you. Pretending to be innocent and pure doesn’t suits you” Nicholas said.
“And now it’s time to switch partners. Each and everyone of you should switch partners with the couples next to you for 10 minutes” The MC said on the mic.
“See you in 10 minutes” Nicholas winked and turned around then grabbed another lady.
He frowned when he saw Sandy in front of him..

“Why him?” Savannah said inwardly.
She ended up with Kenneth. Ruby could be seen dancing with Savannah’s partner while glaring at Savannah.
Savannah just looked down as they danced in silence..
“Can we now talk?” Kenneth asked.
“No”
“What if it’s important” Kenneth said.
“Then it will be too late then” Savannah said simply.
Kenneth chuckled and looked back at her.
“You look really beautiful tonight” Kenneth said and Savannah looked at him before looking away..
“I’m sorry” Kenneth said.
“For?”
“You said I shouldn’t tell you” Kenneth shrugged and Savannah rolled her eyes.
Kenneth smiled.

Since Nicholas ended up with Sandy, Brittany ended up with Aidan.
They danced in silence with both parties staring at each other. Well Brittany was literally glaring at him..
All the memories they shared together came back to her. How he treated her like a queen, how he promised her heaven on earth, their engagement together, that fateful day where she caught him with Sandy, the happy look on his face when she was sentenced to jail, how they came to prison to mock at her.
All that brought tears to her eyes but she blinked it back..
“Permit me to say you look really beautiful miss” Aidan broke the silence.
Brittany smiled.
“Yunno it’s not good to drool at other ladies when you have a girlfriend. I saw you gawking over me earlier” She said.
Aidan’s eyes widened when he heard her voice.
“You…” He said in surprise.
Brittany placed her hand on his chest and leaned close to his ears.
“Who else should it be? Happy birthday by the way..” She whispered and released him then left.
The music was even over and everybody was going back to their seats.
He watched as Brittany went back to Nicholas..
“Time for the celebrant to make his speech” The MC said and people began clapping as the lights shun on Aidan.
He quickly covered up with a smile and walked gallantly to the stage as they clapped for him.
Sandy was standing there, clapping for him too. They both kssed briefly before he faced the crowd and took the mic.
“Good evening ladies and gentlemen. First of all I’ll like to thank you all for coming in your numbers. Thanks for the presents and all the gifts you brought for me… May we all live long and have a lot of birthdays and merry moments to celebrate together” Aidan concluded and they all clapped for him.
Sandy made her own speech too and they left the stage to their seats.
Other people who had their speech to make like Xavier, Ruby, Valerie.. They all made their speech
(PS: Zayne didn’t come)
Brittany suddenly stood up from her seat and Nicholas smirked as she walked to the stage. Aidan immediately felt uncomfortable as she gracefully climbed the stage.
The claps slowly díed down and she took the microphone then slowly removed her mask.
Everybody gasped loudly as they saw her face..
? Brittany Rodriguez?
? It’s Brittany Rodriguez!! I should have known, her beauty is second to known
? What is she doing here??
? Aidan is her ex fiance remember?
“Hello everyone! It’s me Brittany Rodriguez… So if we are all gathered is to celebrate Aidan’s 27th birthday. We are all grateful that he’s alive to witness this day but I,,, I’m grateful that I got separated from a despicable monster like him..” Brittany said and smiled.
The cameras were all directed to her, videoing her live.
“Yeah, I’m thankful for that. Hasn’t anyone of you ever asked yourself what happened about our relationship? Well first of all it’s no surprise to you all that I’m an ex convict but before that… Can you guess what happened? So, on the very day I was yunno accused i went to visit my ‘fiance’ and can you guess what I saw? I saw him on bed having sx with my so called best friend Sandy Garrett.
Please shine some light over there so that we can see the power couple” Brittany said and light was shun on Aidan and Sandy who were sitting together.
“So that’s just the summary of how their relationship came to existence. My ex fiance, cheating on me with my best friend.. Wow, isn’t it wonderful” Brittany said sarcastically.
“So this short story is just to tell you all a lesson. Know the people you date because some of you guys will just date nonsense all in the name of love” Brittany said.
“That’s all what I have to say. Enjoy the party everyone!” Brittany smiled and went down stage.
Nicholas began clapping loudly together with Savannah, Ashley, Evan and some other who remained Brittany’s fans.
People began murmuring as they stared at Aidan and Sandy in disgust.
? Let’s get out here… This party is nonsense
? Gosh! Aidan disgusts me.
? Guilty or not.. I feel pity for Brittany
? Yeah, Sandy is so shameless..
“I’ll be back Ashley, need to use the restroom” Savannah said and left.
Kenneth watched her leave. He discreetly followed her behind too.
Savannah finished easing herself and got out. She met Kenneth in front of her. She sighed and turned the other side to leave.
“Savvy..” Kenneth caught her arm and turned her to him.
“Why don’t you let me be! I’m trying to forget about you but you’re making things harder for me!!” Savannah yelled
“How should I stay away from Miss amoeba… Thought you wanted to rip me off for stealing your first kss” Kenneth said and Savannah instantly froze.
Kenneth cupped her cheek and slowly pulled off her mask from her face. He leaned closer to her, rubbing his nose on hers.
“You once asked me if I had a crush on you. No, I don’t have a crush on you Savvy… I love you” He said huskily and captured her lips in the softest kss ever…
