“Oh my God” I screamed and then ran to where she was. She was Seriously bleeding and that was adding to my worries.
“Get the car keys immediately” I said to Viviana but she still stood where she was.
“I said you should get the keys” I yelled
“Its in my room” I said and that was when she left.
I carried Nicky and then rushed down the stairs and got outside. It was still raining but I wasn’t affected by the rain.
Viviana came outside with the key and then opened the car which I gently put Nicky in before rushing to the drivers sit to start the car.
Viviana took the front passenger sit while Nicky was lying down on the back seat.
I started the car immediately and rushed out of the compound with so much haste.
My heart kept pounding cos if anything should happen to Nicky or the child, I’d definitely not forgive myself.
† Life saver hospital ? †
I arrived at the hospital which was nearer and horned loudly since it would inform the nurses that there was an emergency.
Immediately I saw 3 nurses with a stretcher rushing towards my car which was at the entrance of the hospital.
I opened the door and together we gently and steadily took Nicky out of the car and placed her on the stretcher which was rolled quickly into the Hospital while I and Viviana followed from behind…..

Who is the master mind behind all this? Me!?
Who thought of pouring water in front of their room? Still me?
Who’s the reason why Nicky is being admitted to the hospital? No one else than me?
“Nothing will stop that b**ch from joining her ancestors today, if she makes it, I bet that child won’t”
“And I’ll then have Alfredo all to myself, but first I have to be the innocent orphan girl he knows. And when it’s time to strike, I’ll strike like a viper??”

I was at the office going through some business stuffs and attending to some clients.
The rain and bad weather couldn’t make me miss work today. And one of the reasons why I really did come to work today was because of Martyr my pretty secretary.
She had all of Nicky’s qualities and that was one reason why I liked her.
And when I say all of Nicky’s qualities, I mean all but not almost everything though. She wasn’t perfectly like Nicky.
Then my cell phone ranged.
?Hey bro…… I said to Alfredo
?Abner!……….. I heard him say with a shaky voice
?Buddy? Are you okay? Alfredo what’s going on?
?I’m not fine. Abner, Nicky just got admitted to the hospital, she had an accident?
?Whatttt!?What kind of accident?
?Home accident, pls come to life saver hospital. I can’t take this all alone…….
He said and hanged up.
“Oh my God! Nicky? At the Hospital” I stood up immediately and then rushed out of my office even though martyr followed me from behind asking me what was going on I still didn’t stop to speak to her or anything.
I entered my car and drove to the hospital as fast as I could, neglecting the slippery road and my blur vision.

?Oh my God? I’ll return to Australia Asap!
? Pls do sis……. Alfredo said and ended the call.
“Darling is there a problem?” Frances asked.
“Yeah, we have to leave for Australia immediately”
“What’s wrong?”
“No time to speak, my brother’s wife just got involved in a home accident??”
“You mean the one that is pregnant?”
“Its obvious. Please let’s go to Australia immediately”
“Yeah, I hope she and the unborn child don’t get hurt”
“Yeah, me too”

I sat patiently at the waiting ward waiting for the doctor handling Nicky to come out. Then I saw Abner run into the hospital and then he came to where I was.
“Alfredo where is she? Where?”
“She’s being attended to” I said to him and then he calmed down a little and sat beside me.
“So you went to the office?” I asked him
“Yes….Is her family aware of her condition?”
“Yes, they’re on their way”
“Okay”
5 hours later?
We all (Abner, Viviana and Nicky’s family) were waiting patiently for the doctor to come out and then he finally did come out with a long face and that added to my panic….
We rushed to him and asked him about Nicky at once….
“Sorry, but I gat some bad news” he said….
Bad news???
