Chapter 122
“Father-in-law, you were accused, you fell into a trap you never expected.
He probably used your face as the kller when he was the one,” Martin said, and Mr. Martin chuckled.
“Just as expected of Martin Parker. You are very smart,” he said.
“Father-in-law, I promised to bring justice. I will get you out of here,” Martin said.
“I don’t really care if I die here, but I want you to protect my family.
Recently, Tom came here to threaten me. I have paid some men to help me investigate the case, but then he found out and klled them.
They were probably close to getting the truth, and that had angered him. He said he was going to kll my family,”
“He wouldn’t dare come close to them, sir,” Martin said seriously, and Mr. Jackson smiled.
“You are worthy of my daughter, and I am happy you and my daughter are together,” Mr. Jackson said, and Martin laughed softly.
“Time’s up,” a police officer said and dragged Mr. Jackson up harshly, making Martin frown.
He grabbed hold of the officer’s cloth harshly, almost tearing it off.
“How dare you?”
“Just because he is a prisoner doesn’t mean you have to disrespect him.
He is old enough to be your father,” he yelled, and by now, most of the police were already around.
“Oh my goodness, that’s popular businessman Martin Parker,” a female police officer yelled.
“Martin, enough. You are going to ruin your reputation,” Mr. Jackson said. Martin glared at him before pushing him away.
“You are going to pay for this. Get ready to be fired in 1 hour,” he said and walked out.

“Mum,” Ava called and rushed into her mother’s arms.
“Oh, my princess,” she kissed her cheek, and Ava smiled.
Evelyn stood by the door, staring at them, and she slowly wiped away the tears gathering in her eyes.
She just felt so scared to lose her mother. She had heard of some people not making it out alive, and she was really scared to lose her mother.
“Mum,” she called, slowly moving towards her, and they both hugged each other.
“How have you been doing?” she asked as she patted both girls’ hair.
“She has been doing fine. She wouldn’t even care for me anymore.
All she cares about is Uncle Martin,” Ava said, folding her arms and looking angry, and they burst into laughter.
“Come on, Ava, you know I will never abandon you,” Evelyn said.
“I know. And I am happy that you are with Uncle Martin,” Ava said, and Evelyn smiled, patting her hair softly.
“Where is Martin?” her mum asked.
“Mum, he is going on a business trip, but he will be back next week,” she replied, and her mother nodded.
Almost immediately, her phone rang. She smiled immediately she saw the name “Heart Dearest.”
“Hmm, Mum, excuse me,” she said and rushed out, while her mother just smiled.
