Chapter 46

Martin drove up to the grand house, and a guard promptly opened the door for him as he stepped out.

“Welcome, young master,” the guards bowed, but he didn’t bother answering them and simply walked into the house.

The house was beautiful, painted in blue and white, giving it an exquisite interior.

Expensive couches adorned the sitting room, and a large TV was mounted on the wall.

A fancy table with a flower centerpiece stood in the center of the sitting room.

The house exuded beauty, elegance, and luxury.

“Martin,” he heard the familiar voice call, and when he turned around, his sister hugged him tightly, almost knocking him off balance.

“Geez, Charlotte,” Martin muttered as he hugged her.

“Son,” he heard his mother’s voice call from behind, and he smiled when he saw his mother majestically ascending the stairs, like a queen.

“Mom,” he called happily and hugged the beautiful woman, who reciprocated with a smile on her face.

She had missed her son so much. Being apart from him for several months had been challenging.

Martin lived in his own house and was always too busy to visit his parents.

The woman looked much younger than her late 50s. She was beautiful, young, and classy.

She wore a yellow dress that stopped at her knee, with light makeup enhancing her beauty.

“I missed you, Mom,” he said, still smiling as he hugged her, while his mother gazed at him.

“You seem cheerful. What’s the news?” she asked, and Martin chuckled.

He knew he was happy because of Evelyn. Just thinking about her made him smile.

“Mum…” he called shyly.

“Martin,” he heard his name being called and he didn’t bother answering, as he already knew who it was.

His expression suddenly changed to anger. He turned around to finally look at him, and the two men stared at each other.

“Mr. Parker,” he called, glaring at his father angrily, and the man sighed.

His father genuinely liked him, but he couldn’t seem to stop being angry at him.

Why? Because his mother wasn’t quick to give birth, he married someone else, only to realize that his mother was already pregnant.

He grew up in a war zone, witnessing his mother going to the hospital every day due to the fights between the two wives who hated each other.

At the age of 18, he moved to his own house to avoid witnessing the wars.

He then built his own company, which made him popular.

Those moments, witnessing the fights, made him a heartless man, and he developed a cold heart.

“Why am I being called here?” he asked, glaring at his father.

Almost immediately, the devil walked in with her children trailing behind her.

Three girls and a boy.

The children were never in a good mood; they all hated each other intensely.

Jealousy, hatred, and anger ran in Mr. Parker’s family. He had tried to settle their disputes but ended up creating a war.

“Whoa, who do we have here?” Justin said, in a mocking tone, and Martin just huffed.

The two brothers were enemies, but Justin knew better than to get on Martin’s nerves.

The last fight they had ended with him in the hospital, and ever since then, he was scared of Martin.

“Martin, please calm down. I called you here for a reason,” Parker said, and Martin huffed.

“Okay, old man, please go ahead,” he said, and his father sighed.
