Chapter 48
She still felt insecure dating Martin.
“What the h’ll is that for?” he asked as they got into the elevator.
“I told you, Martin, we aren’t dating in the company. I am just your secretary,” she said, and Martin scoffed.
He really wanted the whole world to know that they were dating, wanted everyone to know that they belonged to each other.
He held her hand softly, and she gasped, trying to pull her hand away, but he held it tightly.
“We are the only ones in the elevator, dummy,” he said, and Evelyn rolled her eyes anyway.
They smiled at each other while holding their hands, and almost immediately, the elevator door opened, revealing five employees.
Evelyn quickly removed her hand from his, making him chuckle.
The employees bowed down and stood in front of them.
He tried to reach out for her hand again, but she sI.apped it away.
“They won’t notice us,” he whispered in her ear. One of the employees turned to look at them, and Evelyn sI.apped him across the face, causing the other employees to turn and widen their eyes.
Martin groaned in pain, holding his cheek.
“I’m… I’m so sorry, boss,” she stammered, holding onto Martin, who was still groaning in pain.
The employees stared at them suspiciously before turning around, and Evelyn let out a sigh of relief. The elevator stopped, and they all stepped out.
Evelyn sat down on a chair, arranging some files, when the door opened, and Martin walked in.
“Hey, babe,” he said as he entered.
“Don’t call me that here again,” she said, and Martin rolled his eyes before moving towards her.
He placed both hands on her shoulders and slowly massaged them.
“It’s lunch break, so I was thinking you and I could have lunch together,” he whispered in her ear, and Evelyn just smiled before turning around to look at him.
“Okay, but don’t do anything stupid there.”
“Like what?” he asked, biting his lip seductively while staring at her. Evelyn gulped and looked away, focusing on her hands.
“Nothing,” she quickly replied, turning her back to him.
He turned her chair around, making her face him. He bent down in front of her, tilting his head and staring at her face, while Evelyn shyly played with her hands.
“I want to kss you,” he whispered close to her face, gently lifting her chin to meet his gaze.
“Seriously, Martin, we’re in the office,” she whispered, looking around.
“I don’t care, Evelyn. Besides, I own this company,” he said, tracing his hand on her chest, making her shiver.
“Martin,” she called softly, trying to pull his hand away, but he kssed her on the lips before she could react.
The kiss was deep as the couple passionately embraced, running their hands through each other’s hair.
He made her stand up and pushed her against the wall, still kssing her fervently.
“Hmmm,” Evelyn moaned between ksses, running her hands through Martin’s hair.
Their bodies were pressed against the wall, breathing heavily as their lips locked together.
They could taste their shared breath and feel the thud of their combined heartbeat as they fumbled to remove each other’s clothes.
The door opened, revealing Elizabeth, and Evelyn quickly pushed Martin away, causing him to land on the ground harshly.
Elizabeth stared at him in confusion and then looked at Evelyn.
“Um, Elizabeth… What… What are you doing here?” she nervously asked, and Elizabeth scoffed as she watched Martin stand up from the ground.
