Chapter 93

Haris sat on the bed, smiling softly. All he could think about was Elizabeth, and he couldn’t even stop smiling when he thought of her.

He wore his slippers and walked out of the room, bumping into someone, making him groan.

He rubbed his forehead slowly, looking at who it was, and he frowned immediately when he saw Noah.

He hissed and tried to walk past him, but he pulled him back towards himself.

“I told you, you can’t run away from me,” he whispered in his ear, and Haris frowned in disgust, pushing him away forcefully.

“What the heck is wrong with you?” Haris shouted, glaring angrily at him.

“You are the one driving me crazy, Haris. I can’t seem to get myself together since that day.

I have been searching for you ever since. My thoughts are filled with you…”

“That is your problem,” Haris cut him off, and Noah sighed.

“I don’t know you, so stay away from me. No matter how hard you try, you can’t have me,” he hissed and turned around, only to see Elizabeth staring at them.

Haris just faked a smile at her, which she returned.

“Elizabeth,” he called, and she smiled back. He held her hand softly, and they both walked out, leaving the other person sighing sadly.

He really has feelings for Haris, and it’s genuine. It hurts so much to think that the other guy is in love with someone else.

Evelyn sat down on the couch, engrossed with her phone. She was too embarrassed to even go to Martin, who was discussing with his friends, so she decided to keep herself busy.

The news was still on the internet.

“Popular business tycoon Martin Parker’s girlfriend was attacked at the airport.”

She scoffed and scrolled past it. She just didn’t want to remember that incident.

Her mind suddenly drifted to Alexander, and she sighed. She really didn’t know what happened after that incident. Probably he is at the hospital.

Almost immediately, her phone was snatched from her hand. She looked up and saw that it was Haris.

“Seriously, Haris?” She tried to retrieve her phone, but Haris didn’t allow her.

“Expecting someone else, right?” He winked at her, and Evelyn rolled her eyes.

“I am in deep trouble, bestie,” he said, sitting beside her.

“What is it?” she asked in a worried tone.

“I am in a serious mess,” he said.

“Can you just say the nonsense?” Evelyn said.

“Noah… Martin’s friend said he likes me,” Haris said, and Evelyn scoffed.

“I don’t understand,” she raised her eyebrows.

The sitting room door opened, and two maids walked in, carrying bags, grabbing everyone’s attention. Almost immediately, Mrs. Parker walked in.

“Mum,” Martin’s friends rushed to hug her, making her laugh.

“Mum,” Martin called and hugged her, which she reciprocated immediately, kssing his head softly.

Evelyn’s eyes widened, and her heart beat violently as she watched them.

She couldn’t believe she was seeing his mother right now.

The woman looked like she was in her late 20s. So pretty and young.

She was so scared right now.

What if she doesn’t like me?
