Episode 45
The drive was quiet as Cassie look through the window enjoying the cold breeze coming in. She was at the back seat with Miguel while the driver was driving them.
So many thoughts running through her mind, her face was at the side of the window but she could feel Miguel’s eyes on her. Immediately she felt him held her hand.
“Are you nervous? He asked calmly while Cassie stare at their hand clasped together, she gently removed her hand from his.
“Why are you doing this Miguel.. you don’t even know me that much to help me this way, ” she said.
” But I’ve known you for almost a year now,”
“I was in Coma for many months and this few months..
“Is it because of what your father said? Are you still doubting me? He cut her off.
“Am sorry,” she whisper.
“You’re safe with me… Always! He said staring intently at her.
Cassie let out a small smile seeing the genuiness in his face.
“I think you’re the nicest person I’ve ever meet, ” she smile.
” We are in this together.. I believe destiny brought us together so we can fight this and it exactly what we will do, ” he said.
” But did your parents know about this? She asked.
“Well no! Ever since dad asked you to leave he never mention you again and he don’t even know I know of your whereabout but that isn’t a problem, ” he said.
” And Nadine is also coming to join us there, ”
” Thanks a lot, ” she smile.

@The police station?…
Miguel and Cassie walked in as they headed straight to the officer in charge.
.
“Am just scared with the things happening that’s why I want to tell you this, ” Dr. Mark said.
When he heard of their arrest he knew something was fishy especially when Kendall requested to see him because he’s health wasn’t getting any better.
“I wasn’t the one who sent Dr. Franco and when you called at that time I was kidnapped by some unknown men on my way to your house that evening, they forced me to say whatever I told you and after that the realised me and threaten to kll my family if I dare speak up, ” he said so tensed up.
” So was what happened? Nadine asked walking closer to them and they were all surprised to see her with two of the cops behind her.
“And what are you doing here? They asked unison.
” To know exactly what he’s trying to tell you, ” Nadine said sternly.
” Am sorry Mr Kendall but according to the test I did on you few weeks back seems like you were injected with a p®isonous substance and it slowly klling you, ” he said.
” What! Who is this Dr. Franco then? Kendall asked shocked to hear that.
He’s eyes were almost popping out of it’s socket due to shocked, he could vividly remember that day when the man came and inject him.
“Aside from Cassie I think we have another enemy,” he said..
” Of course you will have plenty enemies because you’re so full of eviI, ” Nadine said.
” Atleast you will pay for what you did to Lorenzo’s family, ” she said.
” Am getting my lawyer and we’ll definitely settle this in court,” Kendall said in rage.
” I need to talk to you privately,” Nadine said to Dr. Mark and they left…

Nadine was glad when she saw Cassie and Miguel.
“You came,” Cassie smile and hugged her.
“You did so well Cassie and I assure you non of them is going scot free. We have to get our attorney ready for this and it’s a good thing Craig is ready to testify against all of them,”
” Thank you all,” she smile.

The three of them went to the waiting area and Kamil was brought out with the police behind him..
“You’ve finally succeeded in destroying me,” he said to Cassie.
” I haven’t started anything yet, by the time am done with you, you’ll regret ever knowing Cassandra Vincente,” she said icily.
You can’t pull me down Cassie, never! And as for you,” he point at Miguel and Nadine then laughed.
” Don’t bite more than you can chew.. can you really put be behind bars if you know the truth about us,” he laughed mockily while Miguel and Nadine Wonder what he meant.
“Kamil.. my son,” they heard a voice as a woman quickly rushed and hugged Kamil. Cassandra could still remember the face. It’s Kamil’s mom.
“You,” Sonia said in shocked looking at Cassie.
“I know you’re aware of your son’s plan but you never stop him from hurting me. Your just the same as your son and you deserves to rot here too,” Cassie said angrily while Sonia raise her hand to slap Cassie but Miguel caught it half way.
“You dare not try that,” he said then release her hand with full force making her staggered back.
“Mom! Kamil quickly held her back as he stare at Miguel with so much hatred.
“And who are you to touch me,” Sonia barked at Miguel.
” A loose and stupid mother who couldn’t raise her son so well I know why you have no husband and why Kamil’s father probably left you because you’re a shameless mother,” Cassie blast at her while Sonia fume in anger.
” Well that same man that dump me and my son is no order but Josie Montes. He’s your father,” Sonia yelled at Miguel.
” Oh.. look at the confuse faces… Didn’t your dumb father tell you that and what about your mom? ,” Sonia laughed sarcastically.
” Will you watch your brother rot here in jail all because of Cassie’s stupid accusations,”
” Enough.. this criminal here can never be my brother.. you sound so stupid,” Miguel said trying to calm the tension.

Nadine arrived home past 9 only to meet with angry Leonard who was with Eric.
“Where have you been? He asked angrily.
” Today was so hectic, I need some rest please,” she said then make an attempt to carry little Eric on the bed but Leonard stopped her.
“You are involving yourself in that case because it somehow connected with Lorenzo’s de.ath and that of his family death. You still haven’t gotten over him right. Eric was crying all through the night when you left what type of a mother are you Nadine! ” He yelled.
” Your not the one to tell me what to do Leon and who is talking about Lorenzo here?
“Because even after his de.ath you still can’t forget him and moved on and it badly affecting our marriage and also our son. You should be careful Nadine because you might wake up one day and you won’t see me nor Eric,”
” Don’t even blab that nonsense to my face because Eric is my son, alone and not yours,” she fired back while Leonard looked at her surprised
” What did you mean? He asked..

Miguel return back home that night so angry, coupled with what Sonia told them, he doesn’t believe her but she was damn serious about all what she said.
He meet his mom at the dining table.
“Where’s dad? He asked
” Maybe in his study room,” Julianna replied.
“Is it true? And was that the reason why you guys have been having problem these days? He asked while Julianna looked at him.
“What’s wrong? She asked.
” Cassie is still pushing through with her case mom and the truth is finally revealing itself. Who is Sonia and who is Kamil to dad? He asked and Julianna’s eyes widened in shocked. Nothing can be hidden forever.
“I guess you should direct that question to your dad not me,”
“But do you know anything about it? Miguel asked.
“Don’t ruin my evening Miguel… I’ve pass my bedtime already I need to rest,” she said.

Josie who was done in his study room came out and saw Miguel.
“Who is Sonia dad? Miguel asked while Josie was surprised to hear that from him as he looked at Julianna.
“H.. how did you know that? He asked..
” Kamil was arrested and his mom rushed there and told me everything. I guess Cassie’s is right because they’re still much secret to unveil ,”
” I trust you and I have always known you to be a strict and well principled man. The only thing I need from you now is the truth,” he said.
” So it actually true? Miguel asked seeing the look on their faces alone tells him the answer, he felt so disappointed.
“It’s complicated Miguel.. Sonia might be lying about Kamil being my son we have to run a DNA test to know the real truth ,” he said..
” Or maybe you should clean up the mess you did with her.. now it actually you that want to ruin this family by getting involved with that criminals.. am disappointed dad! So disappointed!
