“Here is your apple juice ,you shouldn’t munch on your pancakes so fast. Kathrine said handing Ariel a glass cup filled with apple juice. She had arrived not too long after Jerald left .
“I can’t help it ,I am so hungry , Ariel replied with her mouth full of pancakes.
“But you are eating like a glutton, Kathrine chuckled.
“Don’t call me that ,I am just hungry you know me I don’t eat like this , Ariel replied.
“Oh really ,I see , whatever you say prin……cess …..of ….. gluttons, Kathrine said then bursted into laughter.
“Kaaaaaaaathrine , Ariel called faking anger .
“Yes your highness , Kathrine replied and both girls bursts into laughter .
“Oh I forgot to tell you , Jerald came to see me ,he wished me happy birthday and gave me a gift , Ariel said.
“Really , what’s inside the gift box , Kathrine asked curiously.
“It’s a perfume and it’s shape like a heart,he gave it to me ,while I gave him the gold wristwatch you helped me order online few days ago , Ariel said.
“Wait ,that was for him ,I thought it was for me , Kathrine said .
“Of course not kath,I already got you one on your birthday what do you need another one for , Ariel asked.
“Nothing it’s just that watch is really beautiful,I can’t believe you gave to that guy who doesn’t give a fk about you. Kathrine said .
“Jerald care’s about me ,I am his kid sister , although he did a lot of wrong things but that was in the past ,now he is different and changed , and I know I shouldn’t be saying this but ,I LOVE HIM AND HE FEELS LIKE MORE THAN JUST A BROTHER TO ME. Ariel said making Kathrine open her mouth in shock .
“Ariel what the he.ll are you saying ,I can’t believe this came out of your mouth,do you know what you said is wrong and an insult to your mom , Kathrine said annoyed .
“I don’t care what you think , and i know it’s an insult to mom , that’s why I am telling you this because it has to be a secret between you and I, Ariel replied.
“Ariel this isn’t right ,my advice to you is to clear any mutual feeling you have for Jerald ,he is your brother and you are his kid sister , Mrs Damien only wants to see you both as siblings , Kathrine said trying to impact some sense into Ariel who wasn’t in the mood for lectures ,she laid on her bed not caring about Kathrine who was talking non stop, and fell asleep.

8:00 pm……
Three hours later, Mrs Damien’s Mansion had started to get filled up with her guests. The room was filled up with celebrities ,friends, business partners Ariel’s blind school mate and friends who had a special space kept for them to mingle with each other with the supervision of Mr clement, Ariel’s class teacher .
Famous celebrities were also invited ,those who Ariel liked ,they were mostly musicians and quoters that attended as Ariel’s favorite celebrities.
Jerald’s friend already arrived ,they had been together in his room chatting about random stuff all evening ,untill a maid was sent upstairs to inform them about the party which was about to start .
“Dude , you look great , Landon Jerald’s best friend complemented him.
He was putting on a fancy jet black Tuxedo ,with his hair gelled backwards and a matching black shining shoe with gold lining,he had a gold ring on his hand ,with the watch Ariel had given him earlier , and a tiny gold earring on his left ear,he was looking breathtaking .
“Thanks , let’s get going, before my mom comes here and scold us. Jerald said and Landon nodded .
They both left the room heading downstairs ,when Landon suddenly got rooted to the ground. Jerald noticed this and turned around to see him staring intently at someone. He turned to his direction to this particular person and saw Kathrine, she was looking stunning but he had a feeling that wasn’t the reason Landon was looking at her .
“Bro what’s up with you , Jerald asked walking to him ,but Landon didn’t utter a word he rushed towards Kathrine who was busy with her phone taking pictures of the dress she had in her hands ,they were for Ariel ,she had gone to get them from Mrs Damien’s room ,it was the dress Mrs Damien bought for Ariel months ago.
“Kathy Rosa , Landon called Kathrine by the name she was known as on social media.
Kathrine on hearing the name turned to the direction and was surprised to see her pen pal Landon who lived in France ,how come he was in New York,at Ariel’s house and with Jerald .
“Landon , Kathrine called in surprise .
“Oh my God,it’s really you ,I thought my eyes were deceiving me , Landon said with all smiles he had no ideas he was gonna be meeting up with his crush at his best friends birthday party .
“I am so surprised right now,how did you know this place I thought you where in France, Kathrine questioned.
“Yes I was but I came for my best friend’s birthday party , Landon said pointing towards Jerald who stood waiting impatiently for him .
“Oh my this is indeed a small world ,I am glad I met you ,I will see you at the party , Kathrine said and left .
“Alright bye , Landon said and Jerald immediately pulled him away going downstairs to the party.
Immediately she got to Ariel’s room she breathed a sigh of relief .
“Are you okay ,Jon asked and Katherine nodded ,she dropped the dress on Ariel’s bed and payed on it thinking of her encounter with Landon.
*Did I speak to him well ?
*Was I nice enough?
*What does he see me as?
*Do I look beautiful ?
Kathrine questioned her self endlessly having no idea the make up artist were already done with Ariel and she was now fully ready after Jon dressed her up .
“Kath ,are you okay,Jon asked again.
“What’s wrong with Katherine ,is she okay , Ariel asked .
“Guys I am fine ,just thinking nothing much , Kathrine replied.
“You have been out for minutes now , and you seriously say you are fine just thinking , Jon asked.
“Yes Jon ,you heard me clear I am fine ,stop worrying ,we need to get going , Ariel you are looking perfect ,come on let’s go, Kathrine rushed her word ,Jon and Ariel not having any choice didn’t ask any further questions.
