Author’s pov :
Everyone got dressed for the meeting. The first meeting started at exactly 8 am. Everyone was seated.
Mr Anderson was first to speak. He welcomed everyone. Next was Lissa, although she was a bit nervous at first, her presentation was a wow. Everyone congratulated her after the meeting.
Aidan was next to present. Being someone already in the business world, it was easy to convince the investors. Ladies were seen drooling over him.
The first session ended at exactly 12pm. They were to come back for the evening session by 4pm.
Lissa was super proud of Aidan. Aidan was also proud of her.
It was a successful meeting
Lissa’s pov :
I was so happy with the outcome of the meeting. I know dad will be very proud of me. Different people kept coming to congratulate me.
Mostly males. Some were trying to fl!rt with me, while others were here with good intentions.
“Hi beautiful” someone said from behind
I lift my head to see a cute guy staring at me. Not as cute as Aidan or Mason though
“Hi” I replied
“You did a great job up there” he said
I smiled
“Thanks”
“Delvan Miller” he said
“Melissa Martins”
We shake hands and he peck me on my hand
“Nice meeting you”
“Nice meeting you too” I replied
“Will you be free for dinner tonight?” He asked
“Is that a date?” I chuckled nervously
“If you call it a date. A date it is. Dinner date to be precise” he said amidst smiles
He smiles a lot but why do I feel nervous. Why do I feel he’s here to hurt me.
If he wants a date. I can’t go with him. I want my first day to be with Aidan. I want him to be my first in everything.
“Are you listening at all” he said, I chuckled
“Sorry, I might be busy tonight maybe another time” I answered
“No problem, I will wait patiently for the other time” he said, I nodded
“See you around” he said
I nodded
“Can I at least get a hug from you?” He asked
Hug! He wants to hug me. Before I could say anything he pulled me into a hug.
“Bye” he said and left
I sat down and Emily walk up to me
“You did a great job best” Emily said
“Thanks best, I know you will do better” I answered
“Hmmmm, I hope so, I’m super scared”
“You’re bold you know that. I trust you. I trust that you will not disappoint me or dad”
“Thank dear”
Aidan’s pov :
When the meeting ended, girls were coming over to my place. I felt irritated. Nobody gives me joy like my cr@zy btch.
“Fk off, I’m engaged” I glared at them
They left immediately
“Hey that’s harsh” Mason said laughing
“Maybe it is” I answered laughing also
“Mason, I have something to say” I said
“I have something to say too but you say yours first” he replied
“I think I like Lissa” I said and he chuckled
“Of course you do, you said that yourself”
“No not just like. I think i’m, i’m” I was about saying something when my eyes caught sight of her hugging a guy.
She seems happy doing that. I was so angry I felt like pu.nching him.
“You were saying something” Mason said
“Nevermind” I said
I stood up and left the hall
“Your files? Mason said
I ignored him. I got outside to see Violeta. At least I can take my mind off her. We talked for sometime.
She was really a fun person to be with.
“Let’s go to my room, I have something to show you” she said
“What?, your room?” I asked
“Yes” she said
I turned to see Mason looking at me. I winked at him
“Come let’s go” she said and drag me away
Lissa’s pov :
I was still sitting down, packing up my files when I saw Aidan leaving the hall. Everything that happened that morning was still vivid in my mind.
I couldn’t help but blush
“Hey, you’re blushing” Emily said
“I’m not”
I picked my file and left the room with Emily trailing behind. I got outside to see Aidan laughing and talking to Violeta.
I felt great anger but I tried to hold it back. I stand afar watching them both
“We should go Lissa” Emily said and tried holding my hand but I shrugged
I felt like b0uncing on her. She was fl!rting with him. Soon, she dr@g him away and I was tempted to find out where she was taking him too.
“Go, I will meet you in the room” I said
I gave my file to Emily, and followed. They passed through a hallway and stopped in front of a room.
They were saying something but I couldn’t hear them. Finally, she opened the door and they went inside. I was about following them when someone held my hand
I turned, it was Mason. He stopped me from going in.
“Lissa, don’t” he said
“You might end up hurting yourself” he added
I felt frustrated. I released my hand from his grip and walked away. He should have let me go in. He should have.
I got to the room and went in. I felt really bad, frustrated and cheated.
“Is he going to sl.eep with her” I thought
“Lissa come on cheer up” Emily said
I tried my possible best not to think about it but I can’t. I took my bath and changed into something simple.
“I will go take some fresh air” I said
“I will go with you” she answered
“No, I want to be a lone. I need to clear my head”
“Sure you will be ok?” She asked
I nodded and left her in the room. Maybe this will help me clear my head.
Aidan’s pov :
When we got to her room, she asked me to seat and I did. She went straight to the bathroom. She came out few minutes after with a t0wel wrap around her che$t and her b0dy wet
She walked se.ductively close to me
“I should have know this was her plan all along” I thought
“Come on don’t just seat there staring at me” she said but I didn’t move
“Is she expecting me to sl.eep with her no no no”
“Come on, a one n!ght $tand won’t kill you” my sub mind said
“Hey, I can’t cheat on her”
“Well she cheated on you, you saw her hugging another guy”
“That doesn’t mean I should cheat on her”
“Well it’s your choice, but I can bet you she doesn’t love you’
“Shut up” I yelled
“What?” Viol asked shocked
“Sorry, I can’t” I said
“You can’t, I thought you love me?” She asked
“So I thought too, but I love someone else. I’m in love with someone else” I said
“Lissa?” She asked
“Maybe, maybe not” I said
“Talk to me”
“I can’t” I said and left the room
I followed the passage, back to the conference hall and decided to take a fresh air. I went to the garden and then I saw her seated with that guy again.
He whispered something to her before cra$hing his l!ps on hers.
What???
“She’s cheating. She doesn’t love me.
I’m so stupid to believe she loves me. I was so angry.
I was about walking away when I heard her scream right in my head. I turned to see them struggling.
“Wait!!!!, is he trying to take advantage of her?”
She tried pushing him off but he held her.
She kept struggling with him
No one dares hurt my baby.
I walked closer to him and pulled him up. She stood up and ran to me. She was in tears.
What? He made her cry.
I punch him on his face. He fell to the ground
My eyes were already red and burning with anger.
Someone is so dead today!!!!
