Ryan leaned back on his seat around the circled table we occupied.
A table for four scattered alover the edges of the hall.
Somehow, alcohol had been smuggled into the party and students began to drink wisely.
I noticed Ryan watching Diana and her boyfriend intensively which made me upset especially over the fact that Diana would return the gaze occasionally.
“Wanna dance?”I offered Ryan as he faced me and smiled lightly.
“No Corriene. Am good”He turned down and I got off my seat going to his side.
“Com’on..up.. let’s dance”I urged making him stand up with a groan.
We walked to the dance floor and I began shaking my body to the rocking music that threatened to pull down the building.
“Com’on Ryan, dance”I urged shaking my body alover him as he only sighed.
“Hold on..”I said to Ryan and hurried to meet the dee-jay who is a student like me and asked him to play slow love songs and he agreed.
I hurried back to Ryan who stood watching Dave and Diana.
No sooner,the song came on and the atmosphere changed.
Students grabbed their desired partners while I faced Ryan.
“May I have this dance?”I requested and he chuckled.
“Quit being boyish Corriene”He said and pulled me close to him holding unto my waist tightly while I locked my arms around his neck and we began to move slowly to the rhythm of the music being played.

As we danced, I occasionally glanced at Ryan to see how Corriene held him so tight and how they talked happily.
I felt envy within me at the way Ryan held her so close and tight.
“Are you okay?”I heard Dave ask worriedly.
I looked at his chest blinking rapidly.
” Am fine”I sighed and glanced at Ryan to see Corriene using her right hand to caress his face making my chest hurt a little.

I stared at Ryan’s pretty pink lips as we danced and my mind was filled up with thoughts of kssing him and nothing more.
I stood on tip toe and captured Ryan’s lips as I felt him stiffened against me.
I ran my fingers through my hair kssing him until he began to respond positively and I smrinked against his lips.
I hope Diana sees this ….

I watched Corriene kss Ryan who responded fully to it holding her tight which made my heart sink down to my stomach.
I don’t get why all what they are doing is affecting me.
I am now dating Dave happily but seeing those two together hurts in a way I cannot imagine.
“Um… excuse me”I muttered disengaging from Dave and rushed out of the hall filled with students already cooing at the kss Ryan and Corriene shared.
Once out into the dark night, I felt a hot tear escape my eye and I was quick to wipe it.
What is happening to me!?
“Babe!”
I sniffed wiping my face before Dave got to me.
“What happened? Why did you leave the hall?”Dave queried and I did not let him finish before tip-toeing and claiming his lips.
He appeared stunned but reciprocated.
After seconds of a long breathless kss, I pulled off.
“Wow!” Dave breathed with gleamy eyes and my cheeks turned red.
That kss was all it took to get me thinking well again.
“You could have simply asked for a kss babe” Dave chuckled.
“Stop it”I blushed and he sighed pulling me in for a hug.

It took me so long to realise the attention we had drawn to ourselves before I broke the kss.
“Com’on”I said to Corriene taking her hand and leading us out of the crowded hall.
We walked quite a distance before my fuzzy head cleared up.
I sighed sitting on a bench with Corriene by my side who touched my shoulder tenderly.
“Are you okay?” She asked with a tone of worry totally obvious.
“I am fine”I assured with a smile as I peered into her pretty black eyes.
“Did you really have to kss me ?” I asked and she blushed.
“You were too tempting to ignore” She replied and I grinned.
“Even now?”i further asked and she rolled her eyeballs sensing where I am heading to.
“I am not ready for another kss Ryan” She groaned and I smrinked.
“You started it” I said and pulled her close to me capturing her lips.
Diana is happy with Dave and I refuse to keep sulking all day.
Corriene has got my back for the past two weeks now, trying so hard to make me happy.
Days ago, I got to know that Corriene had a crush on me from her friends.
I was too blind to notice and now I know, I am ready to give my heart a chance to love someone again.
I broke the kss caressing her face as she stared at me with gleamy eyes.
I fought within myself, searching for the perfect word I could use.
Even if I am to ask her out,it wouldn’t be like this or now.

Prom night turned out to be Cupid night.
Diana had fun with Dave outside the party hall.
Meanwhile, Carl and Delia were making great use of the dance floor.

Carl couldn’t take his eyes off Delia’s face which made her feel all warm within.
The students were surprised to see them dancing together while Lesley glared hard at Delia.
“You are pretty” Carl cooed and Delia felt her cheeks heat up.
“You are handsome too” She smiled sheepishly.
Carl grinned and spinned her while they danced and she gasped then chuckled hardly.

I smiled happily listening to Delia and Denise narrations on how they got hooked up during prom last night.
“… and I said yes. It really felt so beautiful” Denise concluded with a sigh.
“Am so happy for you two. At least,am not the only one dating again “I said with a grin.
“So… are you still going on your movie date with Dave?” Delia asked and I nodded smiling bashfully.
“Yeah. Since we wouldn’t be going for the break”I replied.
“Am so bored right now” Denise groaned.
“Go meet Mason” Delia teased and Denise chuckled.
“You are cr*zy Delia. How about we go grab some snacks” Denise suggested.
“Yeah!. We should” I agreed getting off my bed stretching tiredly.
Saturday’s are really kinda boring.
I really can’t wait for I and Dave movie date.
That would be my very first time at the school movie hall and he readily agreed to pay for us.
Yeah!…
The movie fees aren’t added to our payment and the hall is opened only on Sundays.
I and the girls opted for a corporate dressing of jeans pants and black shirts with white sneaker shoes.
“I think we should try out the new burger” Denise suggested as we stepped out.
“You mean the chicken burger?” I asked arching a brow.
“Yeah! That one” She confirmed and I nodded.
“Heard it tastes like heaven!” Delia sighed dramatically.
“Do you know the taste of heaven?” I asked sarcastically and she was mute.
“Well..at least am allowed to exaggerate” She finally voiced as I and Denise laughed softly.
“Chicken burger it is”I announced as we began our long walk from the dorm area to the snack building.
