THE NEXT DAY
After Alice was dressed for work she walked out of her room and met Javier also coming out of his room, they stared at each other for some seconds and she suddenly wished she could talk to him.
She sighed and Walked downstairs slowly.
“Alice” Javier called rushing after her but she kept walking with out turning.
“What ?” She asked coldly when she got to the end of the stair case.
“Good morning” Javier said slowly.
“Morning” she replied and turned to leave But Wendy showed up immediately, she eyed Alice and hugged Javier closely.
“Good morning handsome” Wendy purred softly rubbing her body on his.
Alice felt a pang in her and she smiled and stared at Javier once more before walking out of the house.
“Morning” Javier said pulling away from her.
“Hope you slept well, I was really worried you were sick last night?” Wendy asked.
“Am good” he said coldly and walked back to his room, why is Alice giving him cold shoulders, but he apologized to her last night, he sighed and brought out his phone.

Alice walked almost angrily out of the house, she felt like htting something, what just happened? She never get uncomfortable with Wendy hugging Javier before, why now.
Alice shut her eyes and opened it but saw Pete standing in front of her.
“Someone looks like a lioness ready to devour someone these morning” Pete said with a smile and Alice scoffed and continued walking.
“I wish I could” Alice mumbled and stopped walking immediately, she faced him and he also stopped walking.
“Are you a relationship expert?” Alice asked and he frowned.
“Why did you asked?” Pete asked surprised and she scratched her head slowly.
“why don’t we talk about It later” Alice said awkwardly and kept walking.
“Okay, are we taking the bus or a cab?” Pete asked .
“Bus, bills on you” Alice winked and he smiled.
“Of course! What are friends for” Pete said and they both laughed.

“Guys gather up!” Madam Cassy said staring at the workers as they all gathered, a slender beautiful lady was standing beside her with a smile.
“You have a new worker now, why don’t you introduce yourself ” Madam Cassy said to the lady.
“I am Zoe, nice to meet you guys” Zoe said happily staring at the workers badge on their chests.
“More like Zoo” Blair mocked and Zoe rolled her eyes.
“you should have looked at your name before insulting, yours is more like a riffraff” Zoe fired and Alice smiled .
“it okay girls, I hope you guys get along” Madam Cassy said and walked away.
Zoe eyes landed on Pete’s and she tilted her head staring at him unbelievably.
“Wow , he Is hot” Zoe muttered
Wendy just rolled her eyes and walked away.
“Seems she is hitting on Pete” Blair whispered to Tina , Tina glared at Zoe and walked towards her.
“Hey you Zoo” Tina called and Zoe faced her immediately.
“Just stop calling me Zoo okay, I am Zoe!” Zoe fired.
“Seems the Newbie has liver”
“Am not a newbie, I can make you a newbie right now, so just fuck off, am not kind” Zoe snapped and pushed past Tina.
She stared at Pete who was talking to Alice and she winked at him, she walked towards them immediately.
“Hey guys” Zoe said with a smile, Pete just stared at her unbelievably, she just winked at him.
“Hi Zoe, you are welcome” Alice smiled at her .
“are you guys dating?” Zoe asked and Alice laughed.
“Of course not, just friends” Alice chuckled, Pete scoffed and tilted his head.
“alright, I hope we get along, because it seems we will” Zoe smiled at Alice.
“See you around Pete” Zoe said and touched his chest before walking away.
Alice bursted out laughing immediately at how speechless Pete was.
“Did a girl just made Pete speechless?” Alice mocked and Pete sighed.
“Is she a mermaid or something? She is crazy” Pete muttered, he touched his chest she had touched and wiped it off.
“Seems she fell already, why does it look like you guys might end up together?”
“You are not helping matter” Pete muttered and walked away, Alice covered her mouth still laughing.
Her mind suddenly went to Javier and she sighed bringing out her phone when she heard it beeped.
?how are you feeling?? from Javier, she sighed and dropped her phone back inside her pocket.
How can he ask how she is feeling, what a weirdo.
She walked back to her post immediately.

Zoe walked towards Wendy who was standing beside counter and smiled at her.
“Hi” Zoe said , Wendy looked up and stared at her rudely.
“Hey don’t be rude, am just been friendly” Zoe chuckled, Wendy rolled her eyes.
“What do you Want?” Wendy asked
“can you show me to the dressing room?” Zoe asked.
“Why? Do I look like your assistant?”
“don’t give me that crap, I am just trying to be nice” Zoe scoffed.
Just then Alice walked towards them and Zoe smiled immediately.
“Hey Alice”
“What is happening here?” Alice asked staring at Wendy who rolled her eyes at Her.
“I was just asking her the way to the dressing room and she Is been rude” Zoe said eyeing Wendy.
“It is that way” Alice said with a smile pointing towards the dressing room Direction and Zoe held her hands.
“You know what I love you! You are so nice, you are beautiful and I wonder if you are a mermaid!” Zoe giggled and Alice chuckled taking her hands away.
“it nothing ”
“It is that hard for some people to show direction, I wonder how they work, you are so curvy, please can I get your ointment?” Zoe asked , Alice just stared at the new girl, she Is a total talkative.
Wendy stared at them in anger and Jealousy and walked towards the restroom.
Alice stared as she walked away sadly.
“I don’t use ointments, it is natural” Alice said and Zoe eyes widened.
“Really? Oh my God!”
“Yes, I will see you later, I have to do something” Alice said and Rushed off after Wendy.
“I love you!” Zoe yelled after her and smiled.

Wendy walked inside the restroom and poured water On her face angrily.
She hates Alice real much, she gets the praises and Love, even in their college days,
“I hate you Alice” Wendy groaned angrily.
The door opened and Alice walked in immediately.
“Wendy?” Alice called touching her but Wendy slapped her hands away and stare at her in hatred.
“What do you want?” Wendy snapped.
“Will you stop all these madness! Why were you rude to the new lady?” Alice fired and Wendy laughed before facing her.
“Are you happy getting praises from someone just as usual, uuh tell me!”
“Are you now getting Jealous of me? I thought you are more than these, you are nice to everyone when am not , you are kind and sweet, where are you?” Alice asked seriously.
“That me is long dead since when I notice you were hitting on Javier” Wendy replied coldly.
“And I am telling you am not, why don’t you make him love you and stop all these madness”
“Really? i already started doing that, and i hope you get ready for it” Wendy said dangerously and pushed passed her walking out of the restroom.
Alice relaxed her back on the closet and breathed out loudly, why is this happening? did she really like Javier? Would she be able to take it with Wendy getting close to Javier?.
She doesn’t want to hurt her best friend neither does she want her best friend getting close to a man she have started falling For.
She heard the door opened and Zoe walked in looking mad.
“Why are you deceiving yourself with her?” Zoe asked seriously And Alice frowned staring at her.
“What are you talking about?” Alice asked and she sighed touching her hair.
“You know sometimes, we have to be selfish, that Is what makes us happy, don’t think of making her happy and hurting yourself” Zoe said and Alice swallowed, Zoe didn’t hear their conversation right?.
“You didn’t listen to our conversation right?” Alice asked And Zoe broke into a smile immediately.
“Of course not! A spirit just led me here to tell you these, see you around, but listen to my advice okay” Zoe bowed and rushed out.
Alice almost laughed,
“She is really ¢razy, am glad she didn’t listen to us then” Alice muttered and washed her face before walking out.
Zoe watched as Alice walked out, she didn’t really go out, she stood outside watching her,
“She looks strong on the outside but is really weak inside” Zoe muttered, she heard their conversation and wished she could rush in and pull Wendy’s hair.
She saw Pete walking and her eyes widened.
“Hey Pete!” She yelled and Pete who saw her started walking fast.
“Oh no” he muttered increasing his pace…
