THE CUTE KOREAN EX CONVICT: Episode 61 – The End

Episode 64

By: Eunice Nwodu Ifunanya

……Alex’s pov……..
My eyes fluttered open due to the pecking noise I heard on the window glass. I left the bed moving feebly to it.
Most times, I get sensitive while sleeping so I can’t go back to bed with so much pecking going on.

I pulled the window handles and found a little white bird there with a wrapped note attached to it.
Aww! So cute and lovely.

I carefully slipped out the note and read through it. This is from Lucas…
A good morning message.

I smiled.
He’s got a surprise for me too.
What in the world could Lucas possibly give me in order for me to like him back?

…..Rissa’s pov…….
He dropped the bottle on the table and took slow steps towards me.

“Good morning. I don’t know about you but I…I couldn’t sleep” He mumbled leaning against the table.

I didn’t respond and acted like he wasn’t there at all.

Last night is over and I’m not gonna shed tears concerning this again. It’s not worth it…
He can’t be worthy of my tears and thoughts.

“I’m sorry, Rissa. I’m very sorry for telling you everything so straight and hoarse without even giving you a chance to breath and take it all in. I was just so angry and I let the devil get the best of me. I just couldn’t control it but now I regret everything. I’m so sorry, Rissa. I didn’t mean to ask you to choose between your parents and me. I’m just…insane. I wish I can take back everything I said—”

“Even the truth?” I interrupted shallowly and his face tightened for a moment.

“I felt a burden been lifted last night. I felt a lot better than living in lies. The more lies that left my lips, the more hole it creates in my heart” He answered austerely.

“I’m going home, Mykel. I can’t do this anymore. I can’t keep being the fool every time. It’s agitating” I professed seething fervently.

“You’re not the fool – I am. I don’t even know what I’m doing with my life—-”

“You know, Mykel. You’re planning on killing my parents – that’s what your doing with your life and nothing and no one else matters to you. You’d rather kill than be killed. I won’t judge you anyway, I won’t until I speak with my parents” I stated begrudgingly with both arms folded.

“You don’t understand, Rissa. You always understand. Why can’t you understand things now??…”

I kept mute staring into space. I really need to talk to mom and dad and inform them what Mykel thinks of them and what he’s also planning to do.

Even if they killed Mr Caleb and his wife, I’ll never let Mykel hurt them.

Who In their right senses would??
They’re parents. I can’t choose to be an orphan.
How would life treat me? And I can’t sit back and watch someone destroy them when I can be able to do something to save them.

“Carissa??” He called gawking at me.
I took a deep breath and took steps away from him.

“Take me back to America, now!!” I demanded boldly and the expression of shock i was expecting wasn’t there at all.

“Not yet…” He whispered and placed his phone on his ear in form of answering a phone call.

His eyes were on me as he listened from the phone.

“Keep a close eye on them” He stated and brought down the phone.

“You don’t need to go back to your parents, Rissa. No need for the stress” He said turning around.

“What?! Why???” I queried from behind and I felt him smirk.

“They just arrived here in Korea few minutes ago…” He replied and my heart leaped.
Oh no!! What are they doing here???..
I hope they’re safe.

“If anything happens to my parents, I’ll never forgive you Mykel…” I threatened viciously and he turned around.

“Things are gonna get ugly soon but in all the same, I love you with all my heart and I’ll never be able to replace you because you’re very special to me, Rissa. And I’ll be back soon” He muttered before leaving…

This doesn’t change anything.
I’ll never let him hurt my parents…

….Leah’s pov……..
Korea is such a beautiful place. It’s been a while since I visited but here we are, at the airport waiting for our driver to return from the restroom so he can take us to the suit.

Edward has been busy making calls and texting his staffs. It seemed as urgent as possible.

I tried to keep myself busy by looking out window and staring at the pass-byers.
I suddenly noticed that four men were all putting on sunglasses. It’s normal but not too normal when there are losts of enemies.

One of them even had a little mic attached to his ear.
We are surrounded by spies!!!
