Episode 65

…….Leah’s pov……….
I panicked fervently as they started making phone calls.
There’s no doubt, I’m right!.
“Edward! There are spies out there. We need to leave this place!” I rasped, perplexed.
“What are you talking about? I didn’t tell anyone we were coming to Korea so how is a plot possible???” He hooted.
“Will you stop protesting and move this car?!! Don’t tell me, you don’t value your life!” I blasted and he jerked away from his seat that he was leaning on. The moment he tried getting to the front seat, the men rushed towards us and had us surrounded.
The door flung open and one of them raised his shirt coyly for us to see the gun there.
It meant two things – don’t panic and comply…
…..Rissa’s pov…….
I ran after him as fast as my legs could go. I won’t let him leave this place without me. I need to know what’s happening with my parents. What they’re going through at the moment. I tried opening the next door but it wouldn’t bulge.
He stopped in front of a car and opened up the door.
“Go back” He chided stepping into the car. I rushed towards him and sat on top of him.
“What the…Rissa!!! What are you doing?” He asked trying to get me off but I held on tightly to the steering wheel.
“I’m going with you and that’s final, you j.erk!” I yelled.
He chuckled and shut the door.
“Fine. Just get off me…” He groused and I lifted myself from him. I sat on the next seat immediately.
“You’re so heavy! What are you eating?” He grimaced turning the car on..
I kept mute and folded my hands together.
To hel.l with him and his rhetorical question.
I don’t know why I accepted to come here with Mykel!
But if I didn’t come, I wouldn’t find out his plots towards mom and dad.
I would just wake up to learn that they are dead.
“Why would mom and dad release you if they were responsible for your parents death?” I asked blandly and he sighed.
“They don’t want to be suspects. They’d forgotten me until after a few years. When they’ve seen that I’ll soon he eighteen years and have my parent’s wealth to sue them. But I don’t want to sue them…I’m in for the slaughter. Exact pain my mom and dad faced before death” He answered calmly.
I took in a deep breath and shook my head fervently.
It hurts that he actually have a point.
What if they were heartless enough to wipe out his family.
I won’t judge until I see mom and dad.
I’ve sealed this fact.
“Mr Frosh hates your parents too. I don’t know the beef he has with them but he’s very rue about it” He added and I arched my brows.
“Speaking of Mr Frosh or whatever he calls himself, he is the one who ordered for me to be raped that time I was kidnapped, right?” I asked clueless and something, dubious happened. The car suddenly screeched, almost throwing us off if the roof wasn’t there.
“Mykel!!!” I yelled dumbstruck.
Is he trying to kill me or what??
My heart pumped so loud like it would tear right out. I guess his too cause he look surprised and frustrated.
“I thought we agreed to forget about the rape. Why bring It up now???” He bickered and I huffed.
“So, I’m right then. You stupid boss wanted me to be raped. That explains why you magically appeared through the door to save me. It just didn’t add up then—”
“N-No, you don’t understand…that’s not what he was to me then. That was the first time I met him. In order to save you, I had to make a deal with him which I can’t escape till date. But at least, he was there for me when your father wasn’t” He jibed slowing down the pace of the car.
We were approaching a skyscraper with dark paints and a few range rovers at the compound.
“Whatever. You’ve already proved your stupid point by bombing two of his biggest companies” I chimed and opened the car the second it stopped.
I’m sure we are here.
At the disgusting man’s cave.
Mykel rushed out of the car and held me tightly.
“You need to be careful, there are land mines everywhere. It’d be better if I carried you” He whispered and before I could give him another line of insult, he grabbed me up from the floor and started going inside the building.
I was a bit scared of him dropping me.
I felt safe again but I’m sure it won’t last.
“Where’s boss?” Mykel asked a man mopping the floor.
“Up the roof – the mission was a success” The man replied driving his eyes around me.
“Why wouldn’t it be?” Mykel whispered and we went into the elevator. He brought me down and I flinched away from him immediately.
He pressed a button and it started going up.
“Let’s hope your parents are still alive when we get there” He muttered.
I tightened my fists reminiscing over his words.
I can’t be able to take seeing mom and dad dead.
I’ll die with them – that’s for sure.
Not my precious mom.
Not my overambitious dad.
Not any of this two!
We got to the roof and the elevator opened disclosing us.
Mom was sitting on the floor with dad right next to her.
Oh God! They’re alive!!
A plump man was sitting on a wooden chair holding a gun with another man standing at a distance.
The man sitting must be Mr Frosh…
He turned slowly and his eyes widened on seeing us.
“Why did you bring her here? I thought you said you’ll never step foot here until two weeks” He groused but Mykel didn’t say a word.
Dad stared in awe while mom was crying already.
“I came to supervise how the job went for my boys” Mykel replied and I’m surprised that our hands was still clasped together.
I just didn’t want go let go – I’m just scared!
“Hmm, alright. Do you have your gun?” He asked Mykel and he shook his head negatively.
“Well, since you don’t have it. You can use mine because it’s time to kill your enemies” He said and stretched the gun towards Mykel.
