I panicked as l gained consciousness and found myself in a dark room.
“Lonrenzo! Lonrenzo!” I called out loud.
“My necklace! Where is my necklace?”
“Here with me” an unfamilar voice said.
He came in and locked the door behind him.
“Give it back” l said and he smiled.
“Give if back” l yelled.
“It belongs to my senior, I won’t give it back” he said with a smirk.
“Who is your senior.”
“Lonrenzo” he replied.
It seems like he his enjoying this argument.
“Who are you? and where is lonrenzo?” I asked.
“My name is Finn and l don’t know about Lonrenzo’s whereabouts.”
“How did l end up here? Give me my necklace l need to find Lonrenzo”l said in an attempt to take it from him, but he held it firmly.
“No wonder Lonrenzo likes you, you are amusing” he said.
“My master set a barrier here and you can’t get out unless someone helps you.”
“Who is your master?”
“The firmament Teacher” he said and l gasped in fear.
“What does he want with me? Please let me go” l begged.
The firmament is a place where supernaturals with extraordinary powers go to learn and cultivate their inner powers, it’s said that firmament students are more powerful than several other supernaturals.
And before being taken as a firmament student, you have to pass through several tests, if the person fails, he/she would be sent home.
The firmament master is the third most respectable man in the whole of the five regions.
He is said to be very strict and powerful.
“Is Lonrenzo a firmament student?” I asked.
“He is our senior and teacher’s favorite” he replied and my eyes widened in surprise.
No wonder he is so powerful l thought.
“Please let me out of here, how did l get here? today is the third day of the treasure hunt, l need to participate.”
“I will let you out on one condition or should l rather say Lonrenzo said l should let you out on one condition.”
“Lonrenzo knew am here!” I asked surprised.
“Yes, he knew but teacher never knew Lonrenzo knew you are here.”
“Did he bring me here?”
“I didn’t come out of the treasure hunt in 2hrs aren’t l supposed to be Stucked there, how come am here?”
“Our teacher brought you here, according to Lonrenzo you fell unconscious after your seal was broken” he said.
“What seal are you talking about?”
“Oops am sorry, was just blabbing, l meant to say you fell unconscious after touching your treasure.”
“Where is my treasure?”l asked as l scanned the place with my eyes.
“Lonrenzo used magic to hide the treasure within you” he said.
“The treasure is within me, but l can’t find it.”
“They are onn there way here Clarissa! We don’t have time, Lonrenzo said l should let you out on one condition.”
“What condition? Who are those coming?”
“You have to use magic to bring out the magic turtle.”
“What!l don’t practice magic.”
“Try Clarissa, just think, try something, we don’t have time, l trust Lonrenzo there must be a reason for him to say so in this very critical situation.”
“I really don’t know how to” l said feebly.
” Hold my hands Clarissa, try to, imagine the magic turtle is with you, imagine that we disappeared from this place before they arrive.”
“Okay! Let me try.”
“You don’t have to say it out loud, you can imagine using your eyes or hands to move something, let’s start with that.”
“I want you to make that chair move.”
“How is that possible? I can’t.”
“You can Clarissa, feel that you can.”
“Concentrate on the chair and try moving it with your eyes” he instructed.
I have never felt this pressured, l will have to try, l can’t face the firmanent master, for whatever reason that made him brought me here, it’s not for good.
“They are here Clarissa” he said and l panicked and immediately the chair moved.
“I did it” l squealed.
“Keep your voice low, do you remember where you first saw Lonrenzo?” He asked.
“Yes! Why?”
“Hold my hands, Make us vanish and wish we are in that Cave you first met Lonrenzo” he said.
“But moving a chair doesn’t mean l can make us vanish.”
“Stop wavering Clarissa, do it now they are almost here, you don’t want to face our master right?”
“Yes l wouldn’t want that” l replied and closed my eyes.
I opened my eyes to find myself in the cave.
“I did it, l did it” l squealed.
“I now have super powers.”
“Stop squealing Clarissa, just pray nothing happens to Lonrenzo, master is going to punish him severely.”
“Why? What did he do?”l asked.
“That l can’t say, just be careful you can go to school now, whenever you are in danger protect yourself and get rid of the thought that you can’t do it.”
“Wait! How come l possess such powers suddenly” l asked.
“That l can’t say also, today is the third day of the treasure hunt make sure yo come back alive, that’s Lonrenzo’s message to you,l will leave now.”
Why can’t there be any peaceful moment in my life, why do l have to get a lot of people involved also?
Uncle Noah, Skylar, Maya, and now Lonrenzo, l wonder how they are faring.
I have to come out of the treasure hunt alive.
I can’t let uncle Noah’s expectations go to waste and that of my sister’s either and Lonrenzo.
I will definitely come out alive.
I stared at the magic turtle excitedly.
I hope l find another good treasure today.
How about l teleport to school?
What if l can’t?
I remembered Finn’s words get rid of the thought l can’t do it.
Yes l can do it l said and closed my eyes and found myself in the school premises.
Wow! I did it l squealed and turned around excitedly but paused as l saw several eyes staring at me wide eyed.
“Clarissa!” Miss Chloe called mouth agap.
Why are they acting like they saw the dead, did they really want me dead?
“Am sorry l came late Miss Chloe”l said but she kept gapping.
Same with the other students.
I scoffed and rolled my eyes in annoyance.
“Now pair yourselves” the teacher said.
They all ran to pair, while some where still staring at me wide eyed.
“Clarissa come with me” miss Chloe said.
“There is no time, miss Chloe” the teacher said.
“Hurry up and join the others” she added.
“Today marks it the third day and final round of the treasure hunt and as we all know the winner emerges today, so you all should put in your best.”
“Yes ma’am” we chorused.
“Let’s go.”
“Clarissa” someone called.
I turned to see Finn.
“Finn what are you doing here?”l asked surprised.
“You did it, good girl but you forgot this, he said and stretched it out to me.”
“My necklace!”
“Thanks Finn.”
“My pleasure miss Clary.”
“Go and make us proud.”
