I suddenly felt a stinging pain in my stomach as I wanted to kss her
I moved back and held unto my stomach
“What’s happening?” Hellen asked with a concerned look on her face
“I dunno…..my .. stomach is….. aching badly, it feels like I’m gonna die” I managed to answer and she held me, bl©©d started gushing out of my nose
“What!, Bl©©d!, You’re bl.eeding!, Stanley what’s happening?” She said shakily but I don’t have the strength to answer her again
? Hellen ?
He suddenly went limp and almost fell but I caught him
“Stanley!, Stan look at me you’re scaring me, Stan please you can’t be like this you need to stand up huh!” I said hurriedly but he’s not answering
I placed my ear on his chest and heard his faint breathing
“Garry!, Garry!” I called the driver and he rushed in
“Madam!”
“Please help him into the car he’s dying!” I said and heaped Stanley into his back, he carried him on his back and took him to the car, he was driven to the hospital, Steve hospitals is not far from the house
We got there and the nurses quickly brought a stretcher to take him in
Steve is not in the hospital but the other doctors worked on him in the theatre
I quickly called Elvira
?? Elvira please you need to come to Steve hospitals right now
?? Calm down and tell me what happened
?? It’s Stan, after eating the fruits salad I made for him with the fruits you brought, he started bleeding from the nose and he’s complaining of stomach ache at the same time, he fainted and his breathing is so low….
?? What!, I’m on my way
She hanged up and I started crying, what on Earth could he happening
Then Shortly after taking the call, I sighted Rihana rushing into the hospital with Governor beside her, did someone tell him already? I asked myself
Governor came directly to me and slapped me, I fell down
“How dare you!, How dare you plan with Elvira to poison my son!” He said harshly and my ears behaved like they’re not mine
I stared on unbelievably and he made to slap me again but someone held his hand, it’s Elvira, I didn’t even know when she entered
She helped me up and faced the Governor
“Now I need an explanation why you did this to her, Stanley is fighting for his life and all you can do is being harsh to her?, Are you even….
She didn’t get to finish her statement when the Governor slapped her too, she held her face in shock
“How dare you Elvira?!, How can you plan with this wench to poison your own brother just because I planned to hand over Gold empire to him” he said and my shock doubled
What in the world is this man saying
“What are you talking about?” Elvira asked in obvious shock
Rihana brought out a phone and played an audio where I and Elvira talked
ELVIRA’S VOICE: I just hate the fact that dad is gonna hand over the company to Stanley, why don’t you help me finish him so we can both have it to ourselves, you know if we kill him, dad will have no choice but to hand it over to me, and of course you’ll get your share
MY VOICE: I’ve been thinking of duping him but I don’t just know how to go about it, now that you brought this idea, I can’t possibly turn you down
ELVIRA’S VOICE: that’s my pinky, now take this
MY VOICE: what’s inside?
ELVIRA’S VOICE: strawberries, just make fruits salad for him with these, I already added poison, he’ll die like an hen
MY VOICE: nice one Elvira, can’t wait to swim in money
The audio ended and I can’t believe my ears, I and Elvira stared at each other in shock
“We never said any of those!” We said simultaneously
“Liars!, Then whose voice is in the audio huh, murderers!, If anything happens to my son, I’ll send you both to jail”
“Anyone who did this obviously fabricated our voices, we know nothing about this” I said in tears already
“Will you shut up!” Rihana said as the doctor came out of the theatre
“Luckily he was brought earlier, the poison has been flushed, he was poisoned” he said and my eyes widened
So he’s truly poisoned..
“We know, just take good care of him” Governor said
“He’ll be fine by tomorrow” doc said and left us
“Thank your Stars that he’s fine, but you won’t go scot free, Elvira, your punishment for doing this is disownment, I disown you as my daughter!” He said in anger
“Dad!, I said I’m innocent!” Elvira shouted
“I heard the audio very well so do well and don’t call me your dad as from today, your company, I’m seizing it, the cars I got for you, in seizing them, you can keep the cars you bought and your house”
“Dad!”
“Don’t Call me that again!, I’m not your dad!” He said angrily and faced me
“And you, vacate Stanley’s house Immediately and never come back, if you do, then I know what I can do to your hypertensive dad and your cousin, and don’t ever talk of having a relationship with him cos you never had one!” he threatened and went out angrily
I and Elvira broke down in tears
“Oh so you two know how to shed tears too, it’s wonderful watching you two cry” Rihana said in mockery but I guess we have no power left to fight her
Tyler, Helga and Steve rushed in
“What happened here?, Where’s Stanley?” Tyler asked, kneeling in front of Elvira
“Hellen, where’s Stanley?* Helga asked, kneeling beside me too
Steve just stared on with a look I can’t decipher on his face
“Stanley was poisoned and we were held responsible cos of a voice note, dad disowned me already” Elvira sobbed
“What!” They all exclaimed
“What voice note?” Tyler asked and Rihana played it again
“These are your voices” Tyler said with a confused look on his face
“Hellen, that’s definitely your voice” Helga said with same look
“I swear it, how can I plan such thing” I and Elvira said simultaneously
“This is serious” Steve said
“Where did you get the voice note?” Tyler asked Rihana
“Just few hours ago when Elvira went to give Hellen the apples, I was going to say hi to Stanley when I started hearing their voices, I eavesdropped and when I heard they were planning ev1l, I recorded and went to governor’s place straight” Rihana answered
I and Elvira spranged up at the same time
“You animal!, How long will you go to ruin me?, This is the storm you’re talking about the other time at the store right?” I said in tears
“What storm?, I never talked about any storm, so bounce” she replied
“Rihana, how low will you go” Elvira said in tears too
“The voices are your voices so don’t even try to deny it” she replied and I fell back on the floor, Helga placed her hand on my shoulder and pat me gently
Elvira paced around
“But the voices they are your voices…. Tyler said and Elvira faced him
“Tyler!, Don’t you trust me again?, How will I stoop so low to poisoning my own brother, my cupcake, how will I plan with pinky poison him, we just came back from our honeymoon today, this shouldn’t be happening” she said bitterly
“I’m sorry, just that…
“Don’t talk to me again!, Don’t talk to me!” She snapped and entered one of the washrooms
“Hellen, I trust you, I know you can’t do it” Helga said
“Thanks, I just can’t do this,Stan is my everything, I love him so much, he changed me, he changed my life completely, he took me out of my gloomy shell and turned me to a cheerful person, how can I do this to him?, Think about it, if I really did it then I wouldn’t have rushed him to the hospital” I said in tears
“You might change your mind cos you know there’s no way you won’t get caught” Rihana chipped in but Steve forcefully pulled her out and they left us
Tyler entered the washroom to meet Elvira while Helga consoled me
