THE MIRACLE I NEED : Episode 1 – 10
EPISODE 7
“Okay then. Friends with benefits it is.” She said with a wide smile.
“Your house or mine?” Kimberly asked as she tried to stand up.
“What? You want to leave already? Shouldn’t we at least catch up and get to know each other again?” Pete asked, slightly taken aback by her forwardness. If it was in the states, he wouldn’t have been so surprised since women over there were usually bold and even made moves on men themselves. But this was Africa. Nigeria for that matter, and the culture here positioned women to be timid. This one had probably stayed overseas for too long, and had let go of the normal african culture.
“We can always catch up after sx, can’t we?” She asked with a wink, and crooked her index finger forward, motioning for him to stand up.
Well, his thing definitely did stand up before him since it had a mind of its own.
“So, my house or your house?” Kimberly asked again as she brushed her hand on the bulge in front of his jeans.
“Yours.” Pete managed to say. It’s been too long since he last had sx, and Kimberly was driving him nuts.
“Okay then. Let’s take your car. I’ll have my driver pick mine up from here tomorrow.” Kimberly said as they walked outside and headed for the car park.
She smiled when she saw his car, ‘definitely my kind of man.’ she said to herself as they both got into the car. The moment they were seated she reached out and unzipped the fly of his tr®users.
“What are you doing?” Pete asked, his heart beating very heavily.
“Why don’t you focus your attention on the road while I focus mine on you?” She purred with a $ultry smile which only seemed to make Pete’s ere¢tion harden some more.
Pete swallowed, “I don’t think that is a good idea, Kim.”
“Okay, you can just park by the roadside for a qui¢kie.” Kimberly suggested as she dipped her hand into his b®xers and brought out his hot throbbing thing.
“I… I…” Pete swallowed as she flicked a tongue on the cap.
“You what? Are you going to drive or park?” Kimberly asked with a smile, enjoying every bit of his reaction.
“It’s late and unsafe.” Pete managed when he could finally find his voice.
“Okay then, keep your attention on the road.” Kimberly said as she started
“Kim…”
“Yeah?” Kimberly asked as she deep throated him.
“You really shouldn’t do that. We might get into an accident.” Pete pleaded.
“Okay, give me a moment to wrap up.” Kimberly said as she increased her pace.
Pete muttered and roughly parked the car by the roadside. Immediately he turned off the ignition he pulled Kimberly into his lap and covered her lips with his own.
“I’m so glad you’re wearing a gown.” Pete said as his hands went between her thlghs, “No un.dies?” He had noticed she hadn’t been wearing a b®a earlier, but had thought nothing of it, until he realized she wasn’t wearing a p.ant either.
“I was hoping we would do this, so I came prepared.” Kimberly said as she $traddled him.
“Hold on, we need a c®ndom.” Pete said.
“Sure. I got some for you.” She said as she reached into her handbag and took out a c®ndom.
Pete groaned when she started moving on top of him, and it wasn’t until they were done before it is occured to him that she would have had sx with him without a c®ndom had he not asked. She had even given him a blow job without knowing if he was healthy or had any sxually transmitted infection or disease. He was going to have to be very careful around this one, she was obviously very wild and careless. He briefly wondered if she had come prepared to have sx with him or if she had come prepared to go home with just anyone.

“You don’t have to leave yet, you know?” Kimberly asked with a pout when Pete stood up to dress up.
Pete sighed without turning to look at her. They had been having sx non-stop since they arrived at her house the previous night around eleven PM, and it was almost six in the morning already. There was only so much that a man could take, or do as the case applies.
“Come on,” Kimberly pleaded as she walked up to where he was stark nked, and embraced him from behind, nibbling on his ear lobes, one at a time.
“I need to get home before my daughter wakes up.” Pete explained wearily. Wasn’t she tired? At the rate she was going, he was going to slump if he got into the bed one more time with her. Even his poor thing was just as exhausted as he was.
“But the babysitter is home with her, isn’t she?” Kimberly asked, coming to stand in front of him and batting her eyelashes at him.
“I NEED to be home by the time she wakes up. This is her first time sleeping without me.” Pete said very slowly, as he tried not to lose his temper.
As though she sensed that he was getting angry, she moved away from him and returned to the bed. “Okay. So when do I see you again?” She asked sadly, making him suddenly feel guilty. He wasn’t a je.rk, and he definitely didn’t want her to feel like he had used her, so after wearing his shirt, he walked over to her corner of the bed.
“Why don’t we have lunch later in the day or maybe tomorrow and get to know each other? Now that we’ve done the benefit part, we should work on the friendship, don’t you think?” Pete asked, as he tucked her hair behind her ear, or rather her human hair weavon, since Nigerian girls, especially wealthy ones like Kimberly, hardly ever carried their own hair.
Kimberly bit her lips as she considered his request, “Okay then. If you say so.”
“I’ll give you a call later.” Pete said before picking up his car keys and leaving the house. He had no intention of going out with her again after the lunch date. Even though he wasn’t looking for a serious relationship, he also didn’t need to have sxual relationships with someone as careless as Kimberly was. It was probably best they remain just friends or acquaintances at best.
Kimberly didn’t make any move to see him out as he walked out of the bedroom. She took out a rechargeable shisha pen from her bag and took a puff. After her last sx scandal, her father had threatened to disown her if she failed to settle down before his next birthday, and she really needed to take someone like Pete home, to win her father’s favour again.

**********
Perhaps it was because she was passing the night in a new environment, Kathleen had found it very difficult falling asleep, and then less than an hour later, she had been woken up by the voice of Amanda crying for her dad. After feeding her, Amanda had pleaded with her to remain with her until she slept off, so Kathleen had sat on Pete’s bed humming random songs until Amanda dozed off.
She took her time to look around the very masculine bedroom before returning to her own room. After she tried going back to sleep all to no avail, she decided to just head to the living room and see a late night movie.
She dozed off halfway through the movie, and that was where she was, when Pete returned to the house that morning. He paused by the door in surprise when he heard the sound of the television, before seeing her sleeping at one end of the couch. He made a mental note to warn her about sleeping on the couch, and leaving the television on at such an ungodly hour. He considered waking her up, but wasn’t in the mood to talk, so he turned off the television and headed for his bedroom.

“Come on, don’t be like that. You have to tell me how it went down last night.” Ken insisted as he spoke with Pete over the phone.
“You should know me better than this, I don’t kss and tell.” Pete said with a chuckle.
“She wore you out, right? I’ve heard rumors that she is a sx maniac though.” Ken said with a dreamy sigh.
“Wait, what? She is a sx maniac? How did you know that?” Pete asked in alarm. No wonder she had almost killed him with her insatiable demand for more rounds of sx.
“I guess it’s true. She almost killed you, abi?” Ken asked with a chuckle,
“This isn’t even remotely funny. How did you know? Please don’t tell me she sleeps around? Wait, have you slept with her?” Pete asked, even though he already suspected that was the case.
“Nah, I’ve just never been in the same room with her until that day I saw her at the wedding, so when she asked after you, I figured I let you have her first.” Ken said with a regretful sigh.
“But everyone that frequents most of these top clubs in Lagos knows it sha. She picks different men up at the club, and fks them to her satisfaction. I even heard some of them run away when they see her now.” Ken said and bellowed with laughter at the thought of men running away from free sex.
“How could you hook me up with her if you know she’s a $lut?” Pete asked angrily.
“Chill bro. She nuh be ashawo. She only just has a huge appetite for sx. Besides I figured there was no harm in you having a taste of the national cake she was sharing around.” Ken said, still sounding amused.
“Can you even hear yourself right now? What if I had gone raw and probably contracted some sort of sxually transmitted infection or disease from her?”
“I’m sure you didn’t go raw. Tell me, was she really good? How sweet was she?” Ken asked curiously.
“If you weren’t my bestfriend, I would have come over to where you are and beat you to a pulp for asking me such a stupid question. How could you do something so careless?” Pete asked angrily, and disconnected the call before Ken could say anything else.
Kathleen who had been standing by the door trying to get his attention, cleared her throat, making him turn around to glare at her like she was the cause of his problems, “What?” He yelled at her.
“Breakfast is ready, and I’m ready to leave.” Kathleen said with a disapproving scowl on her face. Her mouth was itching to tell him how c®ndoms could only save him from sxually transmitted infections and diseases but not from he.ll.
“Are you deaf or you have a problem with your memory? I said you’re spending the god-dmned weekend!” Pete told her angrily.
“Do not speak to me in such a foul manner!” Kathleen hissed at him angrily.
“Or what? You would resign?” Pete asked with a sardonic smile.
“What exactly is your problem? First you stop me from going to my vigil because you wanted to fornicate, and now you’re being rude…”
“Need I remind you that I’m your boss and you have to watch the way you speak to me? Do you love your job?” Pete asked, narrowing his eyes at her angrily.
He wasn’t worth losing her job at the moment, Kathleen decided as she took in a deep breath, “Your breakfast is on the table, SIR!” She told him before storming inside the house. She would have to start seeking for employment in other places while still working for him. At the rate they were going, he was probably going to fire her soon since she was not going to stand idly and swallow his insults nor condone his immorality anymore.
THE MIRACLE I NEED : Episode 1 – 10
Pete took in a deep breath as he watched her storm into the house. One of the biggest problems he had was his quick temper and how easily he flared up, as well as how easy it was for him to always transfer aggression. He knew what he had said to her hadn’t been called for, but she had also been rude to him, so she did deserve it.
“Why are you not eating with us?” Pete asked when he got to the dining and saw Amanda eating already, while Kathleen seemed like she was busy in the kitchen.
“I wasn’t paid to eat with you, was I, sir?” She asked sarcastically.
“You weren’t paid to clean my kitchen or make breakfast for me either.” Pete reminded her.
Kathleen closed her eyes and took in a deep breath before dumping the napkin on the kitchen counter and taking off her apron, “My apologies then. I’ll just stick to making sure Amanda is okay.” She said as she took the seat beside Amanda, and pretended to watch her face intently as she ate.
“I didn’t mean to be rude.” Pete said in a barely audible voice.
“What’s your daddy saying? Who is he talking to?” Kathleen whispered to Amanda with a false confused expression while Amanda giggled.
“It wasn’t my intention to be rude to you. I’m sorry.” Pete said, deliberately ignoring her side comment.
Kathleen’s phone started ringing, so luckily she didn’t have to respond to Pete’s apology as she picked up her phone, “Excuse me.” She said as she walked away from the dining before taking the call.
“Babe…”
“How far? Hope your house wasn’t affected? I just dialed your number the moment I saw the news.” Sharon said before Kathleen could say a word.
“News? What news?” Kathleen asked in confusion.
“The fire outbreak in your neighborhood na. Abi you have moved from that place and I don’t know?” Sharon asked with a frown.
“Jesus! There was a fire outbreak in my neighborhood?” Kathleen asked in surprise.
“Wait o, you are not at home, are you? You know what? Just check the news and go home to confirm your house wasn’t affected. You will tell me where you spent the night later.” Sharon said and disconnected the call.
Kathleen quickly went on Twitter and gasped in shock when she saw that her street was trending on Twitter. No one knew how the fire had started, some said it was a gas explosion, others said it was a candle that caught on a curtain, and some others said it was an adulterated kerosene. It didn’t matter which, from the pictures she could see, her compound was affected.
“You can’t…”
“I’m leaving. I think there was a fire outbreak in my neighborhood, and I need to be certain my house wasn’t affected.” Kathleen said as she headed for the door.
“What? Fire? Wait!” Pete said as he quickly picked up his car keys and carried Amanda before hurrying after Kathleen who was already heading for the gate.
“Get in, I’ll take you home.” Pete offered.
“Why? So you can bring me back if we find out my house is okay? You always want to get things your way, don’t you?” Kathleen asked, with a disapproving frown on her face.
“I really don’t give a dmn what you think about me, just get into the dmn car.” Pete told her with a scowl as he buckled Amanda into her seat, while Kathleen got into the front passenger seat.
