‘What is happening here?!!’..I asked Nita and she shrugged her shoulders…
‘Seriously Lady Madison I don’t know,I don’t know what’s happening but one thing I know is that it isn’t good’…
Lord Arnold?!!..

‘Bow to your new King everyone,King Arnold Nepthar,the ruler of the great Egyptian empire!!’..Kyra shouted and every maid and guard bowed down in acknowledgement…
Including Nita!!!..
‘Nita what are you doing??’..I whispered…
‘I’m a servant Lady Madison in case you’ve forgotten and PK isn’t here so I don’t have any other choice’..she replied..
‘Bow to your new king Lady Madison’..Lord Arnold said and I laughed..
‘Is this a joke??,the only rightful king I know is my husband Prince Khalid Jeremy Nepthar and he’s the only king I’ll ever know,you’re just a counterfeit’..I said..
Kyra angrily walked over and the next thing I knew _she slapped me…
Hard across the face and pushed me to the ground..
‘You’re just lucky that I’m in a good mood Madison,just so you know your dear husband is nowhere to be found,I think he has run away so the new king is Arnold and you’re just a mere lady or should I say new servant!!!!’..she screamed and tears flowed down my cheeks…
If Khalid was around she wouldn’t dare do this..

I watched in tears as the grand Caliphate placed the crown on Lord Arnold’s head and saying the following words…
‘Since Prince Khalid is nowhere to be found and Prince Lai is still not of age to rule,the crown has been passed to the next person in line to the throne,Lord Arnold Nepthar’…
Everyone bowed except me and two guards pushed me to the ground forcefully…
A little bit of blood came out of my mouth and spat it out immediately…
The Grand Caliphate shook his head disgustingly and then I knew that he wasn’t happy with the situation…
After a moment Lord or should I say King Arnold opened his mouth and spoke…
‘Now that I am King my first decree is that Lady Madison would be str!pped of her title’..he said and everyone gasped…
‘Since her husband desecrated the Holy festival she has to pay the price for his abomination!!!,no maid or guard should address her as ‘Lady’ anymore,no one should help her get anything,she would work like a Maid and eat like a maid,all her clothes would be shredded to pieces and she would be given rags to Wear!!!,I have spoken’…
I slumped to the ground in tears and some of the maids present shook their head in pity..
‘You don’t deserve this Lady Madison’..Niro,a maid in the palace whispered and I smiled…
‘It’s okay Niro,I’ll be okay,I know Khalid would come back soon and all will be over’..I replied…

I cried bitterly as Lady Madison removed all her clothes and changed into a simple black dress…
‘You don’t deserve this Lady Madison’..I cried and she smiled…
‘You shouldn’t address me as Lady anymore,just call me Madison from now on,I’m no longer your princess’..she said but I shook my head…
‘No,you’re always my Princess,you’ll always be my princess if not for you I would have gotten a death sentence,you’re kind,pretty and everyone loves you in the palace’..
‘Yes Lady Madison’..I heard and when I turned around all the Maids and Guards stood around Lady Madison…
This is how people try to help when you’re a very kind person…
‘We won’t let anyone harm you in this palace Lady Madison,not even the king and we don’t Care if we get punished for it’..Reeshad said as he walked in…
Lady Madison cried and motioned for all of us to come together..
‘You guys are more than my servants,you guys are my family’..she muttered and we all hugged….
Kyra’s POV?

‘i can’t believe you’re finally King Arnold’..I muttered as I rummaged my hands around the golden throne..
‘Yeah I can’t believe I am King now I can finally get back at the people who treated me second to my brother’..he replied and I smiled…
Yeah he’s the king all thanks to me…
He’s not going to be king for long anyway…
I have great plans for this throne..
He’s just a puppet for now…
‘Uhhh Arnold can Madison be my personal Maid,I really want to make her suffer’..I asked..
‘You can do whatever you want with her Kyra,I don’t care about her anymore,she’s not a problem to me anymore’..

‘Lady Madison let me help you with that’..Niro said as she took the basket of fresh mint from my hands..
I smiled and sat down on the kitchen stool…
Even though I’m a regular maid now everyone still treats me with respect…
‘Reeshad please do you know where Khalid is??’..I asked.
‘I Don’t know Lady Madison,I seriously don’t know’..he said and walked away nervously…
I shrugged and bit my nails since I didn’t have anything else to do and before I could go back to my room Kyra came in…
‘Madison!!!!’..she screamed and I jolted from the stool…
‘Yes Kyra??’..
‘That’s Lady Kyra to you,you maid!!!’…she screamed and I nodded and my eyes became watery..
‘What do you want me to do??’..I asked..
‘i want you to l!ck my shoe Madison’..
