The pilot announced our taking off. I was extremely happy, having my best friend with me and attending an art exhibition where I can showcases my canvases is worth been happy for.
“Don’t you think you should talk to Kyle?” Melvin asked
I rolled my eyes
“Why should I?” I asked
“Because, he’s on this plane because of you!” He answered
I chuckled
“He’s on this plane because of Everlyn not me!” I answered back
“Nara, I think you’re acting like a baby, ignoring him” he said
“I told you not to call me that name!” I yelled at him
“Well, I will keep calling you that, until you act mature” he replied
Can’t he just understand?
“Melvin, when do you start acting this way?” I asked
“The very moment you try making me ignore him” he said
What?
“Look Melvin, mom wants us to get married which isn’t possible. This’s the only way” I replied
“Well I don’t think it is” he replied
“If you ask me, I think you look cute together and will make a great couple” he added
My eyes widen
“You’re joking right?” I asked
He chuckled
“Of course I’m not” he replied
I rolled my eyes
Seems they’ve succeeded in turning my friend against me and I know Everlyn will have a hand in this
“Everlyn asked you to do this?” I asked
“Nope. I just know you guys fits perfectly” he answered
“When did you begin to detect for me? Huh?” I asked angrily
He rolled his eyes
“Look Liyah, you’re not getting any younger. It’s high time you start taking responsibilities. If the Queen thinks, you both will make a good couple, I don’t see what’s wrong in it” he said
I rolled my eyes
I should have suspected!!!
The Queen!!
“You’ve no right to tell me what to do” I said
“I’ve got every right” he replied
I hissed
“You can go to hell” I yelled
“Well I guess we are off this conversation” he said
“Yes”
“I’ve over stayed my welcome then” he said
“You sure did” I replied angrily
He stood up and made to leave
“And where are you going?” I asked
“To the place I will be welcome” he answered walking away
I groaned
I watch him sit beside Kyle and in few minutes, they were laughing and chatting like they’ve known each other for long!
I rolled my eyes
I can’t believe my bff decides to join them instead of me!!!
I groaned
I can’t even paint freely, if I do Everlyn’s going to report me to dad and he will be so angry that I might end up in Frost or dragon.
Which’s not what I want now!!

You might be wondering why I acted that way. Well the King made me promise to make Liyah fall in love with Kyle before we return back to North Richland.
If you ask me, I think they will make a perfect couple. Their character fit so well. One is grumpy and the other is clumsy.
One is arrogant and the other is crazy. Perfect couples right?
The King believes they will make a perfect couple and I think so too. I agreed to make it happen. I don’t know how but I know I will try my best.
A lot of people have asked me, including the King, why I couldn’t end up with Liyah. You might also be wondering if I don’t love her or why I feel comfortable friend zoning myself instead of making advances at her.
Well I was once in love with her but I realised, Liyah wasn’t the kind of girl I can end up with or should i say, I am not the kind of guy she should end up with.
Liyah is very stubborn and wistful, she needed someone with a strong will. Who will say no and maintain his no? Not someone like me who will be at her beck and call.
She needed someone like Kyle and that’s why I will be helping them come together no matter what it takes.
As I walked past her, I heard her groan. I chuckled
“Hi Kyle” I said
He pull off his headphone
“Hi” he replied
“Melvin right?” He asked
I nodded
“Can I sit with you?” I asked
“Sure” he replied
I sat beside him
“You left your friend?” He asked
He chuckled
“Liyah can be so annoying” I replied
He smiled
“Annoying? You say annoying?, that girl is something else” he said
I chuckled
“You won’t believe the kind of make up she did the first day we met!” He added
I laughed
“She was looking like a mini dev1l” he said
I laughed and he joined me
“Liyah can be so funny” I answered
He nodded
“And clumsy!!” He replied
“But she can be the sweetest person if she wants to” I said
“That I can testify” he said
I smiled
We talked about random things, and I found out he has lots in common with Liyah which she doesn’t know
He’s not as bad as Liyah painted him to be!
“You mean you love to draw?” I asked surprised
He nodded
“You draw too?” He asked
“No, Liyah does” he said
“You’re serious?” He asked
“Yea, she never told you?” I asked
“No. We don’t even talk” he answered
I chuckled
Liyah and her troublesome nature
“Why don’t you tell her you draw?” I asked
“Because, I don’t think it’s necessary” he replied
“I will show you some of my art work” he added
I know he’s trying to change the topic
He picked his phone and scroll through some pictures. He kept explaining what each picture meant until I caught sight of a girl. She looks cute.
He made to scroll pass it but I stopped him
“Who is she?” I asked
He smiled
“My gf” he answered
Wow!!
He’s got good eyes
“She’s cute” I said sincerely
He nodded
We were still talking when Liyah stomped angrily to my side
I chuckled
“Mel” she called but I ignore her
I knew she was going to come!!
She can’t just sit and watch me chat with Kyle!!!
“Mel” she yelled
I chuckled
“What?” I asked
“You’re asking what?” She asked
“Sure. You told me i’ve overstayed my welcome” I replied
“I was just joking” she cooed
I rolled my eyes
“I didn’t see that as a joke” I replied
She chuckled
“Come on let’s go” she said
I chuckled
“You can either join us or you go” I replied
“Mel” she cooed
“I don’t want to sit here” she said
“Then you can leave” I replied
She rolled her eyes and finally sit down
I chuckled
I know she will definitely sit down. She can’t sit there and watch someone else take her bff from her!!
??Kyle??
I watch her talk to Melvin, she seems to be angry but doesn’t want to show it. When he finally made her sit down.
She glare at me and I chuckled
“Where were we?” Melvin asked
He winked at me and I knew immediately, he was up to something or should I say some mischief.
I chuckled
“You were saying something about my girlfriend” I replied
“Y….you have a girlfriend?” She asked stuttering slightly
“Yes, what do you expect?” Melvin answered
She rolled her eyes
“I wasn’t talking to you” she answered
“Yes I do have a girlfriend, a cute one at that” I replied proudly
She rolled her eyes and I chuckled
“Whatever” she replied
“Someone’s jealous” Melvin said
I chuckled
She can’t be jealous!!
“I’m not” she replied
“You’re” he said
“I’m not” she yelled
He chuckled
“If you’re not, then see her picture” he replied
She rolled her eyes
“I don’t want to” she answered
“You don’t want to or you’re afraid she’s cuter than you are?” He asked
As I watch them argue, I noticed she wasn’t a bit angry with what he’s been saying
“No wonder they’re bff” I thought
He knows how to talk to her without getting her angry.
“Ok, let me see” I heard her say
I chuckled
He took my phone from me and scroll down to the picture.
“Take” he said
She looked at it and groaned
He chuckled
“She’s cuter right?” He asked
She rolled her eyes and hissed
“I know her, she was my nightmare at college” she answered
Nightmare?
What does she mean?
“What do you mean?” He asked
“Remember the girl I told you about? Gabrielle?” She said
Calling her by her name means she really do know her
“Oh, the one who competes with you in everything?” He asked
She nodded
He muttered an ‘oh’
She said something I couldn’t process!!
“Don’t you think you should take her boyfriend from her. To show her who the real boss is” he said
She rolled her eyes
“I don’t need to do that” she replied
I chuckled
“You need to do it” he replied
“You guys even look good together” he added
She rolled her eyes
“Stop” she said
He chuckled
“Ok” he replied raising his hands up
I smlied
Nice one!
I think I know the perfect way to get back at her!!
I will invite Gabrielle to Everlyn’s wedding!!
With that, I will get back at her for lying and hiding her identity!!!
I can’t wait to see two girls fight!!!
I can’t wait to see how jealous she will be?!!!
They kept arguing and arguing until the pilot announced our landing.
She stood up and went back to her seat.
I chuckled
What’s the difference between sitting here when landing and sitting there
“She can be so troublesome” Melvin whispered
I chuckled
He doesn’t need to tell me
To me, she’s always troublesome!!!
