I bent my head and sobbed for some time and he touched my palm
“Thank you” I said tearfully and stood up.
I stared at him for a short time and he prodded me to go and I finally ran away.
I ran as fast as my injured legs could carry me and just as I got to the fence, I heard numerous gunshots from the direction Jeremy was in.
Oh, God!
What has happened to him?
Please save him.
With tears still running down my cheeks, I climbed the fence and successfully got outside.
I started running and prayed I get to see Mico soon because my systems were already turning.
I wasn’t sure how much longer I’d be able to bear it.
I kept running and finally got to the road, but there was no sign of cars anywhere.
When do I get to the junction?
After a while, I finally stopped running because my legs couldn’t carry me anymore.
My entire body was hurting and I could feel some bloodstains on me.
I tried dragging my feet, but couldn’t move faster than a snail.
I bent and placed my hands on my knees and the only thing that prevented me from falling at that moment was hope.
Just then, a flashlight from a car almost blinded my eyes and I looked ahead and saw a car driving towards my direction.
I was already gasping for breath and couldn’t move. But I could tell the car looked familiar.
The car stopped in front of me and the driver rushed out.
It was Mico!
I gathered up the last strength in me and dragged myself to where he was as he also came to me.
He looked shocked and left his mouth wide a gaped.
“Mico…” I called weakly and fell into his hands.
“Alyssa?” He called in shock as he stared into my face.
I could see tears into his eyes.
“What have they done to you?” he asked, his voice breaking and I smiled faintly and touched his cheek.
My eyes were beginning to close.
“Who did this to you!” He yelled tearfully.
And finally, I passed out.
