L-DESIGNS**
Jade gasped loudly as she slowly began turning red…
? What’s happening here?
? Oh no… Boss is gonna kill her
? Why is boss so angry?
“Please…you’re hur…hurting me. Logan…” Jade managed to say but all that landed on deaf ears.
“Logan?!” Kristina exclaimed when she saw what was happening.
She quickly got down the stage and then rushed to them and held Logan’s hand.
“Logan, you’ll choke her” Kristina said.
“It’s better. I hate when people abuse of my modesty” Logan snapped.
“Please babe” Kristina begged.
Logan looked at her for a while and then sighed, slowly releasing her. Jade fell on the floor, coughing boisterously.
“This is just phase one of your punishment” Logan muttered, staring angrily at Jade who was trying to regain her breath.
“What’s happening here” Kristina asked, totally lost.
“This thing there is the one who trapped me.” Logan said, pointing at Jade.
Logan then narrated all what Maude told him without leaving out any details. Kristina diverted her gaze to Jade who was still sitting on the floor staring dumbfounded at them.
Kristina slowly walked to her and in the next second, her hand flew right to her cheek and a resounding sIap followed.
Jade held her cheek staring at Kristina. For the first time, she didn’t know what to say.
“B*tch. Why did you do it? Coz of jealousy, envy?” Kristina slapped her again and then held her jaw, adding pressure on it.
“You can’t understand!! Ever since you came to this industry it’s always you. You stole my fame, popularity, and you stole Logan from me!!” Jade yelled.
“You’re just an idiòt” Kristina said and released her harshly.
“You already know what will happen to you right? You’re fired and you’re also arrested for kidnappings” Logan said and held Kristina’s hand then kssed the back of it.
“No matter how much you dream, you’ll never take the place of Kristina. Stick that into your stvpid skull” Logan said.
“Security! Take her out, the police are waiting for her” Logan said.
Two men walked to Jade and grabbed her on both arms then began pulling her to the exit…
“No! I’m sorry boss, I’m sorry Logan!! Please I can’t go to jail… Please!!” Jade screamed as she was been pulled away.
Logan took a deep breath in order to calm himself down. The workers were still under shock.
They just couldn’t believe that Jade could be able to what she did. They believed and trusted her so much. This is just like a huge slap to their faces…

BAXTER’S VILLA**
“Welcome back home my Emery” He said, tears could be seen brimming at the corner of her eyes.
Emery smiled happily and rushed upstairs to him before jumping in his arms, hugging him tight.
“For so long I’ve been wishing to have a family. Finally my wish has been answered.” Emery smiled out tears.
“Me too, you can’t imagine all the stress I went through just to find you. Finally my prayer has been answered” Mr Baxter said.
“I promise I’ll be the best daughter dad” She said.
Just by the sound of ‘dad’, Mr Baxter was overjoyed. They broke the hug and he simply smiled at her before they held hands. They walked in the house afterwards…
“So tell me how did your life looked like before this. I wanna know everything about my baby” Mr Baxter said.
“Well my name is Joanna. I live with my aunt, well she adopted me. We live in a farm with so many hectares. I had many friends there too till one of your guards came to me and took me here. Till now I’m still shocked that I usually think it’s hard to breathe” Emery said in a go.
Mr Baxter chuckled, seeing how talkative Emery can be.
“Come let me show you around” Mr Baxter said, holding her hand and they walked in.

“Babe, how does this dress look on me?” Valentina asked, checking one of the dresses out..
“Looks good on you” Ricardo replied without looking at her. He was instead busy on his phone.
“But don’t you think it’s kinda short” Valentina asked
Ricardo sighed and looked at her. She was wearing a navy blue short clingy gown.
“Well not at all. It brings out those curves and makes you look more elegant and sxy at the same time” Ricardo smiled.
“Okay, then guess I’ll take this one” Valentina went in to change back to her normal wear.
Well they actually came to pay a visit to Logan and Kristina and took the opportunity to shop for some clothes for Valentina.
Valentina put the clothes she selected in a bag and went to the counter to pay.
“No, no need. Mr CEO said we serve you whatever you both wish for free of charge” The lady said.
“Oh okay, thanks” Valentina smiled and walked back to Ricardo who was still in his phone.
Valentina frowned and snatched Ricardo’s phone from him.
“I don’t like it when you don’t pay attention to me. Makes me feel useless” Valentina pouted.
Ricardo smiled and held her hand then made her sit on him. He tugged a piece of her hair behind her ear and kssed her cheek making cute faces.
“Stop that, you look like a penguin” Valentina laughed.
“Me..?!” Ricardo gasped.
“How’s the couple of the year doing?” Kristina said walking to them with logan behind her.
“Tina!?” Valentina exclaimed and stood up from Ricardo then went to hug Kristina.
“Bro” Logan hugged Ricardo who was now standing.
“Hope everyone is ready? Come let’s go for the double date” Kristina said.
They all walked out of the company while chatting and laughing.

“C’mon, just skip today’s work. Just for today” Gavin said as Iris and him where walking to Iris’s workplace.
“Babe you know I can’t, don’t want trouble with my boss” Iris said, playing with the necklace round his neck.
“But I’m kinda your boss so…”
“Babe…” Iris drawled, eyeing him.
“Okay okay. Though I kinda love the way you call me ‘babe'” Gavin smirked.
“Should i stop?”
“What? No way!! Love it” Gavin smiled and pecked her cheek.
Iris looked at him and then chuckled.
“Me too”
Gavin’s phone suddenly began ringing. Gavin sighed when he saw it was his father. He slowly picked up…
“Dad. .”
He kept quiet as he listened to what he was saying.
“Oh okay…” Gavin replied reluctantly.
He slowly hung up with a frown on his face. Iris couldn’t help but notice the sudden mood swing.
“What’s wrong? Why the sudden mood change?” Iris asked…
“Nothing, think we’ll just push our date at my secret spot tomorrow. My dad wants me to come home early coz we’ll be having a meeting or something” Gavin said.
“Well okay, there’s no problem” Iris smiled.
Gavin smiled back too and kssed her forehead before continuing their walk.

THE BAXTER’S VILLA**
The car stopped in front of the house and the guard went to open the car. Before he can even open, it opened and Charlotte rushed down the car.
It eventually hit the driver’s face
“Sorry” She muttered while running in.
She was just so excited to see the big surprise that her father promised her.
? Welcome back Miss
? How was school?
She simply waved at the maids and ran pass them. Well she’s the only cheerful soul in the house and a day spent without her makes life boring at the villa…
Charlotte opened a door and went in then stopped abruptly, breathing heavily.
“Dad, I’m here. Where’s my surprise?” Charlotte said, breathing heavily while darting her eyes round the room.
Mr Baxter smiled when he saw Charlotte. He looked at Emery who was sitting near him and smiled too at her.
“Here’s your surprise” Mr Baxter said gesturing at Emery.
Charlotte looked at Emery and furrowed her brows.
“Charl, here’s Emery my long lost daughter” Mr Baxter gestured at Emery.
“Emery that’s Charlotte my adopted daughter. She’s just like a daughter to me” Mr Baxter said.
Charlotte gasped. She squealed as she jumped feeling so happy. She rushed to them and hugged Emery tightly.
“I can’t believe they finally found you. Finally I have a big sister!! I’m so happy…” Charlotte said.
Emery smiled and hugged Charlotte back too, feeling so happy to have a family who loves her.
“I can’t wait too sis… Let’s catch up all the lost moments” Emery smiled
Charlotte nodded, fighting back her tears. She was feeling so emotional…

NIGHT, THE WHITE HOUSE**
Gavin slowly walked in his house with his headset on, busy on his phone. He made to walk to the stairs but stopped as something caught his attention.
He removed his headset and frowned more as he saw his parents with an unknown man and a girl discussing while laughing.
“Do you know them?” Kimberly asked coming downstairs.
Gavin slowly shook his head. He thought they were having a family meeting.
“It’s not my business” He thought and shrugged before going upstairs to his room.
He took a quick bath and then changed into something casual before coming downstairs. He went straight to the dining room.
“Good evening mom and dad” Gavin greeted once he got in with his hands in his pocket.
“Morning son, come have a seat” Mr Robinson smiled.
Gavin nodded and then took a seat beside Kimberly.
“Hi Gavin” Charlotte said.
He smiled and waved at her. He didn’t even notice her, could it be her family?
“So Gavin meet Emery,, Emery meet my son Gavin” Mr Robinson presented
“Hi” Emery smiled.
Gavin smiled back in return. Emery couldn’t just help but stare at him. Right now she was just too shocked to the bones.
Her father told her that she was betrothed and that they’ll go visit them tonight but never in her dreams could she have believed that it was to the president’s son…
He was even more handsome than on photo and TV and when he smiled at her, her heart couldn’t help but palpitate.
Dinner was served at them and they began eating while discussing.
“So you say you’re 17?” Kimberly asked.
Emery nodded with a smile while chewing on her food.
“My former name was Joanna but I prefer Emery” She smiled.
“Your former name? How come?” Kimberly asked.
“She’s my lost long sister” Charlotte smiled.
“Oh really?” Kimberly exclaimed.
Gavin just ate his food in silence and all through, Emery couldn’t help but peek at him.
“So let’s dive into business. Gavin meet Me Baxter, the head of the most powerful clan in the country and most importantly your father in law” Mr Robinson said.
Gavin abruptly stopped eating. So this was what it was all about right? And that girl there she’s the one…
Gavin immediately stood up as his facial expression changed.
“This marriage is just an illusion. I’m not getting married and you can’t force me” Gavin said coldly and left the dining room immediately.
The rest just stared at themselves in bewilderment.
