CHAPTER 33
We all set down our backpacks and set camp.

“Wake up everybody” I screamed at them.
They all sprang up.
“What is it, are we being attacked,oh my God, Aaaahhh” Kira screamed as she ran off to God knows where. Michael ran after her, trying to call her back while the rest of us laughed our hearts out.
“Where did this girl come from” Ricky asked while laughing.
“She’s so funny” Dad added.
Michael carried her back.
“Why would you scream like that?” Kira yelled at me as Michael set her down.
“You guys are deep sleepers so i thought….”
“You thought? Couldn’t you have just tapped us?” She complained. “I could have fallen off this cliff down to that valley, did you ever think about that” she fired at me.
“Well I didn’t know that your fear is like a ticking bomb” I mumbled.
“Get it?” Bathny asked her with an amused smile. “Cause you actually exploded” she added.
“Yea, I get it” Kira snapped at her with an eye roll.
“You scamppered off like a missile shot from china to London” Dave added.
“I said I get it” Kira fired at him.
“I just wanted to paint a picture of what you looked like when you ran off”
“David Hathaway” she screamed at him.
“Mmmh” David answered.
“Was I speaking french when I said I get it? I GET IT!!” She screamed.
“Jeez, you are being uneccessarily loud” Ruby complained.
“Idi*t” Kira snapped at him.
“What is it?” I heard dave asking Kiwi. I turned to her, she was holding her stomach.
“I’m hungry” she mumbled.
“That’s not surprising, we had nothing last night” Henry stated.
“And there’s also nothing to eat right now, except water” dad added.
“Well let’s quickly go down to the temple, return the book, fix the curse and go back to the village and eat before finding our way home” mum suggested.
“Have you forgotten we snuck out of the village with the help of the dragon lord, if we go back there and they see us, they’ll insist that we continue out jail term” dad stated.
“Then we sneak in and sneak out” Ricky whispered.
“Why are we whispering?” Dad asked him and he shrugged, dad Palmed his face. “You have a problem” he said to Ricky, Ricky eyed him.
“Uhm, I think we have a bigger problem to worry about, like where the h*ll is Salvador and his men?” Henry asked.
We all looked around and didn’t see him.
“Fvck that ba$tard, after all my warnings, he still wants to steal golds from the temple” mum barked in anger. “We have to leave, if he touches any precious Stone, the dragon will wake up in anger and destroy the temple, he will fly away probably and that’s bye bye to returning the book and lifting the curse” she added.
“And there will be no home to return to cause he will probably destroy cities and countries cause of corruption and evil” Ricky added.
“Then we better catch up with him before he gets there” dad snapped and ran off.
“I can’t go, I’ll faint” Kiwi complained.
“Kiwi you can do this, I promise when we get to the city down the valley, I’ll look for some fruits for you” I assured her.
“You will?” She asked and I nodded.
She made to get up but she fell down, Dave and Ruby ran to her. Dave wanted to carry her up but he looked up and saw Ruby staring at them.
“Boys come on, we don’t have time” I called out to them, mum nudged me, we both giggled, but deep down I was seriously praying for David to back away and he did. Ruby piggy backed Kiwi and we joined the rest in running, we finally met up with dad.
“What took you guys so long?” He asked as he jogged down the valley, I guess he was waiting for us cause I know he’s a fast runner, we wouldn’t have met up with him if he was running like his normal self.
“We had a situation to settle” mum answered and winked at me. I blushed, dad stared at us in confusion but later shrugged and continued jogging while the rest of us were actually running to keep up with him.
“He’s such a fast runner” dave said to me.
“He’s not even running” Mum, Bathny and I said in unison and we laughed.

We finally entered the abandoned city, I looked around for fruits to give to Kiwi, luckily I saw an apple tree.
“Hey, you guys can go on, I need to pluck some apples for Kiwi” I informed them.
“Marichuiy you can’t go alone, I’ll go with you” mum stated.
“No mum, I’ll be fine” I insisted.
“Marichuiy…”
“I’ll go with her” dave offered.
“Me too” Bathny added.
“We will wait for you guys here” Ruby said, he sat Kiwi down in front of what looked like it used to be a bar.
Kiwi leaned her head on his shoulder, she really looks hungry and tired.
Well what of others, we all look like we could eat a full horse right about now.
Michael and Kira sat beside them.
“Ok, you guys be careful” mum instructed. She, dad and Ricky ran off towards the temple.
Dave, Bathny, Henry And I walked to the apple tree.
“So when are you guys gonna sort your situatioonship?” Henry asked, Bathny giggled.
“Huh?” I asked him, pretending not to know what he’s talking about.
“That question should actually be directed to you both” Dave replied referring to Henry and Bathny, it was my turn to giggle and I did.
Bathny ignored the question and continued plucking apples.
“Someone is acting deaf” David mocked her.
“OK, fine, we will sort it out now” Henry replied, I thought he was joking but instead he dropped the apples he plucked on the floor and walked up to Bathny.
“What are you doing?” Bathny asked him. Crazy girl, as if that’s not what she has always wanted.
“Bathny, I like you, I really really like like you ever since 5th grade, you are smart, cool, confidence, you are bold, and you are so beautiful, I couldn’t bring myself to confess to you cause I felt like you’d probably reject me, you’ve never dated any guy in our school so I thought you wouldn’t want me.” He confessed, Bathny looked so shocked.
“You said you were a gay….” She asked.
“I did, but that didn’t change how I felt about you” he stated.
“I thought you hated me, you always fight me” Bathny complained.
“I was scared of being close to you, I might do something crazy and you would hate me” Henry blurted out.
“Do it” Bathny snapped.
“Huh?” Henry asked.
“You said you’d do something crazy, do it” Bathny winked at him.
Henry walked really closer to her, he wrapped his hand around her waist and drew her into his body and engulfed her in a passionate kss.
“Wow” I heard Michael’s voice, Dave and I turned and saw Michael and Kira standing at a corner. I thought they were with Ruby and Kiwi.
“I saw this coming” Kira stated.
“Finally, naughty people” Michael commented.
Henry and Bathny finally disengaged, they giggled a bit and then turned to dave and I, my heart skipped.
“Guys, we gotta go” Michael informed us.
“Yea, Kiwi’s condition is not looking good at all” Kira added.
Thank God. I breathed in a sigh of relief, Dave looked at me, I blushed, I guess he can see through me.
Bathny and I gathered the apples and walked back to the street, we got to the building where we left Ruby and Kiwi, she was now lying on his laps with her eyes closed, I got scared. I ran to her.
“Kiwi, wake up, we brought apples for you” I shook her a little, she flicked her eyes open. Ruby managed to lift Her up.
I brought out my water bottle and washed three apples, I gave her one, she ate it gently, after that her eyes opened clearly.
“Hey guys” she mumbled.
“Oh thank God” Bathny breathed out.
I gave her the other two apples, she ate them gently while I shared the remaining ones amongst us.

After eating the apples, we drank some water.
“How do you feel now” Ruby asked Kiwi.
“Kinda great, where are the rest” she asked.
“Damn, you really went to hunger town” Kira muttered and we laughed including Kiwi.
“Salvador ran off with his men to steal golds from the temple, so mum, dad and Ricky went to stop him, while we decided to solve your hunger issue” I explained to her.
“Also, Bathny and Henry are officially a couple now” Kira blurted out.
“Wow, I really missed a lot” she muttered.
“Let’s go before they start getting worried” David snapped at us.
We stood up and continued our journey, Ruby held Kiwi as we walked.
