Henry sat on his bed, while Jade paced to and fro in front of him..they seemed to be waiting for something.
Henry checked his phone for the hundredth time, finally it rang..he quickly answered it.
“Mr O’Briens, it’s done…they crashed”
Henry’s lips curved in a smirk.
“I want a clean job done, is your news legit?”
“Yes, sir, I watched the jet burn down completely..check your email, I’ve sent you a photo”
Henry nodded in satisfaction.
“Good!” He ended the call and quickly checked his email.
His smirk grew larger as he stared at the photo, he showed it to Jade.
“See?”
Jade frowned.
“But what about my husband? Our deal wasn’t to get him killed…I just wanted to get rid of Jasmine”
Henry looked at him, from her head to toe.
“You can just be my wife, after all, I’ll be the only heir after we get rid of their bast*td too”
“What?! But that’s not our deal, we…”
“Deal can change anytime” he said.
“You…” Jade glared at him. “I shouldn’t have trusted you.. I’ll do things on my own”
“What can you do? He’s dead”
She shook her head.
“I’ll see his body to confirm!” Then she stormed out.
Henry scoffed and shook his head.
“Who can survive this?” He wondered.

Adele’s pov ?
I can’t bring myself to believe it, I just can’t believe what Clark just told me.
“It’s a lie! It’s a lie!” I shook my head in disbelief.
Clark’s phone fell off my hand, but he caught it before it could reached the ground.
“It’s not true! I don’t believe you!”
He bite his lower lip worriedly.
“I don’t wanna believe it too, but I’m afraid that’s the truth.. they really crashed”
I snatched his phone and viewed the photo again, I brought the phone impossibly closer to my eyes.
“We can’t be sure this is them, they can’t just crash like that”
I’m in denial, no matter how hard I tried to deny it.. it’s a fact that they crashed.
“It’s them” Clark said.
My eyes scanned the living room, searching for nothing in particular.. until they landed on Davis, he’s still crying.
“Momma.. momma..”
Now I understand why he’s being having a fever recently.. he was just having this bad feeling.
His instincts must have been telling him that something’s wrong.. Clark was right.
“Jasmine…”
I couldn’t hold back my tears anymore, the tears I’ve been fighting to hold back freely ran down my cheeks.
“Clark.. tell me this is not true.. tell me I’m dreaming..” I cried.
I glared at the phone in his hand, as if it committed an unforgivable sin.. after all, we got the news from that phone.
“.. wake me up, Jasmine.. all her plans for Davis…”
Talking about Davis, I carried him in my arms and cradled.. he’s such a pitiful little boy.
“.. what’s gonna happen to Davis.. you can’t believe all the plans Jasmine’s made for her son.. now she won’t be able to..”
“Adele” Clark called me.
He crouched down to our level, he wiped my tears but fresh ones rushed down again.
“Let’s not cry yet, let’s not just stay here and assume the worst.. or jump into conclusions” he said.
My wailing calmed down and reduced to sobs, i rest my chin on Davis’s head as I listened to him.
“What we should do now, is locate where their jet crashed.. who knows we might still have time to rescue them..”
I nodded quickly, he’s right, we should look for them and save them.. they might just be seriously injured.
“.. or we can also wait for the rescue team to rescue them”
I glared at him for saying that, my eyes narrowed at once.
“Rescue team? What if they crashed in a typical forest? Will the rescue team arrive there in time?”
He gave me a “what the hell” look.
“Er.. the rescue team can’t do a better job, then who can.. you?”
His words makes sense, besides the rescue team will do a better job in locating them.
“Do what you wanna do, just make sure they’re rescued in time… ”
“Who needs rescuing?” Jasmine?
I lifted my head slowly and turned towards the door, my mouth hanged open and my lips curved into a smile… joyful tears started rolling down my eyes.
“Momma!” Davis yelled.
He jumped off my arms and ran to his mother, Jasmine crouched down and spread her arms.. Davis jumped in her arms.
She hugged him tightly and started peppering kisses all over his face, Davis giggled happily.
“Momma has missed you so much, did you miss momma too?” She asked him.
“Yes, yes, yes.. I miss momma so mucccch” he emphasized on much.
Jasmine chuckled.
She got up with him in her arms and walked towards the sofa I sat on, she sat on the sofa next to me.
“J-jasmine, you’re alive?” I asked, as if I’m hallucinating.
“Why shouldn’t I be alive?” She asked me back with a small frown.
I passed Clark a questioning look, he shrugged and stared at his phone… totally confused.
“You.. didn’t you guys crash?” Clark asked.
“Crash?”
We both nodded.
“Nope!” She replied.
I looked at Clark again and we both cast our gaze on his phone, I can swear we’re both thinking the same right now.
who the he¢k sent him that message?
Not satisfied with her answer, I walked around her to check if there are any injuries.. but there are none.
“If you didn’t crash, then where’s Thanatos?” I asked.
Clark is just standing with his mouth open, I guess he’s still quite shock by what just happened.
“Oh, Peter will push him in soon” she replied.
“Push him in?” Clark and I asked at once.
She smirked.
“He got himself crippled, don’t ask me how.. it’s a very long story” she said.
Immediately she said that, the door pushed open and Peter pushed Thanatos in, on a wheelchair.
“Hey fellas!” Thanatos greeted Clark and I.
Clark scoffed.
“What’s going on man? You’ve got everyone worrying.. what happened… I heard your jet crashed, but why are you here unharmed?” Clark bombarded him with questions.
Peter pushed Thanatos closer to Jasmine and Davis, he reached for Davis’s hand and kssed it.
“Thana, say something, do you know how anxious we were?” He’s getting impatient.

Jasmine’s pov ?
Adele and Clark stared at us, anxiously waiting for either of us to speak.
Clark narrowed his eyes, he seemed as though he’s ready to explode on Thanatos.
He’s really worried about us, before Thanatos could start his explanation, I started.
“Clark, it happened like this…”
“Wait..” Thanatos cut me off. “.. don’t tell me you were aware of everything”
I arched an eyebrow at him.
“What do you think?” I turned back to Adele and Clark. “So…”
Flash_back
After I stormed away from Tim in a fit of anger, I headed straight for Thanatos ward.
I took a curve, just a few meters away from Thanatos ward.. I overheard two familiar voices speak.
*… don’t worry, everything is working according to our plan* Henry?
*But your grandfather said we shouldn’t strike yet, don’t you think this is us being impulsive?* And Jade?
What are these two people planning to do? It must be something evil..
I gasped quietly and my hand flew to my mouth, when a thought suddenly crossed my mind.
Could be they are planning to do something bad to my son?! Davis… he’s the heir and that makes him their target!
What should I do? I can’t confront them like this, it’s just gonna make things worst.
Maybe I should just continue listening.. yeah, that’s the best I can do. I should listen and also record their conversation.
Later I can replay it for Thanatos and he’ll know what to do.
With that thought in mind, I hide in a corner and reached for my phone.. I searched for the recorder app and started it.
*… but this plan will only kill the parents, what about the ba$tard child?*
My eyes grew wide at Jade’s question, my hand quickly covered my mouth to prevent any sound from coming out.
Jade.. she’s planning to kill me. Is her hatred for me really that strong?
*If we can get rid of the parents, getting rid of the son shouldn’t be difficult* Henry said.
I held my phone tighter, I’m afraid if I continue holding it with so much pressure.. it’s gonna break.
*Then how are we sure your spy is trustworthy?*
Henry scoffed, he folded his arms on his chest.
*I don’t work with nuisances, my spy is Thanatos most trusted man…*
Thanatos most trusted man? Who could that be? Hold on… Peter!
*… he’s being with Thanatos since the very beginning and if I really wanna get rid of Thanatos.. it’ll be super easy*
*Then why haven’t you succeeded in getting rid of him?*
Jade scoffed.
*I think your spy is double crossing you…*
He didn’t let Jade finish her words, before his hand went around her neck.
He lifted her slightly from the ground, choking her.
My legs inched to step forward and push him away from my sister, but I stayed put when I recalled get words.
There’s no sisterhood between us, our sisterhood ended when she found out I am Thanatos baby mama.
Why should I help her then? She should eat the fruit of her labor!
*Listen and listen good, everything Thanatos have has been under my control.. even his life, his life is in my hands and I can take it whenever I want!* He growled.
Hmph! As if he’s God, I rolled my eyeballs.
How bored, planning someone’s death in a hospital without fear of getting caught..well, this place is kinda isolated.
Just then another person walked into the scene, he quickly let go of Jade and she started gasping for air.
*Boss, everything is ready!* Peter!
How dare him betray Thanatos like this?!
*Good! After this is done, I’ll give you a better job in the company.. you won’t have to be a driver anymore*
*Yes, boss, thank you for your kindness!*
Henry nodded.
*Retreat, don’t let him suspect you*
*Yes*
*Oh, one more thing, I have spoken with Freeman and he knows what to do*
*Yes, boss*
Peter quickly left from there, Henry turned to Jade.
*You see that? All his men are under my control, even his pilot has to take orders from me!*
Jade simply nodded with a satisfied smile.
*Good! I just wanna make sure we aren’t fighting a lost battle*
Hmph! With me around, you’ve already lost.. I won’t let any of you hurt my man or my son!
I’d better go show this to Thanatos.

WHEN LOVE IS GONE: Chapter 41 – 50
I pushed the door opened in a hurry, but halted when I saw Peter already standing in front of Thanatos.
I glared at him.
“What are you doing here?!” I growled at him.
“Mrs O’Briens” he greeted me with a bow.
I scoffed.
“Stop acting! Don’t think I don’t plot, you’re not gonna succeed!”
He looked at me in a confused and lost manner, like he does know what I’m talking about.
“Stop acting innocent!”
I rushed to Thanatos side, I quickly sat on the bed next to him.
“Don’t believe whatever this devil says, he’s a bad man”
“Baby, calm down and talk to me clearly.. what did he do?”
I glared at Peter one more time.
“He’s double crossing you”
Thanatos narrowed his eyes at Peter and Peter quickly bowed his head, then Thanatos turned back to me with an arched eyebrow.
“Why do you think he’s double crossing me?” He asked.
“I don’t think, I know he is and I have evidence!” I replied, showing him my phone.
Without wasting time, I played Henry’s conversation with both Jade and Peter to Thanatos…he listened to the end.
“You heard that? They’re planning to kill us and our son!” I said.
Thanatos raised his head and stared at Peter, whose head is facing down.
“This devil is up to no good, you must deal with him before he deals with us!” I urged him.
They both exchange a knowing look, Thanatos seemed as though he’s holding himself from cracking up.
I narrowed my eyes and stepped away from him, it seems something is going on between them that I don’t know.
“What’s going on here?” I asked.
None of them replied me, Peter’s avoiding my eyes and my boyfriend is simply staring at me with a small smile.
“Why are you smiling?”
He shook his head and continued smiling.
“I just told you someone is after my life and our son’s life, unsteady of doing something about it.. you’re smiling?”
He teared his gaze away from me and faced Peter.
“Go on with our plan, make sure the parachutes are very strong” he said.
“Yes, Mr O’Briens” Peter replied and left.
I folded my arms on my chest and glared at Thanatos, I tried to put the pieces together.. and came to a conclusion.
“Peter is actually on your side, you both have a plan.. right?”
He shook his head.
“I don’t know what you’re talking about” he said.
“You think I’m a kid? I can clearly tell you made Peter work for Henry to monitor him!”
He shook his head again. Well, since he doesn’t want me to know.. I will behave as if I know nothing!

We boarded the jet, Thanatos private jet…
After a few minutes, Thanatos and I went into the CRC, to do our adult stuff..if you know what I mean.

06:01pm….
My eyes snapped opened when I heard Thanatos barking orders, I saw him using the walkie talkie.
I thought I was still naked from our adult session, but looking down at myself I found out I was already dressed in a big t-shirt and a pair of briefs.
Just then the jet started shaking, at first I started panicking and began spouting out words.
I saw my whole life flashed before my eyes, I thought we were gonna die, until…
“We’re not gonna die” he said.
He was so sure we weren’t gonna die, his voice wasn’t a bit shaken and he was confidently saying those words.
That’s when I realized he must have known about this, this was his plan all along.. then I started playing with him.
I made him think I didn’t know what was going on, I continued spouting panicked words.
“Mr O’Briens, here are the parachutes” Peter said.
He handed two parachutes to Thanatos, which I quickly snatched one from him before Thanatos could collect them.
I wore it without hesitation, then headed for the nearest window and was ready to jump off.. but Thanatos pulled me back.
“Baby, calm down, we’ll all be safe”
“But this jet is gonna crash in a minute” I yelled.
At that moment, all I could think about is Davis, I needed to jump off to stay alive for him.
“Baby, we’re going down together, just let me wear my parachute.. please”
I stared at him briefly, took a deep breath and nodded.
“Peter, go wear yours”
“Yes, sir” Peter replied and headed back to where he came from.
Thanatos quickly wore his parachute, he made sure everything is ok.. then grabbed my hand.
“What about Peter and Freeman?” I asked.
“They’ll come after us” he replied.

“…and that’s how we escaped death, my brethren!” I concluded.
Adele and Clark just stared at me with their mouth wide open, they are awestruck.
“Wait.. so you knew about our plan all along?” Thanatos asked.
“Do I look like a fool?” I asked him back.
“But you looked so scared and I thought you were oblivious of our plan” he said.
I glared at him.
“Well, I was actually kinda scared, you didn’t tell me your plan was life threatening!”
He didn’t speak, he quickly focused his eyes on Davis.. I’ll make him pay for putting my life in danger later!
“Oh my goodness! I was so scared, I.. I was already imagining worst scenarios” Adele said.
From her expression it’s obvious she’s genuinely worried, what a great friend I have.
“Thankfully you’re both ok” she said and heaved a sigh.
“I’m fine, Adele… Thanks for taking care of my boy on my behalf”
She shook her head. “It’s fine”
I turned my gaze to Clark, he’s busy taking deep breaths.
“Yo, man, please don’t scare me like this next time.. my heart is very fragile” he scolded Thanatos.
Thanatos, Adele and I laughed at his words, but we were quick to sober up.
“But wait.. why did you have to go with a plan like this? What if your jet crashed before you could escape?” Clark asked.
I narrowed my eyes at Thanatos, waiting for his reply.
“I want Henry to think everything is under his control” he said.
“You already know Henry, his grandfather and his mother are after your inheritance.. why not just hand them over to the police?” Clark asked again.
Thanatos gaze hardened, he glared at my small glass table.. his gaze can break the table.
“My mother’s death is not natural, I want to confirm if they’re behind it”
“Oh? What if they’re not?”
“Then I might consider giving my inheritance to them, after all, I have my own companies” he said.
He paused.
“But if they’re behind it, then I’ll make sure they rot in jail!” He growled lowly.
There is a sudden silence among us.. I wonder what really happened to his mother.. I would like to know more about him.
Even though we are deeply in love with each other, we’re kinda like strangers.. we don’t know the most important things about each other.
We just got to know little about each other, I think it’s high time we worked on our relationship.
“Davis is kinda hot.. is he sick?” Thanatos question pulled me back.
“Yeah… Adele has being maltreating my son, she’s being starving him!” I joked. “Oh! My sweet boy!” I feigned crying.
Adele raised her hand to hit me, but Davis quickly spoke on her behalf.
“Aunt Adele gave me so-o-o many foods” he said, emphasizing on so.
Adele smiled, he caressed Davis’s cheeks.
“Good boy, he knows what’s right” she said.
“Aunt Adele, I was tryna save your a*s”
I tensed when I heard that word came out of Davis mouth, my eyes fixed on Adele in an instant.
“Davis? What did you just say?” I gritted out.
“I was tryna save her a*s… ”
“I wonder where he learnt that foul word from?” I smirked, still looking at Adele.
She shook her head. “No, no, Davis, I said axe…A. X. E…axe”
“You said a*s”
“I said axe, have you forgotten..I taught you this, axe”
“Aunt Adele is bad, you’re lying..” he tapped me to get my attention. “.. momma, she said a*s”
“I believe you, baby” I said.
Adele got up and ran away from me, Thanatos, Clark and Peter are busy watching in amusement.
I dumped Davis on his father’s laps and got up slowly, massaging my fingers.
“ADELE RODGERS! What have you been teaching my boy?!” I growled.
“Listen, Jas.. I.. I.. he…”
“I’m gonna kill you today!!” I said and charged at her.
“Clark!! Save me!!” She yelled as she ran away from me, but I didn’t leave her… I continued chasing after her.
