“Everyone, please watch carefully, in case you spot her. It will be at our advantage if we see her before she does us” Mayor told them as they drove slowly searching for Martha at the bus stop.
There were a lot of people waiting to catch the bus at the bus stop, so they had to drive slowly trying to spot her out from the crowd.
“We might never find her like this, the crowd at the bus stop is much. Jeffery do you have her picture in your phone or something?” Mayor asked.
“No, I rarely take pictures of myself not to talk about that of my housekeeper”
“Why not just go through your pictures first? Ha, ha, what about that day we organized a surprise birthday party for you? She was there too. And I remember we all snapped a group photo together” Dele reminded Jeffery.
“Okay, let me check” Jeffery had to scroll through several pictures, and the ones he kept seeing, were those of Jane, the ones they took at their recent vacation, others she randomly snapped with his phone when they were together.

Finally, he found one of him and Martha on his birthday, he remembers asking her to join in the picture when it was being taken.
“Here is one” Jeffery showed the picture to Mayor.
“Nice, people should be able to recognize her with this” Mayor took the phone from Jeffery and came down from the car.
“Where are you going?” Lauretha asked him.
“We are going to meet these agberos (street touts), show them her picture and see if they had seen her around”
Lauretha got down from the car too. “And you think, if they had seen her they would remember? There are so many people at this bus stop”
“Trust me, with some dry gin and few wraps of weed, you would be amazed at the kind of information you can get from these guys. I suggest you both remain in the car, but please be at alert in case we need to make a quick run” with that said, Mayor and Lauretha got lost in the crowd at the bus stop.
“If Martha truly has a hand in this, then I don’t know if I’m ever going to trust anyone again. Because, I trust that woman with my life”
“Just calm down bro, everything will work out in the end” Dele assured Jeffery.

Few minutes later, Dele’s phone rang and it was Lauretha calling. “Hello Lauretha, what’s up?”
“You guys should quickly drive to the left side of the park”
Dele immediately drove to the left side of the park to find some men holding a struggling Martha.

Anita was rushing back home to feed her son and also to check on Jonathan. With Jeffery and Dele busy trying to find Jane, she and Michael has a made it a point of duty to always be around her mother and Erica.
They were yet to tell them that Jane was missing. And whenever they asked of her, they keep telling them Jane has been very busy lately and would come to the hospital soon.
Her son’s nanny had called to tell her; Jonathan has been stooling and vomiting. He was doing okay before Anita left to go to the hospital in the afternoon, why he suddenly started stooling and vomiting, is beyond her.
When she got to the street leading to her estate, a car was in front of her, and it seemed like the owner was indecisive of which direction to go, for it was moving slowly. So she decided to overtake it. Only for her to scratch the car in the process. The owner of the car quickly stopped, and got down to check her car.
“You this stupid girl! Have you seen what your impatience has caused? are you mad? Who even gave you a car to drive in the first place?” The woman said angrily to Anita who got down to apologize to her.
“I’m so sorry ma, I was in a hurry to..”
“In a hurry to see your stupid boyfriend I presume? Or is it your sugar daddy? What is wrong with you young girls of these days?”
Amaka was already used to people referring to her as a child because of her small stature, but what she can’t get used to, is being insulted. Looking at the woman, she could tell the age difference between them wouldn’t be much.
“I’m sorry madam but don’t you think that is going to the extreme? I didn’t scratch your car intentionally, I was just trying..”
“To get to your horny boyfriend? Isn’t that it?”
Would this woman stop cutting her short and allow her to speak? Why is she so stuck up anyway? It’s not like the damage is much, just a little scratch which can be removed in no time.
“And what if I was going to meet my boyfriend? What do you have against that?”
“You see what I’m talking about? Because one of your sugar daddies gave you a car, you now think you can talk to people the way you like. Now listen you little whore, I am..”
She wasn’t done talking when Anita went back to her car. The woman called her whore, now she is going to show her how a whore truly behaves. She got into her car, drove back a little, and then moved forward bashing into the woman’s car.
“Have you gone mad?” The woman screamed.
Anita drove back again and bashed the woman’s car again, this time raising the hood of the car in the process and destroying the headlights. Then she came down and examined the damage done on both cars.
Even though Anita’s car wasn’t spared from the damage, she wasn’t bothered.
“Now that’s how a whore behaves, here is my card. Take your car to the mechanic and send me the cost, or I could get you a new one if you want” Anita placed her card on the destroyed hood of the car and got back into her own car, and then drove off.
“I will deal with you, you don’t know who I am” the woman kept screaming as Anita drove off and people started gathering to know what was happening.
When Anita got home, she parked her damaged car, and rushed in, to see Jonathan. The little boy was lying down in the sitting room, weak from constant stooling and vomiting.
“Quick, we need to get him to the hospital” she said to her son’s nanny, as she rushed to get the keys to her second car.
Anita quickly drove Jonathan to the hospital in her estate. The nurses checked the little boy, and decided to admit him into the emergency room.
She was waiting for the doctor to come in and check him, when the woman who she just bashed her car, walked into the room. She was the doctor.

Dele quickly drove to where Mayor and Lauretha were. Two agberos were holding Martha in place as she kept struggling to get away from their grip.
“Dele reverse the car, let’s get her inside” Mayor instructed.
“I am not going anywhere with you!” Martha screamed. “Leave me alone!”
“Madam you suppose thank God say; this oga tell us make we nor beat you. If not ehn, you for not fit dey open your mouth by now” the scary one amongst the two agberos warned. Martha must have been threatened by his words, for she kept quiet.
“Thanks so much guys, please help us get her inside the car” Mayor told the agberos after Dele had reversed the car.
“Oga make we tie her hand and leg first before una comot o, this woman fit do and undo o” the agbero advised Mayor.
“I have a tape in my car” Jeffery quickly got into his car and brought out a sellotape and gave it to the agberos who used it in taping Martha’s legs and hands together after they had put her in the car.
“Thank you so much egbon(meaning senior in yoruba), Abeg make una manage this small thing” Mayor brought out some bunch of 1000 naira notes from his wallet and handed it to the abegeros.
“Twuale oga (meaning salute), na man you be. See ehn, if you wan catch anybody for this area, come meet us. Nothing wen dey happen for here without our permission, na our cabal be this” One of the agberos told them as he placed the bunch of money in his pocket.
“We will keep that in mind” Mayor and Jeffery joined Martha at the back seat, while Dele and Lauretha were in front.
“When we get to a police check point, I would love to see how you are going to explain having a woman being tired at the back of your car to the police” Martha said with a smile on her face as she spoke, for she knew there was a police check point at the next junction.
“That’s if we encounter any police on our way” Dele replied as he took another route, instead of the major road.
“Martha what did I ever do to you? Why would you want to hurt me this way?” Jeffery asked her with so much pain in his voice. He has never felt so betrayed and stupid in his entire life. He felt stupid because the Martha he thought he knew, is totally different from the one he is seeing.
“If it was money you needed, you could have told me. I would have given you more money and you know it! For God’s sake, I pay you twice what people who do your type of job earn, was that not enough for you? Did you have to kidnap my fiancée? Jane loves you like she would to her own mother. I just want to know why you would do something as heartless as this”
“You would be a fool to think I did this just for the money. I guess you are not as smart as I thought you were. It’s no surprise, being around that cheap heifer can dull one up” Martha spoke with so much hate.
“Where are you keeping her?” Mayor asked this time.
“You would have to kill me first, before you can get anything out of me” Martha said smiling.
“With all pleasure then, Dele do you mind stepping on it? We are going somewhere we can have fun”
Dele drove as Mayor directed him on which route to take. When they arrived the location, it was a bungalow in a deserted part of town. It was surrounded with bushes, and very few houses were around that area.
“Alright guys, here we are” Mayor announced as they all got down and helped Martha out of the car.
“Where is this place?” Dele whispered to Lauretha. “This is where Mayor brings the stubborn ones” Lauretha went around and took the keys to the house from Mayor, and opened the door.
The door opened to a spacious and well furnished sitting room. “This way guys” Mayor already had a gun pointed at Martha’s head as she moved obediently in the direction he gave her.
When they got to a door, Lauretha opened it for them. It was a large room which looked like an abattoir, for it had blood stains all over the walls, the floor and even the some part of the ceiling. There was a table on one side of the room which had several equipment on it, from dissecting tools, to knives, pliers, electric iron, hammer and other several sharp objects. In the middle of the room were two chairs facing each other. Jeffery suspected one to be an electric chair. Even the most hardened criminal would be scared at the sight of this room.
Mayor led Martha to sit on one of the chairs, got a rope from the table and tied her to the chair.
“Guys, you might want to excuse us, because this might get a little bIoody” he said to Jeffery and Dele.
“No, we are staying” Jeffery insisted, if this woman really knew where Jane was, then he would stay here to see her face when she confesses.
“Be my guest then” Mayor took a plier from the table and then sat on the chair directly opposite Martha.
“So Martha, are you ready to tell me where you are keeping Jane, or do I force it out of you?”
Martha didn’t respond, instead she looked at Mayor with disdain, then turned her face away from him.
“I take it, you want it the hard way then” Mayor took her right hand and then brought the plier close. “You have a last chance, where are you keeping Jane?”
“Do your worst”
“By all means, I will” Mayor clipped out one of her finger nail. Martha let out a loud cry as the nail fell to the floor and she started to bIeed.
Dele who couldn’t stand the sight of bIood, had to excuse himself and went outside.
“Are you ready to talk now, or do I proceed and clip off your other nails? Because trust me I would gladly do it”
Martha started crying, “please don’t, I will tell you where she is”
Mayor smiled, he knew it wouldn’t take long before she caved in. “That is what I want to hear, so now tell me where is she?”
“I don’t know”
“Wrong answer” This time, without warning, Mayor took out her second nail making Martha scream louder in pain.
“I will tell you, please I will tell you”
“If you don’t tell me what I want to hear this time, I’m going to take out your remaining eight finger nails. No jokes. Do you understand?”
“Yes, yes” Martha nodded.
