Chapter 38

Granny Teresa’s House..

Jessica took the last bite of her bread and gulped down the whole content in her coffee cup.. She was cladded in the new school uniform, ready to go back to school after many weeks

Of course, Its still her school but she had to buy another uniform because she took none of her clothes from their home

“You look beautiful” Paisley complimented and she smiled, blushing

She swept her hair up into a high ponytail and smiled satisfactorily, strapping her back pack on her back

“Harold..” She groaned watching him eat slowly

“Com’on, not like it’s your first day in a new school, no rushing please!” She scoffed and she pouted

Teresa only watched without saying anything

After few minutes, Harold was finally done

“Bye granny..”

“Bye mum” he said with Jessica as they ran out of the house in giggles

“You look somewhat bothered.. what’s wrong” Paisley suddenly asked after they left

Teresa forced a smug smile

“I’m fine of course” she lied

Scott Hills High School..

The two highlighted from the cab and Harold paid before the driver drove off..

They headed towards the school gate and showed the security men their ID card before they were permitted to enter

They entered the exquisitely and classic built school.. The school was both for the junior and senior high school students but there was a demarcation between the two.. and their uniform differs

The seniors wore long neck ties while the juniors wore bow ties

It’s a school for both the rich and poor

Although, the rich kids are the majority of students in the school but many poor students who were admitted through scholarship were also students, along with the middle class students

Jessica and Harold aren’t on scholarship though..

All eyes landed on Jessica

?She’s back in school..!!

?I heard her father died.. so pathetic

?She’s so beautiful..

?her curves grew more curvy

?She lives with him now, I think

?Harold is so cute.. isn’t it!!

?Oh my.. its Jessica!!

?She’s really back.. I thought she left the country already

?My aunty told me she got rapped by her father

Jessica stopped on her tracks on hearing that statement.. she turned to where the words came from and her smile disappeared immediately

“Stop reminding me of my pains!!” She shouted at the girl who flinched immediately

Harold stared at her in awe

“Jessica..?” He called, squeezing her palms gently

She sI.apped his hands off and ran into the school building with glassy eyes

?Her mood swings that easily..?

?What’s wrong?

?I guess the girl over there said something disheartening

After about two classes, the electric bell rang, indicating short break

Jessica rushed out of the class, feeling so pressed.. she ran into the toilet to empty her bowels

When she was done, she washed her hands and was about leaving the toilet when she bumped into Simpson

Simpson is the only daughter of the school Vice president which made her as proud as the the peacock itself

She bvllies anyone she likes and no one dares question her because of the fear of being expelled or beaten up by her and her friends.. She has two older brothers who are twins but were flirts and playboys

She was always picking on Jessica, cuz she knew she had most of the boys attention which makes her seriously furious.. in short, she’s Jessica’s worst enemy

“I see the chicken resumed back to school” Simpson laughed devilishly, entering fully with her two dogs.. Nikita and Audrey, who follows her about, succumbing to her will every time like they were hypnotized

Jessica staggered backwards, there was no one in toilet apart from them

“What do you want from me” she feigned a bold voice

“A welcome treatment” Audrey said and the trio laughed hysterically

Simpson chewed b!tchily on her gum, she was just fifteen but looked nineteen

She had a big stature unlike Jessie who was only chubby with average height

She advanced towards Jessica staring at her long brown hair

“Should we just start with your hair” she winked.. Jessie immediately nodded negatively

“No please..” she pleaded and they laughed again

“Well, we only came to warn you…” Nikita said

“Stay away from Harold if you know your mum really cherishes you..” Simpson said

“How is that possible when we live together..” Jessica found herself asking

Simpson blinked repeatedly

“The rumors are true..?!, you live together” she scoffed, grunting in disgust

Jessica regretted it immediately

She bit her lower lip slowly

“No.. I mean yes” she stuttered

Nikita scoffed

“That means she was truly rapped.. I heard a girl say it in the laboratory” she said and Jessie swallowed nothing

“Who rapped you..?.. you lost your dad too, how pitiful” Audrey said mockingly and

the trio laughed again

“Give me his address..”Simpson ordered,

Jessica furrowed her brows

“Huh..”

“You didn’t stuff your ears with wool.. did you..?!” Nikita yelled

“I.. don’t know the address” she said and without hesitation Simpson twisted her right ear

“Ouch..” Jessie winced

“Speak now will you!!”

“You’re hurting me..” She groaned as Simpson twisted her ear more
