Chapter 52

The ladies arrived, they were a total of twenty seven including Dora who passed the first stage of the interview

They all sat in the large compound, mumbling all sorts

Dora smiled devilishly and it turned to a smirk immediately

Lady Ann showed up with an unexplainable expression

There was total silence immediately as the ladies fixed their gazes on her, anticipating for her statement

“Good day everyone…” Ann started sighting Dora

She heaved a sigh

“I know you all are fully ready for the practical stage of the interview.. but……”

Dora scrunched up her face instantly hearing the word ‘but’, she stared blankly at Lady Ann in curiosity

Their eyes met and Ann gave her a signal which she could swear made her confused.. she didn’t understand

“I’m sorry, boss ordered the cancelling of the interview and because of this, none of you will be employed.

I’m sorry for all inconvenience this might cause and might have caused you.. my apologies” Ann ended with a bow and the crowd began murmuring and mumbling in dissatisfaction..

Dora folded her fists tightly that the veins on her white hands became so obvious

“Darn it!!!” She cussed in her head breathing heavily in fury

She watched everyone leave in disappointment and immediately stood up, approaching Ann

Ann pulled her into a tight hug immediately closed her eyes, while Dora only boiled in rage but still pretended to be fine

Ann inhaled her scent and her eyes flew open

This is definitely not Cathy scent, Cathy had a citrus scent right from when she was young and no matter the change in face due to the skin mask, she still recognizes her sister’s scent

Ann immediately suspected that Cathy was being impersonated but she decided to play along, she stylishly peeped at her left shoulder to check out the star-shaped mark but found nothing and was instantly convinced

“Geez.. thank goodness the interview got cancelled” her subconscious mind screamed

“I missed you Ann” Dora said and Ann smirked

Another confirmation.. the voice was different

“How’s your arm?” Ann said immediately after breaking the hug and Dora immediately smiled, she was on long sleeves though

“It’s getting better” she replied quickly

“We need to talk.. what’s our next plan now?” Dora said immediately, pulling her to the balcony, ensuring no one was watching

Ann smirked from behind

“I’m more smarter than you are.. bch” she thought hat£fully

Alive Hospitals..

Brinkley was coincidentally in the same hospital as Jessica’s

Her eyes flew open suddenly and the first thing she sighted was her father and Cindy glaring at her

It was as if they’ve been waiting for her to wake up

“Where am I?” She muttered weakly as she sat up, looking at the drip connected to her arm.. she winced

Her mum and Mavis sat quietly..

“Brinkley..” Cindy called her full name, unusually

“I just returned from Paris this morning for the love of apples!!” She groaned

“I don’t understand, I feel sick” Brinkley said

“The doctor confirmed you’re four weeks pregnant.. explain in details” Chief Wilson said and she choked on nothing

“Huh..”

“Are you pregnant or not Brinkley!!” Cindy asked frankly

Mavis sighed from where he was sitting

“Dad.. she just woke up, you should let her be” he said

“Stay out of this!” Chief Wilson snapped turning back to Brinkley

“Reply..!”

“I’m.. I’m pregnant” Brinkley said slowly

Cindy’s eyes widened

“What the..!”

“Who is the father of the unborn child..?!” Chief Wilson’s voice echoed in her ears and Brinkley gulped down nothing

“Dad..” Mavis called again

Brinkley opened her mouth to speak

“It’s…

It’s……..”

“It’s… ”

“It’s who!” Cindy snapped impatiently

“Dylan” she said lowly and Chief Wilson’s eyes widened in shock.. Mavis folded his fists tightly breathing heavily in fury

Cindy scoffed, she knows Dylan pretty well as her sister’s betrothed.. though she never met him

“I thought you said he refused the marriage with you, how come he impregnated you” Cindy said with furrowed brows

“He di…” Brinkley was saying but was interrupted by Chief Wilson’s phone ring

“I’ll be there soon” he said ending the call

“You need to be somewhere..?” Cindy said and he nodded, picking up his car keys

“Yeah.. it’s urgent”

He turned to Brinkley

“You still have to make some explanations in full details!!” He said and left immediately

Brinkley bit her lower lip slowly, avoiding Mavis’s gaze

Cindy kept staring at her in awe

“Why do I feel like something is wrong somewhere” she said suspiciously and Brinkley managed to keep straight face looking away

“You’re carrying my child!” Mavis thought, tightening his fists with gritted teeth as he stared at Brinkley.. breathlessly

Scott Hills High..

“Here’s your balance.. I just hope she doesn’t survive it” Simpson said handing over a brown envelope to a male student

They were actually at the back of the toilet, ensuring no one was around or eavesdropping

“That was really hard to do, I almost got caught” the guy said and she scoffed

“At least I’m paying you, jerk!” She rolled her eyes and he grinned annoyingly as he received the envelope from her, proceeding to leave

“Hey..” Simpson called, making him stop on his tracks, he turned to face her with furrowed brows

“Huh..?”

“Remember.. we’ve never met! Okay..?!” She said sharply and he scoffed

“Fine!” He said rudely and left, Simpson glared daggers at him, folding her fists slowly

“Just wait till I’m done with you all” she thought loudly

“Simpson..?” Audrey called from behind and she immediately turned to see her advancing towards her with Nikita

“How did you find me” Simpson wondered

“Com’on, you told us you’ll be meeting him here” Nikita rolled her eyes and she gasped in realisation, knocking her head with a smug smile

“Ohh, I forgot” she laughed

“How did it go” Audrey asked and Simpson breathed as they walked back into the school building

“I paid the bstard off already” she said

“Are you sure she won’t survive it..?” Nikita asked as they walked

“Lets just hope she won’t, according to the news, she’s currently in coma after htting her head hardly on the tarred road” Simpson said

“I just want her dead already” she added determinedly

Nikita smirked

Audrey immediately spotted a junior student with cookies and soda as her snacks

“Hey you..! Give me that!” She ordered authoritatively and the girl flinched, bursting into tears

“No please.. my mum made it for my birthday” the little girl cried as Audrey snatched it forcefully from her
