Chapter 58

Somewhere in New York..

The whole area was silent and looked insecure.. dangerous

Ashley looked around impatiently, like she was waiting for someone

She was cladded a blue tight trousers and and black hoodie with a black face mask to hide her identity

She heard the footsteps of someone behind her

She shrieked, turning immediately to see who it was

She heaved a deep sigh realising it’s him, her man

She rushed to him, hugging him tightly and inhaled his scent

He hugged her back and raised her head planting ksses allover her face

Ashley giggled like a baby

“I missed you” he said and she blushed

“I did too.. alot” she whispered and he smiled broadly, stoking her hair as they sat on the grass

“What’s the latest update” the man, Nathan asked

Ashley heaved a deep sigh

“Chairman James told his sons that the first to provide the pregnancy of his second grand child will emerge as the next Chairman of the Langford conglomerates and as well have a grand wedding on his 60th birthday, next month” she said

“Huh..”Nathan breathed in surprise

“Tristan is rest assured that I’m pregnant for him but I’m not, I’m scared we’ll lose the properties if Dylan’s fiancee gets pregnant” She added

“Let’s make a baby today then..” Nathan said immediately

“Huh..?”

“We mustn’t lose the properties Ashley! Our plans mustn’t fail!” He snapped

She looked at him in fear

“What..?” He furrowed his brows

“The doctor said I can never be pregnant, I lost my w.omb after the seven ab.ortions.. have you forgotten” she said and his arms dropped

“Ashley..!” He ruffled his hair frustratingly, he looked at her

“You’re the only tool I can use to have access to the properties.. I need to plan” he thought

Ashley breathed

“I don’t know what to do Nathan..”

“We need to distract Dylan, we need to make sure he doesn’t impregnate his fiancee..” Nathan said suddenly

“Like what..?”

“Making him lose something precious that will make him lose focus on the properties for now” he replied quickly

“Something precious.. we must take away something precious from him.. and that’s…….??” he added, staring at her blankly

Ashley widened her eyes

“His daughter..??!”

Tristan rolled to the other side of the bed as the cool evening breeze nuzzled him through the large window

Distant memories flashed through his head and he could not stop reminiscing about them.. it was impossible not to reminisce

He was holding a picture of a familiar lady with him.. that’s the only picture of hers that he has.. She had a phobia for pictures except when she’s been snapped at her unawares

He remembered the star shaped mark he saw at the lady’s left shoulder.. only Catherine had that mark

He had earlier gone to the receptionist and asked what her name was according to the registration she made when securing a room but he was disappointed after being told “Natalie Klein”

He shook his head in confusion.. did someone else has that mark also?!

Or Is he sure that’s really the mark?

Could she be the one?

Natalie or Catherine?

Many questions ran across his mind and he couldn’t find an answer to any

“She’s Natalie Klein and not Catherine?” He said loudly

“But the mark.. and her scent confirms she’s the one!! Those are Cathy’s peculiarities among millions of people around the world” he thought, confusedly

“Noo.. Catherine died in the fire that morning.. I must be crazy” he shook his head, snapping out of his thoughts

He still couldn’t think straight

“Argh” he groomed standing up from the bed and headed to the bathroom

Getting there, the turned the faucet, standing directly under the shower and the water drenched on him.. wetting his clothes

Vikings Villa..

“Boss lady.. Dora passed out already!” A guard rushed in, breathlessly

Roxanne scoffed

“So..?” She rolled her eyes

Jacqueline sighed

“Boss.. we still need her and you know it” she said

Roxanne shook her head negatively

“I need no one anymore, this time I’ll do it myself” She said

Jacq breathed, turning to the guard who’s gaze was glued to the floor

No one dares look up at the boss or her right hand lady, Jacqueline, the second in command else you have a death wish

“Tell Clementine to treat her, she must’nt die” Jacqueline ordered and he nodded and left, of course.. he bowed before leaving

The door swung open revealing Velvet and her twin brother, Vince

They sat without bowing, looking angry

Roxanne scrunched up her face

“Velvy?” She called

“Vince..” She called again but none of them replied, they turned to the wall

She breathed

“What is it this time” she asked

“Mum!, it’s high time you get rid of that woman with dad and have what belongs to us.. a girl in in the neighbouring house mocked me today because she doesn’t know my father” Vince said

Jacqueline sighed

“Geez..”

“Mum.. he’s right, you are my father’s bride, stand up and take your place” Velvet said

Roxanne heaved a deep breath, letting out a sigh

“I know, but it’s not that easy”

“Everything should be easy, you are the boss lady mum!” Vince snapped

“Fine, what do you want me to do” She said

“Eliminate all obstacles” the twins said in unison

“Just attack her in the room at night.. simple” Jacqueline said and Roxanne smirked

“And mum.. you’re doing this yourself and not your guys” Velvet added confidently

“I’ll find a way to get into the house but I can’t identify her room” Roxanne said

“She should be in his room as his fiacee.. our main priority is getting rid of her to take what belongs to us back” Velvet replied and she stared at the kids without a word

“Hmmmph..”
