Chapter 20
ROOFTOP.
Still at the romantic, set rooftops.
After hearing May’s reply, Emperor got stunned completely. His ears were still proving decisive.
” Liam. Liam is your husband?” He asked just to be sure and she shaked her heads willingly with a smile.
He creased his brow, wondering what a sort of coincidence this was.
He began to think within himself, if this was Liam’s own wife or she was just playing tricks on him.
Of course the uniqueness of their surname could tell that perhaps, she was saying the truth.
But he wondered again, what if this was part of Liam’s plan to get him as well. What if he had sent his wife to come spy on him as well.
By his effective research, he knew who may was. She was calm, gentle and had no bad side to really speak about.
Even by her round face, big eyes and tiny voice. Everything spoke heavenly and pure.
He knew she would have been sneaky with the topic of “her husband” if actually she came here for a plan.
And perhaps, she would have been the one trying to catch his feelings instead of him, in order to carry out her supposed plan.
At then, he classified her innocent. Perhaps, she had collided in his place to seek for a job and, that, was only a fortune for him in disguse.
This was the best way to get hold of Liam by the neck, by taking his sxy adorable girl.
It would be easier for him since he could sense the sort of attraction she had started to feel towards him and the hatred she felt towards Liam.
” Is there anything wrong?” She asked, bringing him down to earth.
” Oh. Nothing.” He smiled and sipped out of his drink, menancing his eyes at her sxily. She had suddenly gotten more beautiful at a blink of an eye.
” What happened to your cheeks?” He asked, palming the spot behind her ear, carefully.
” Oh. It was just a slight slap” She giggled and Emperor widened his eyes.
” Wait, Your husband sI.apped you??” He asked and May gulped. Did she say that too loud?
” It was only a mistake.” She said.
” It couldn’t be a mistake, may. This Slap is visible enough to have not been mistaken.” He said and she sighed, lowering her head.
She had decided to forget about the sIap but thinking about it now was making her feel hurt double times.
” Come May.” He said and brought her up from her hands.
He made her sit on his legs and May felt extremely awkward. She had never sat on any Man’s leg before, including her husband.
She didn’t want to feel disrespectful to disapprove his “kind” gesture.
He brought out a bruise moisturiser balm and applied it on her tender cheeks very gently and smoothly.
May stared at his perfect eyes and her heart began to h!t hardly against her chest.
He stared back at her and grinned sexily.
” This would make the scar go away before tomorrow.” He said and she smiled shyly.
” Thank alot.” She said and he kssed her ear playfully before pulling her up.
They began to rest on the deck, staring down at the large skyscraper.
” Like i said, May. Liam, is not the right person for you. You can’t sit and watch him treat you this eay cuz this is body abuse.” He said and May pouted her lips.
” What am I supposed to do now?” She asked worriedly.
He pulled her closer and made them cuddle.
” May sweet. Follow your heart. Who does your heart seek for?. Who do you think about?. Who makes you smile the most?. Who cares for you the most?…” He trailed off and stared at her eyes. ” I want you to think about this question effectively and tell me who comes to your mind.” He said.
May smiled after noticing all he just said corresponds with him.
” I…I..think its you. It you i seek for” She said hypnotised.
” Really?. Me?” He laughed. He wasn’t suprised, but he hid his expression. He knew she would definitely choose him.
” Yes. You, Emperor ” She said and hugged his body tightly.
” I’m sorry about saying this but even tho I’m married, i still feel indifferently about you. You are the nicest person ever and i like you alot like crazy .” She said and Emperor hugged her in return, grinning inwardly.
This was it. The beginning of the ending. It would be heavy war soon, He was ready to finish it till his last.
” It okay, May. It’s okay. I feel the same way towards you too.” He said and his shoulder fell in victory.

LIAM’S CAR.
Liam stopped his car at the side of the road. It was drizzling and it was staining the car glass.
He sighed and turned to look at Mitchell.
” Tomorrow. You’ll take me to Ray’s hideout. I’m sure you know where he stays”
” And what do you wanna do about it?” She asked Liam chuckled.
” To cut it short, It’s gonna be bloody and Gruesome.” He said and it was Mitchell’s turn to laugh.
” Like you have the strength to fight uhn, Pretty boy?” She asked and Liam glared at her. He didn’t want to add to her punishment
He diverted the topic instantly.
” I want you to please..BEHAVE when you get to my house.” He said and Mitchell scoffed inwardly.
‘Bahave?. When all she wanted to do was to show her own payback on his wife?’ Ha!. Too late.
She folded her hands.
” Yes. I’ll Behave.” She scooted and Liam continued driving.

MANSION.
The boss and Mitchell stepped into the mansion after long hours of driving and the load of traffic.
May came out of the kitchen with a glove worn on both hands.
” Liam. You are home.” She said in excitement.
She knew every night would end bad because of him but she was always happy to see him after a long day.
She was taken by suprise after she stared at the other lady he had brought home.
” Hey may.” Mitchell waved, grinning hard at her and May quickly ignored her.
She turned to her husband, following him side to side as they strolled up the stairs.
” How was work today?” She asked but she received no reply. ” Guess what…I’m preparing your best meal!.” She hugged his arms happily but Liam still remained void.
” Don’t worry. We ate together…at the restaurant.” Mitchell chipped in and May looked at Liam.
Liam, noticing his wife long stares finally spoke out;
” Yes. We decided to eat at the restaurant just for a night” He said coldly and May pouted. He had never eaten outside with her, neither has he tasted any of her meals.
” Um..Do you want me to do anything else for you?” She asked and Liam stopped.
” Take her to her room.” He pointed and May nodded quickly.
She took Mitchell to the usual guest room and then she turned around swiftly,back to Liam’s room.
” Knock knock!” She knocked and Liam came up to look at the interruption.
” What are you doing here?” He asked unbuttoning his shirt and May got into his room quickly.
” Why is she here?. Mitchell” She asked, folding her hands.
” She will be here until i know that I’m safe to let her go.” He said and she got confused.
Safe?. She wondered what that sneaky girl had done to have brought her dear husband trouble.
She didn’t want to ask too much questions about it in order not to get him angry.
” Um..Liam. Please come try out my meals for just this once, Please. I can cook, the food are nice.” She begged, palming her hands.
” Are you deaf!. Huh?!. I said I’m not hungry. Or are you going to force the food into my mouth?!” He yelled, causing her to stagger back in fear.
She thought of another idea and smiled widely at him.
” I have an idea. Okay. I’ll just..Put in a microwave for you to eat tomorrow morning.” She said and Liam grabbed her wrists fiercely.
” May. May!. Don’t give me warmed food or I’ll force the whole wastebin garbage down your throat. Do you hear me!” He yelled and May pouted.
He didn’t like her or anything she sacrificed to do for him. She felt hurt.
As she tried leaving, She remembered what Emperor had told her that day and her nerves grew.
She turned to look at Liam.
” Liam. I think you should know this.” She said and Liam turned to stare at her, glaring at her to hear her next annoying food suggestion
” I don’t feel happy with this marriage anymore. It’s not the kind of dream marriage that i ever hoped for. So..” she walked closer and held his arm.

” I want to start afresh, Liam. I think since we can’t continue to love eachother as normal couples then we should go our separate ways.” She said and took out her ring, placing it on his palm.

Liam looked at her with the face of ‘ What exactly is going on in here?’
He didn’t expect her next action coming and he was feeling scared again.

” You have been partially a good husband, at least those times you still cherished me. I have been a good wife all my life. But You can have this ring. Ion need it anymore. I’ll leave tomorrow.” She said and kssed his lip softly.
She gave him a faint smile before leaving the room.
