Why was I so stupid to think that Ethan will stand by me no matter what . I thought he would believe every word I say because it’s the truth . It hurts that he thinks that I would sleep with his own best friend . It was just a kss but he refused to acknowledge that .
” Isabella , What’s wrong ? You look a little down .” Hayden stared at me as I drank up a bottle of water while standing next to the kitchen table .
” I’m good . I’m perfect Hayden . You know why ? Because someone told Ethan that I’m having sx with you !” I whispered furiously . ” I wonder who would do that to me ? Oh! Wait ? Was it you ?” I sat down quickly .
” What ? I only told Ethan about our kss nothing more Isabella and I even asked for his permission to have sx with you , that’s all . I respect Ethan and you too .” Hayden walked over the chair across me and sat down .” Im sorry that you feel sad because Ethan thinks you slept with me . Ethan can be a drama king sometimes !”
” What pains me the most is that he thinks I’m capable of sleeping with anyone because of my past ”
” Your past ? What happened? Is there something you aren’t telling me Isabella . You can trust me okay , I won’t push you away like Ethan !”
” It’s nothing Hayden . I Just don’t want to talk about anything that involves my past but Ethan is forcing me to .”
” You have been through a lot and Ethan should take it easy on you . I will talk to him for you okay ? I will make sure that he doesn’t mistreat you whilst I’m out ”
” Thank you Hayden but it will be best if we give him time to cool down . He will surely come around and when he does , he will maybe listen to me !”
” Yeah , you are right . He has been like that since his last girlfriend died . She was the only one who made Ethan happy , I guess ”
” He had a girlfriend ? He Never mentioned that to me ” I said thoughtfully .
” He doesn’t like talking about her . It is a last year thing so don’t mention it to him because he will kill me . He doesn’t want no one knowing about it . Take it easy on him too , he has got bigger problems than any of us I this house ” Hayden stood and walked over my chair .
” What are you doing ?” I questioned , frightened up that Ethan might walk in here any time and I don’t know how will I explain myself .
He kneeled down in front of me and stared at me , he grabbed my hands , his cold large hands squeezed them a little ” I want to marry you some day Isabella . You deserve a man who would understand . Who would hold you when you are sad or angry , who would love you no matter what and that man is me ”
” Are you planning on proposing to me ?” I asked nervously with a small smile on my face .
” Maybe , You never know when it will happen right? You might as well just prepare for it . I want to make you mine soon ” he stood up and kssed my forehead ” So I bought this for you ” he took out a small black box out of his pocket and opened it ” it’s a diamond ring . I bought it for you on my way home . I thought maybe I should show you how serious I am before everything goes out of hand ” I just stared at the diamond ring in shock , trying my best not to curse the sky for making this man fall so hard on me whilst I don’t truly love him .
” Hayden …this is too fast . We just met and I don’t think Ethan will approve of this ” I whispered softly” and I don’t even know nothing about you !”
” I already told my parents about you and they want to meet you on Saturday night for dinner . ” Hayden took my hand and helped me to stand up ” I understand that everything is too fast but I can’t wait any longer and my parents are so excited to meet you ”
I sallowed hard” Give me time to think about it . ” I said quickly” excuse me ” he shifted slightly for me to pass.
” Take your time my lady !” He said cheerfully as he threw himself on the chair . I just nodded as I walked my way upstairs .
Hayden is suffocating me with his feelings. I have never been in this kind of a situation whereby two men want me or should I say one because Ethan seems not to care . I love Ethan with all my heart and a future with him is imaginable but Hayden , dmn , Hayden is every girl’s dream man . He is too perfect and too kind . He likes saying whatever it’s in his mind and he doesn’t care if anyone is listening. Ethan is just another mysterious person , he is too distant and he doesn’t like talking about anything except work . He is always working whilst Hayden is always having fun and he doesn’t put much effort in his job . And this point , I’m confused and sad because Hayden is at the top happily waiting for me while Ethan is silently chilling , doing nothing but watching me .
” Where is Annalisa , I want her . Isabella please bring my Annalisa back to me , please !” Daniel pleaded with me the minute I entered his bedroom .
” She is coming Daniel . Don’t you want to see Cassandra too ?” I asked slowly knowing very well that Daniel doesn’t like hearing her name but I’m trying to bring back some familiarity .
” No , i want sweetheart Annalisa right now ” he yelled furiously ” I want my angel , my everything . I want to marry her ” then he started singing some song . I just listened to him as he sang about how much he loves Annalisa and how he badly wants to marry her .
I wish I could help h but I can’t because Ethan and Hayden thinks he will come around but I doubt so . I can’t help but think off Cassandra , Hayden told me a lot about her and Daniel . Cassandra used to be Daniel’s favourite but now it’s the opposite . I can’t imagine Ethan forgetting all about me , that would be painful indeed and I bet Cassandra is in pain too .
I listened to Daniel sing until he went to wonderland . I walked out of his room slowly and I closed the door slowly not wanting to wake him up .
I debated with my mind before I furiously walked to Ethan’s room . If he doesn’t want to listen then I will make him . When I got there I found his door wide opened with him sitting on his bed wearing the usual , his black suit .
I nervously walked in and stood few feet from him ” I didn’t sleep with him Ethan . We only kssed , that’s all . I swear to God ”
He slowly raised his head to look at me ” I know . Hayden just told me now and I’m sorry I didn’t give you a chance to explain everything . I know it’s not your fault okay ” he murmured sadly as he stood up .
” It’s fine and one last thing is that I’m tired of hiding my true identity from Hayden . Why can’t we just tell him the truth Ethan ? ” I pointed out but Ethan just shook his head no as he fixed his perfect suit .
” That’s not a good idea Isabella . Give me some time . ” He glanced over me ” Take care of Daniel for me . I’m off to the hospital . The doctor has got something to tell us . ” Then he walked past me .
I just stood at the same spot thinking of how am I going to tell Hayden the truth ause Ethan doesn’t want to . I’m tired of hiding , Hayden deserves to know that I’m not one of the McKenzie family , maybe he will leave me alone because he is driving me insane .
