Mr Sterling stood up as he spoke in frustration
“Don’t forget that I married Evelyn and……
“you do not have an atom of right to mention that name, ever!!!!!
Old Gerald yelled and hit his cane hard on the floor.
His chest felt stuffy and contracted as he heaved unevenly
“You did not deserve her, she gave you everything but yet you you betrayed her!! your betrayal took her away!!!
She she loved you!! She loved you so much but what did you pay her back with?!!! Cheat!
Mr Sterling felt stuffy too with those memories but refused to take the blame even though he knew he was the major cause of her death.
“If she did love me so much as you claimed, why did she put all the properties in her daughter’s name?It should be in my name instead!!!
Mr Sterling boomed
Old Gerald chuckled angrily
“You want to know why? Though my daughter was in love with you, that didn’t mean she was naive and blind…..at first she wanted to put all those wealth in your name with time but then when you started treating her bad while she was still pregnant with Georgia, she changed her mind….. she thought, if you could treat her this way then you would also treat Georgia badly and she was right!!!
Old Gerald breathed in a pause and continued with eyes glaring at Mr Sterling
“Evelyn was so right! You and your wife treated Georgia like shit! like a slave!!
You even disowned her after all she wasn’t really important to you right?! but now you found out that she is way more important than your stupid self!!!
Mr Sterling was dejectedly quiet as Old Gerald spoke
“Had I known this, I wouldn’t have allowed her to get married to a disgusting cheat like you!!!
Old Gerald spat and Mr Sterling couldn’t take it anymore
“Shut up old man!! If you refuse to help the Sterling then it’s Georgia who would suffer it! Don’t forget it’s all Evelyn’s sweat!!!
Mr Sterling boomed
“Granpa?
A voice sounded and resounded and Georgia walked over to old Gerald, he looked pale
“Grandpa are you alright?
Georgia asked again completely ignoring Mr Sterling as if he was air, no as if he didn’t exist at all, after all air does exist.
Old Gerald nodded but still felt stuffy because of the thoughts of his late daughter, Evelyn..
Furthermore, seeing Georgia walk right through the door towards him, memories upon memories of Evelyn came rushing right into him, the reason was because, Georgia looked so much like her mother.
Same eyes, same face, same hair color and smile.
Georgia turned to her father with a hateful glare
“What are you doing here Mr Sterling?!
She asked .
