Few hours later, the Donovans gathered around Dylan like flies, asking him about how he feels and so forth
Mrs Donovan kept silent and watched Ryan and Leah talk with Dylan.
She walked closer to them meekly and nervously as she was about to face her son who she hadn’t seen for many years and who was not so close and happy with her
“Dylan?
Madam Viola whispered but enough for Dylan and the rest to hear.
Ryan and Leah immediately shut up and watched Dylan who didn’t react to being called
“Son?
Madam Viola called again
“I need to rest, you all can leave now”
Dylan muttered with eyes closed, totally ignoring his mom
Madam Viola felt downcast and dejected, she really thought that at least all this years, Dylan would have lessened the grudge against her but who knew he was still mad at her so much that he wouldn’t even want to talk to nor look at her.
Ryan just kept mum while Leah felt bad for her mom and tried to reason with Dylan
“Brother you shouldn’t treat mo…..”
“Seems you really enjoyed your time at the family house the last time, why not I make it a month this time around?
Dylan indirectly threatened, completely making Leah to stop talking at once.
Even though she spent some good time with her mom the last time Dylan made her go to the family house, she still doesn’t want to go back again at least for now, not even for few days, and Dylan is talking about a month?
One whole month?!
Nah. she’ll pass.
Dylan seeing the reaction he expected, calmly closed back his eyes tiredly
Ryan was the first to leave after patting Dylan’s shoulder.
Leah rolled her eyes and urged her mom to for them to leave which Madam Viola complied hesitantly.
After the room became silent, Dylan who got his eyes shut, opened them as he looked at the door like a hawk, his thoughts unknown and his face expressionless.

The man widened his eyes in panic
“Please father, just help me please….I really need this money, I’m going bankrupt, Sterling Enterprise is going down the drain!
Mr Sterling pleaded desperately to his father in-law on his knees
Old Gerald scoffed
“oh so I can be referred to as Father? who knew that the oh so proud Sterling will one day stoop so low to even kneel down, ah such an ironic world”
“well I have no intention to help you”
Old Gerald uttered without filter
“What do you mean you have no intention?? I’m your son-in-law!!
