Love Happens
Episode 24

The ray of the morning sun shining on my eyes made me flutter my eyes open.
I flinched at the striking ache of my head just by my temples.
I took off the blanket slowly getting up, I slipped my legs into the flip-flops and looked at the opened glasses to the balcony.
The day was looking bright and the weather lovely. I should have a better day today.
I sighed and went to the bathroom, I faced the mirror and noticed how bad my face looks with eye bags, pale looking lips and dull eyes.
Seems i’m letting this thing get to me too much. I should probably get a glass of water or an apple for a fresh start.
I applied toothpaste to my toothbrush and brushed my teeth lightly for some time, then i rinsed my mouth with water. I dropped my toothbrush in the holder and walked out of the bathroom.
I opened the door and started walking down the hallways to the kitchen. I got there and was surprised to see him.
Alexander Anderson.
“Xander”. I said surprised.
“Hey, Ash”. He grinned.
I rolled my eyes. Other times, i would have teased him, scold him or worse, pull a prank on him. But right now, i don’t feel like it.
I ignored him and went to the refrigerator opening it. I took an apple taking a bite out of it then i closed the fridge with the apple in my hand.
“Cute Jammie’s”.
I looked down and saw i was wearing my duckies pajamas.
He continued. “Seems cute though”.
“Look, i’m not in the mood any any prank you are trying to pull on me”. I said taking another bite from my apple leaning on the fridge.
“We called it a truce, remember?”. He said raising an eyebrow.
“I don’t trust you, Alexander”. I glared at him. “For all i know, you might be kidding”.
He got down from the counter coming close to me. “What about the hug?. I wasn’t kidding, were you kidding?”. He asked staring at me.
“Umm… Xander… You are…too close”. I said stuttering.
“Am i?”. He asked coming closer.
I went backwards trying to move away from him but my back hit the refrigerator.
I looked at him as i stared into his blue eyes.
Clear like the ocean.
Our faces were practically inches away …
