MUMBA VILLAGE*
NEXT DAY*
Adam went track to school as usual and many people stared at him like a weirdo, he has bruises all over his face
“Hey slave,” a boy of his age said
He looked at the boy but didn’t say a thing
“You don’t belong here, this school is for the Royal and noble, you’re a slave and I don’t know why the king allow you to be here,” the boy added
The people around laugh
Adam made to walk past but they blocked his way
“Am not done talking weirdo,” the boy replied and pushed him back
“Why not just leave him alone goofy,” Sharon said
She was among the crowd
“Shout up you, what did you know, are you his girlfriend or maybe sx mate,” goofy asked
Made didn’t want any trouble cos he was already late, he turned to follow another way to avoid the boy but was pushed from behind
The guy laughed with his friends
Adam stood up and dust his clothes then left without saying a word
“Hey, Adam are you alright?” Sharon asked
He didn’t even bother to look at her as he made his way out, he went into the class and everyone looked at him cos of the dust and how he looks
“What happened?” River asked
“Nothing,” he replied
“Adam, what happened?” River asked again staring at him
“River it’s nothing, okay am fine,” he replied
Sharon walked up to them
“Adam, you need to clean yourself, and…..”
“What happened?” River asked her
“Goofy and his friends bullied him,” she replied
River stood up instantly
“River nothing happened, am fine,” Adam said
“Sharon, what happened?” River asked ignoring Adam
“Goofy said the king is stupid to allow a slave like him in the noble school, that’s he’s supposed to attend the general school like the less privilege like him, and….”
River didn’t wait to hear the end and stormed off

In the same building, another class*
River went in without looking at the teacher, he went straight to goofy and pulled him by his collar, and next, he pvnched his face
“My prince,” goofy called shocked
River pvnched him again and his lips burst, goofy made to fght back but two other boys came forward and held him down
“Leave him, let him fght him and have his he.ad ¢ut off,” River said
He grabbed the goofy by his collar and started sending pvnches to his face
“Who is the slave now?” He asked still pvnching him
“I said who is the slave now?” River yelled
“I’m the slave, my prince,” goofy replied
River dragged him out, they get too many students followed, they went over to Adams’ class and arriver pvshed him down
“Apologize now,” he said
“Adam am sorry,” goofy said
“Get out,” River yelled and ki¢ked his bvtt
“What for me after school, I have something to tell you,” River said as he sat next to Adam
“What is that?” Adam asked curiously
“Just wait,” River replied
“Am curious, am I cvrsed? Or am I a wizard? A dmon? A mnster? Which one,” Adam asked
“Just wait,” River replied

BROWN HOUSE*
The family was eating at the dinner when Mr Brown came downstairs, immediately Karan saw her she stood up to leave
“Karan baby are you done eating?” Her mother asked
“I will eat in the cafe at school,” she replied
Mrs brown stared at her husband and looked away
“Karan set and eat,” Mr. Brown said
“No thank you,” she replied instantly
“Karan, what’s wrong with you? This is Dad, your favorite person,” Eddy said staring at her
She was already shaking
“You’re doing as if he’s a stranger or something, did something happen? Dad, mom what happened?” Olivia asked
Karan didn’t say a word she just took and backpack ready to leave when her father grabbed her hand
“Arghhh,” she frightened
He quickly let go of her and she rushed out Mrs. Brown followed her immediately
“My daughter is now afraid of me,” Mr. Brown thought silently
Mr Brown suddenly look up and his eyes landed on something that made him turn blue…..

Chai, in a case like this everyone, is a suspect to me
