Adam was still crying over River, he cried till he was tired and decided to jump too, there is no need of staying back
The only person that he called his family is gone because of him. He klled his brother again, he never wanted to believe that he was cvrsed but now everything is clear
The person that stood by him is gone, all hope is lost. He made to jump down the cliff but someone pulled him back, turns out to be the guards.
They carried him back to the palace. He didn’t have the strength to shout or cry but immediately he saw the king’s angry face, he didn’t need a seer to tell him that he was dead
“And River?” The king asked
“Am sorry your highness he fell down the cliff,” one of the guards replied.
The king was silent for a while, everyone was also silent. Adam, on the other hand, was shaking with fear
“What did I tell you about the village?” The king asked Adam
“You said… You said I should…… I shouldn’t think of going out from this village,” he replied
“And?”
“And that if am found trying to leave this village that it will be the end of me,” Adam replied
“You just judge yourself. Take him away and lock him in the darkest dvngeon, I will decide his faith tomorrow,” the king said
“Father please am sorry,” He apologies
“How many more did you want to kll?” The king asked
“Father I didn’t kll anyone, am innocent,” he said
The king angrily sI.apped him immediately and he falls down
“I said how many more did you want to kll,” he yelled
The guards shifted back in fear
“Take it away,” The king added
He didn’t bother to tell them to look for River, the clif is so high and anyone that falls there will end up d.ead

“you can just stop this,” the queen said to her sister
She visited her like she always does
“Just let me out,” her sister replied
“Why is it so hard for you to cry? You’re no longer a goddess, you’re powerless… A goddess without power is no use, just cry and give me what I want,” the queen. Suddenly yelled
“I told you before and am telling you now, I have tried but nothing happened am even trying right now but you can see that my eyes are dry, I can’t cry,” the yelled back
“I just wasted my time coming in here, I guess you will cry when you see the d.ead body cos he’s dying tomorrow,” the queen replied
“Hope you know that I will come out from here one day? And that day is getting closer, any day I come out of here will be your last day to exist both in heaven and earth,” Aphrodite said
“Empty threat from a powerless goddess,” the queens mocked and left

NEXT DAY*
Adam was dragged out of the prison with a lot of b!tes on his body, he was weak due to the amount of be.ating he received in there
The creatures down there b!te the living h’ll out of him, and everyone gathered to witness the pvnishment
Many people pity him cos of the way he looked, he looked pitiful but none dare to say a word
“Father,” he called when they made him kneel before the king
“You’re a dmon and a traitor to this community, am supposed to bhead you for taking the life of others but you will have a very slow and pa!nful de.ath, wh!p him till he stopped breathing,” the king said
“Father please have mercy, please am also your son, I didn’t kll my brothers, I didn’t know that they will d!e, father please,” he pleaded
“Take him away and do the needful,” the king ordered
“Father kll me, just kll me instead cos I want to d!e, I want to d!e… Kll me already,” He said with the little strength he has left
The guards made to drag him out
“Get your hands off me,” he suddenly yelled taking everyone by surprise
“I want to d!e just kll me, kll me or I will kll myself, father kll me,” He said with tears
