Esther was later buried by her family members,..but life has to move on,…
Meanwhile, Lucy withdrew the one million naira sent to her by Ken to buy things for his daughter,.. but instead she used part of the money to go shopping for her own daughter Clara and picked just three okrika clothes for Jemima,..too bad!!
Ken never stopped sending money for Lucy to use for his daughter upkeep, but instead, Lucy would use the money to buy beautiful things for her own daughter Clara and herself. While Jemima would be left behind,…not until one certain day, Ken called Lucy on phone.
“Hello Ken”, Lucy greeted on phone.
“Lucy how are you? Ken asked.
“Am very fine Ken and you? Lucy replied smiling.
“Am doing very great!! so how is my beautiful daughter doing?” Ken asked at the other end of the call.
“Oh she is doing very good!! Ken pls I want to tell you something”, Lucy said.
“Okk am all ears! ride on”,Ken said.
“errm..errrm.. errm you see!! I will like to enroll your daughter in school because of my work”,Lucy said.
“Hahahaha!! Lucy you are such a funny woman!! You want to enroll an infant in school!! But my daughter is still tender!! Don’t worry when she comes of age I will enroll her in one of the biggest school there in Nigeria!! For now she is still a baby na”,Ken said laughing.
“Wait!!how old is my daughter? Ken added
“She is five months plus,..and beside I just want to enroll her in daycare because of my work, pls just try to understand me!! What am doing is not easy and bes…”,
“Okk!! ok!! it alright!! do you have any big school in mind where you can enroll her? But let it be a big school, I want the best for my princess”, Ken cut in.
“Yes!! there is this school in my mind,.. it’s a very big school!! the name of the school is errm.. errm..grandy school!! The owner of the school is from England!! And the school is very expensive”, Lucy said smiling on phone.
“Soo how much are we talking about here?” Ken asked.
“Errm..errrm one hundred and fifty thousand per term”, Lucy lied.
“Hmmm!! ok is alright!! first thing tomorrow morning I will send you five hundred thousand for three terms, then use the change get something for yourself”, Ken said.
“Aaah!! now you are talking! Thank you very much”, Lucy thanked him.
“No problem!! yeah that reminds me!! what about your baby? Because I know you must have giving birth by now”,Ken asked.
“Well!! actually I gave birth to a baby girl but she died immediately I gave birth to her” Lucy lied and fake a cry.
“Oh my!! so sorry!! I really feel your pain”, Ken said.
“Thanks Ken”, Lucy said.
“What name did you give to my princess? I mean!! what is my daughter’s name? Ken asked. Her name is Jemi… oh sorry I mean Clara!! Your daughter’s name is Clara”, Lucy lied on phone.
“Clara?? Wow I love that name! Thank you very much for giving my daughter a nice name! Pls can I asked you for a favor?” Ken said at the other end of the call.
“Sure!! am all ears”, Lucy replied.
“Pls I want you to send me the pictures of my daughter Clara on WhatsApp, let me see her face”, Ken said.
“Oh!! you don’t have a problem with that, I will send you all her pix!! Your daughter is really a beautiful girl”. Lucy said.
“Thanks for the compliment!! I will be expecting the pix, ok? Ken said.
“No problem”, Lucy replied.
“Ok then I will call you later”, Ken said.
“Ok is alright bye”, Lucy said.
“Bye!! greet my princess for me ok”, Ken said.
“Ok I will”, Lucy replied and hung up, after she ended the call, she smiled to herself.
“I will gather all my daughter Clara’s beautiful pictures and send to him on WhatsApp,… infact!! from today onward, Clara is Ken’s daughter and not that badluck Jemima,.. Hahahaha!! this is my chance to become a millionaire”. Lucy thought to herself and smiled devilishly….
