“Who are you?” Alex furrowed his brows.
“You’ll soon know” Hailey smirked and bit her lips.
“Just come with me and you’ll find out” Hailey stretched her hand to touch Alex but he took a step back.
Somehow, Alex didn’t like the vibes he was getting from her.
“My mommy told me not to follow strangers” Alex said.
“Oh just come and-”
“Touch my son and I’ll decapitate that thing you call arm”
Hailey turned back to see Brittany. She was coming down from the cab when she saw them. Brittany walked closer to them with her gaze never leaving Hailey.
“Mommy” Alex ran to her and hugged her knees.
Brittany smiled and picked him up then kissed his cheek before facing Hailey.
“I told you to stay away from my son right? It seems like you don’t value your freedom” Brittany said.
“And you don’t also value your life…” Brittany said and looked at her from head to toe before shaking her head.
“Honestly, I don’t know what my dad saw in you before choosing you as his second wife. He could have picked more better..” Brittany said and entered back the cab before leaving with.
Hailey gritted her teeth in anger as she watched the taxi drive away. Her anger slowly turned to dangerous smirk
“Patience is the key” She muttered and got back in the car before the car drove off.

Jessica hugged her pillow as she rolled on the bed for the uptenth time. She sighed when she remember Rhett’s words.

FLASHBACK**
Rhett slowly broke the hug still looking shocked and surprised.
“Jessi.. I’m sorry but I can’t reciprocate your feelings. I need to focus on my mother…love can come later.” He said.
Jessica sighed and nodded sadly. She was expecting it anyways.
“Can we still be friends like before?” Jessica pouted cutely.
Rhett nodded with a smile and ruffled her hair.

FLASHBACK ENDS**
Jessica picked up her phone and stared at the wallpaper of her phone’s screen. It was a picture of her and Rhett with flour all over their faces.
“I love you” She pouted and kssed her screen.
Her door suddenly swung open and she looked back to see it was Brittany.
“Oh sorry, I just came back and decided to check up on you. Didnt know you were busy” Brittany said and turned to leave.
“Oh no… It’s fine, please come in” Jessica said and sat up on her.
Brittany closed the door behind her and sat down next to Jessica.
“What’s wrong? You look sad” Brittany said.
Jessica sighed and looked at her fingers.
“There’s this guy I work with.. The first day I saw him, I just had this crazy feelings for him. I told him about my feelings for him and he turned me down. He said he’s not into love for now” Jessica pouted.
Brittany chuckled.
“My baby Jessica is growing” Brittany said.
“Hey! You’re just two years older!” Jessica said and Brittany smiled.
“Well if he says so then you can’t do anything about it. It’s either you move on or you wait for him” Brittany said.
“But I love him so much!” Jessica said.
“You wait till he’s ready then but don’t hold it too much at heart because he might still not end up choosing you.. Also you have to know more about him. I don’t want you to end up just like me” Brittany said.
Jessica thought and nodded.
“I’ll do so sis. Thanks so much!!” Jessica hugged Brittany.
“Welcome” Brittany smiled.

NICHOLAS’S MANSION**
Nicholas sat down on the couch in his living room as he thought of everything that Brittany said.
“She really went through a lot” He sighed and frowned when he remember Aidan was part of the reasons.
“That two faced bstard” He gritted his teeth.
“Sir… A lady wants to see you” One of his maid came in the living room and announced.
Nicholas raised his brows. Who could that be??
“Let her in” He said
Sounds of heels could be heard and soon a red haired lady came to view. She was putting on a red gown which had a part covering her bbs and her waist down to her middle thigh, the other parts were transparent.
“Nick” She smiled and came then sat on his thigh.
“What do you want?” Nicholas asked her.
“I was just yunno,,, feeling so bored and lonely. Decided to pay you a visit and…keep you company” She said with her sweet voice while playing with the buttons on Nicholas’s shirt.
Her hands ran through the bare part of his shirt as she rocked his dk. Nicholas sighed and closed his eyes.
“Layla please, I’m not in the mood please leave” Nicholas said.
Layla stared at him in surprise. Nicholas is always ready for sx, what’s happening?
“Are you sick or something?” Layla made to touch his forehead but he caught her hand.
“Leave” He said.
Layla scoffed and stood up from his thigh.
“You’re so boring now” She muttered and left.
Nicholas rested his head on the couch as he looked up at ceiling.
“What did she do to me?”

MORNING, ADDISON MANSION**
The annoying noise produce by the alarm woke Savannah up. She groaned and stretched her hand out of the duvet to turn it off but she could reach it.
Another hand suddenly turned the alarm off.
Savannah furrowed her brows and raised the duvet from her head.
“Ahhhhhh!!!!” A scream erupted from her mouth when she saw Kenneth sitting on the stool beside her bed.
She shifted at the other end of the bed as she stared at him.
“What are you doing here?” Savannah asked, breathing heavily.
“Good morning snoring queen” Kenneth smiled.
“How did you get in?.” Savannah furrowed her brows.
“Uhm through the door” Kenneth replied.
“I let him in.. Since he’s Connor it will be bad to treat him differently” Audrey said from the door and winked.
“Thanks aunt” Kenneth winked back.
Savannah frowned. She knows already what her mother was trying to do…
Savannah rolled her eyes and looked away.
“I wanna have my bath, leave” She said.
Kenneth sighed..
“I’m sorry Savvy… I was afraid you’ll hàte me that’s why I didn’t tell you earlier” Kenneth muttered.
Savannah still looked away, not replying him. Kenneth sighed sadly and left her room. Savannah turned when she felt he left.
She sighed too and hugged her knees..

“She’s still angry?” Rowan, Savannah’s father asked.
“Yes uncle…” Kenneth said sadly.
“Don’t worry. Thats how my baby is,, she hardly forgives especially when she’s hurt” Rowan said.
“I’m sure she’ll come around. Just give her some time” Audrey said, arranging the table for breakfast.
“I hope so too… It’s been almost 4 days already” Kenneth said.
“Still can’t believe you’re Connor” Rowan chuckled.
“Yeah. I’m sorry once more for lying to you all… Please don’t treat me differently, treat me just the same way as before.. It doesn’t matter if you’re my father’s worker” Kenneth said.
“Don’t worry son” Rowan patted his back.

“Thanks for the ride Justin” Brittany winked at Justin who was taken aback by it.
Strangely, he felt his heart flutter.
“Sure no problem” He replied and drove off..
Brittany brought out her phone while entering the company. She dialed a number.
“Miss Rodriguez?” Matteo said.
“Matteo, please I need your help. Can you send some people to discreetly watch over my son??” Brittany asked.
“Sure that won’t be a problem” He replied.
“Thanks” Brittany smiled.
“Remember. You have just one month and a week” Matteo said and Brittany nodded.
“Don’t worry, I have confidence. I’m slowly getting there” She replied.
“Good have a nice day Miss Rodriguez” Matteo said and hung up.
Brittany came out of the elevator. She walked to her office and placed her bag on the table.
She went to Nicholas’s office and made to open it but the door opened on it’s own.
“Boss… You’re quite early these days” Brittany said.
“Who’s that guy who keeps dropping you off?” Nicholas asked.
“Huh?”
“I couldn’t help but notice he has been stalking you lately” Nicholas said.
“Oh.. Well he’s a friend and my neighbor” Brittany replied and noticed that sour look on his face.
“Wait…don’t tell me you’re-”
“I sent some work on your laptop. Get to work” He said and shut his door.
Brittany looked surprised. She slowly smirked.
“Wow! It’s working” She thought and went to her office..
